Very satisfactory care - much kindness, consistency and support.

The client's situation changed speedily and I was impressed with the speed with which changes were made to her care in terms of increased support. I was also grateful for the concern shown regarding her health and the willingness of the care manager to liaise on the client's behalf with other agencies to achieve a good outcome. I was also impressed with the training given to carers in respect of the new equipment installed.

We recently appointed Right at Home to provide daily care visits for my father and we’ve been very happy with the friendly, sensitive and professional service given so far. The daily visits have provided reassurance for not only my father but also my sister and I, that experienced caregivers are keeping a professional eye on his condition and giving him companionship every day.

No one wants to admit they need help and support so finding a care company that understood we needed to take things very slowly. Starting with just a couple of well-being visits, that weren't too intrusive, was the key to a longer-term plan, should my Dad need more help in the future. His carers appear to be doing that as Dad says they are very friendly and it's nice to have a chat with someone. For me, it's great to know there are an extra pair of eyes keeping an eye on my Dad that can help assess the situation and they let me know if there is anything they think I should be aware of.

My mum had carers from Right at Home for just over a year. They were all so friendly and eager to help Mum in any way they could. The carers were patient and kind, even when Mum was being difficult, they knew how to get the best out of her. They were encouraging to Mum and me and would go the extra mile. Mum had a live-in carer for the last 7 months who would be supported by an hourly carer for personal care, which worked very well. In Mum’s last hours, the hourly carer stayed on beyond her shift to not only help look after Mum but to support me and the live-in carer in what was a very difficult time. Whenever I had the need to speak to the office, the manager and other staff were always very helpful and made sure I was happy with the care Mum was receiving. They would take flowers or little surprises into Mum if she seemed a bit low and made a fuss of her on her birthday and Christmas. My husband now has Right at Home to look after his parents because I had such a positive experience with them.

Right at Home has thus far provided an excellent standard of care that has not only improved my father's health and welfare but is also empowering him to gain more confidence in himself during a difficult decline. They have also been very supportive and on-the-ball with all of all my father's health needs, whether that's organizing all the logistics of his Covid vaccine, adjusting the care plan to meet emerging needs, or highlighting areas around the home that could be adapted to make him more comfortable and safe. Even better, they got him playing chess within a week. They are encouraging him, and it shows in our phone calls, where he is more confident and chatty than he's ever been, talking about the activities he's done. Right at Home are prompt and thorough with updates, and a pleasure to speak with. I am very glad Right at Home are involved, and relieved that my father's mood is much improved due to the excellent care he has been receiving.

My friend recommended Right at Home to me because she receives a service from them and very pleased. Now, they are my father's carers. Right at Home have been an absolute Godsend, supporting my father and giving me advice and guidance along the way. They really go above and beyond for the person they care for and also the support they give to the family.

All carers and managers are clearly focused on the care for my father. They are very practical with advice which helps me care for my father too. The team are also very good at the more pastoral side of caring and will sit and chat with Dad for a while each day.

Right at Home cared for my grandmother who was extremely frail and has dementia. The carers were so kind and very professional, the management team were also extremely helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble giving me, my family and most importantly my grandmother the full support we needed.

Right at Home first stepped in to help my mum back in March. She had recently lost her husband, who was her main carer and suffers from Dementia. In what was an extremely upsetting and stressful time for her and my family, the carer provided by Right At Home guided mum through both her bereavement and everyday living. The carer stayed until early July, and within that period, she also had to deal with COVID19. The carer was truly remarkable in being everything to mum during this time, and I cannot give enough thanks and gratitude for the total professionalism shown.

After careful consideration of several care providers, we decided to go with Right at Home as even though it was the most expensive of the firms we researched, upon meeting the manager we were super impressed with her knowledge and professional caring manner so had no hesitation in using them for my parents daily care. They have been exceptional, all carers if not English, then have perfect English and all friendly and always on time and hard working with payment simply paid online weekly.

Right at Home have been a godsend! The wonderful Hemel Hempstead team were professional, caring and conscientious. Always there for advice, such as how to use the equipment for my mother who has advanced Parkinson's, and stepping in at short notice when we needed care for my father. They are a welcome addition to any home when care is needed.

Sincere thanks for a job very well done in stepping in to care for Mum while her live-in carers took leave. That every one of your carers who visited was well organised, punctual and reliable, was caring, friendly and engaged made a potentially difficult time happy and rewarding for Mum... and the rest of us.
