We were a family in crisis and within hours of contacting Right at Home, we had a care manager in our home assessing our needs and providing invaluable support and advice. A care plan for my dad was put into action within the week.
Dad's needs were always the main focus, but those of the wider family
were also taken into account and all decisions were made together, as a team. Dad was encouraged to remain as independent as possible and the caregivers never tried to take over.
After only a couple of days of care, we were over our crisis and Dad was able to look after himself again, so we were able to cease the care plan. I'm sure the support we received from Right at Home played a large part in his quick recovery. We would not hesitate in engaging with Right at Home again in the future if the need arose and we would highly recommend them.

It is our first time using home care services. The whole team have been extremely helpful in guiding us through the process, making lots of helpful suggestions and being really flexible, as Mum's needs have changed. The carer has been so kind and thoughtful, I really wish we had started using them sooner.

The carers have always been the same regular carers and consistent. Any new carers are introduced to my mother.

All staff at Right At Home - carers and management - are always helpful, polite and friendly, while also delivering a very professional service. It has been a great help to have the carers on hand for daily assistance in small things - shopping or medication for example - or for greater help when necessary.
It is very reassuring to know your relative is being well treated in a consistent and reliable way when you can't be around to help out. Right At Home have always kept me informed of any issues that they might observe so that we can plan together how they are managed. Additionally, Right At Home were great all through the pandemic lockdowns when they kept my relative safe when I had responsibilities for another elderly relative.

The standard of care - especially during recent very difficult circumstances - has always been exceptionally good. Everyone involved has been very cooperative and the management team have always gone well beyond any duty of care requirements. Visiting medical professionals - GPs and nurses - have all
been extremely complimentary and reassuring about the standard of care being administered by the caregivers. The team of caregivers are lead by a dedicated manager who pays great attention to details and ensures that her team do the same. This level of exceptional is very reassuring to our family.

Right at Home were brilliant from the start when one of my relatives required extra help with daily tasks and preparing meals. They kept me fully informed of any issues and were always ready with advice, which was really helpful. During the last months of care, they helped look after my relative with
respect, always putting her needs first and ensuring that she was comfortable and happy during their visits. I would thoroughly recommend Right at Home to anyone that requires care, they were professional and provided an excellent service which took all the anxiety away which enabled my relative to remain in her own home, where she felt safe and cared for.

We could not have made a better choice and I cannot sing their praises loudly enough. Right at Home provided excellent care for mum from July 2021 to her passing away in December 2021. They not only cared for mum but also supported my father who was at home with mum. The management team were thorough
in their assessment and put everything in place for mum to be able to return home from respite care. The caregivers were always kind, friendly, and respectful. They managed mum's day-to-day personal care and medication well and handled mum's changing needs as her health declined with great flexibility and always went the extra mile when required. In mum's last week of life, their support for the whole family was outstanding. I can honestly say that we could not have done it without them. Three of the lovely caregivers even came to mum's funeral.

Right at Home provided care for my mother for over 3 years until her death, replacing her previous care agency, with who we were not happy. The manager and her team were great. The agency is very well run. The manager is very thorough and committed in all areas, in choosing and managing staff, instigating
rigid protocol during the pandemic etc. The carers were both professional and friendly, diligent in reporting any problems to the doctor or calling the hospital if necessary and carrying out their duties. They would also do a bit of cleaning etc if they had spare time. My mother often commented that she viewed them as friends, not professionals. Their thoroughness made my siblings lives, and mine, a lot easier. We were very happy all round.

We could not have asked for better carers for the last 2 years of my mother's life. The manager and her team were kind, respectful, efficient, always on time and went above and beyond in what they did for her. They were also very supportive of her family. Mum always said they were friends, not carers.
We are so grateful that they enabled us to keep Mum at home until she died which was so important to her.

I required homecare to be put in place in order for my mum to be able to return home after a period of convalescent following a fall. I contacted the local Right at Home Office who promptly arranged a meeting to assess our requirements and a care package was put in place at short notice. The communication
and advice provided by the management team was excellent and the daily help and support provided by the lovely caregivers have allowed Mum to regain her independence once again. The team have provided a friendly, reliable and caring service and now we have found them we will definitely continue to use their services.

The client's situation changed speedily and I was impressed with the speed with which changes were made to her care in terms of increased support. I was also grateful for the concern shown regarding her health and the willingness of the care manager to liaise on the client's behalf with other agencies
to achieve a good outcome. I was also impressed with the training given to carers in respect of the new equipment installed.

No one wants to admit they need help and support so finding a care company that understood we needed to take things very slowly. Starting with just a couple of well-being visits, that weren't too intrusive, was the key to a longer-term plan, should my Dad need more help in the future. His carers appear
to be doing that as Dad says they are very friendly and it's nice to have a chat with someone. For me, it's great to know there are an extra pair of eyes keeping an eye on my Dad that can help assess the situation and they let me know if there is anything they think I should be aware of.

I have found this care provider very helpful and adaptable to different needs.
They have been caring for our mother for around 2 years now and have been very good at keeping things going and meeting her needs.

I am the proud Owner/Director of Right at Home Hemel Hempstead, an award-winning quality Homecare provider, loved by people who we are honoured to serve.


After completing my postgraduate degree in 2006, I began my career as an offshore structural engineer working for multinational oil & gas corporations. While proud of my engineering journey, I longed for something more meaningful - something that would satisfy my heart and soul, too.


Walking alongside my parents as they grew older, and supporting my father through hospital care, gave me a personal understanding of the value of quality care and deepened my resolve to pursue this path.


Ultimately, Right at Home’s core values of “Trust”, “Quality”, “Compassion”, and “Respect” truly resonated with me and convinced me to take the leap and join this highly praised, award-winning franchise group in late 2024.

My priority is to ensure every Carer has the guidance, training, and resources needed to deliver compassionate, high-quality care that upholds dignity and respect for every client.


My journey in health and social care began at 18, when I discovered my passion for making a difference as a Carer. Since then, I’ve progressed through various roles, including Senior Carer, Deputy Manager, and Trainer, supporting Carers in achieving their Level 2 and 3 qualifications. Each step has deepened my commitment to person-centred care and to empowering others within the profession.


One of my proudest milestones has been my promotion to Registered Manager, which enables me to shape care delivery in a way that is truly personalised to each client, while mentoring and developing our care team. What I value most is seeing the positive impact we make daily in the lives of our clients and their families.


Looking ahead, my goal is to continue growing our team and client base so that more people can enjoy living independently at home, supported by outstanding care.

My name is Nikki, and I’m the Deputy Care Manager at Right at Home Hemel Hempstead.


After many years in the corporate financial sector, I chose to pursue a more meaningful career in healthcare, inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic and caring for my mother-in-law until her passing in 2023.


My journey began by volunteering with St John Ambulance, training as a first aider and supporting community and national events, including the London Marathon. I later joined Right at Home as a Carer, where I discovered genuine fulfilment in supporting clients and families.


Keen to take on greater responsibility, I became Care Coordinator, focusing on planning and communication to ensure consistent high-quality care and uphold our people-centred values.


Now, as Deputy Care Manager, I’m proud to guide our dedicated team, providing the resources and encouragement they need to deliver compassionate, personalised care that respects each client’s dignity and independence.

I have worked in health and social care for over 13 years, with the majority of my experience in home care and community support.

I started my journey as a care worker and support worker, before progressing into leadership positions where I developed valuable skills in coordination, mentoring, and maintaining high standards of care.


As the Care Coordinator, I am committed to delivering excellent planning and organisation, serving as a key point of communication, and ensuring that both our clients and care professionals feel supported at every stage.
