Since my first phone call enquiring about starting care for my mum, Guardian Angels have always been flexible, professional, happy to help and above all caring both to my mum and myself. I have already recommended them to someone else. They have helped ease the load for me as they take Mum to hospital
appointments for me too. They are worth the money for peace of mind.

All the carers were very pleasant and very helpful. They got me through the first month of my recovery from my accident with kindness and cheerfulness. It was most helpful to have a schedule of visits, and everyone came on time. Should I need help again I would not hesitate to contact Guardian Angels.

We moved care for my parents to Guardian Angels from another company. There was a huge difference in the quality of staff, their training and sensitivity to my parents needs. As things have moved on we have gone from day time visits to live in care. We are very happy with our GA carer, they allow my
parents independence but keep them safe and happy.
The team in the office are always on call if I need to discuss anything with them.
I would thoroughly recommend them.

My mother's health deteriorated after a chest infection in March and she was spending most of the day on or in her bed. I was visiting 3 times a day. Guardian Angels stepped in at short notice to provide the care needed. Her schedule has settled down and she generally has the same members of the team
at roughly the same time each day, providing continuity. Being able to see their notes after every visit means I can keep an eye on things.

My real concerns are twofold, to be honest:-
1- several times in weeks gone by, my father has recently had many different carers and this week for instance on the schedule there are 5 different named carers.
2- we originally asked for a slot 09:00 -09:45 but the carers are turning up much much later
at the weekends, usually it is gone 10:15 before anyone shows up and on the schedule this week on Sunday it is showing as an 11:00 start and there is one start at 08:30 which is if no use to Dad at all.
I have emailed complaining but as yet not had a response/reply.

We are very happy with the care provided to my mother. All our carers are friendly, attentive, and very chatty, which is a tonic for somebody who doesn't leave the house! I would recommend Guardian Angels.

Guardian Angels provided post-operative care and I could not have made the recovery I have without them.
Given the uncertain nature of their job, they were remarkably prompt with their appointments and the carers themselves could not have been more helpful - and all the time kept and demonstrated the
vital ingredient of 'a sense of humour' - particularly when it came to trying to put on and taking off pressure stockings!
Highly recommended - should I fall ill or need help again I would not hesitate to contact them.

Great service from the initial meeting to setting up liaison, carer and payment. Dad is now able to have an all-over wash with assistance and rest breaks and to have a chat whilst the carer prepares his dinner.

Mum needed carers urgently and Guardian Angel Carers - Spelthorne were able to start within two days and it was a huge weight off my mind knowing Mum had help three times a day. I have met some of the carers and they are wonderful and very friendly. The ladies in the office are super friendly and helpful
as well. I would highly recommend.

All of the Guardian Angels have been wonderful. From the first call, to my mother's assessment and the carers chosen to look after her; they have been so helpful and accommodating. The carers have enabled my mum to start enjoying life after a long illness and I couldn't be more grateful.

My mum's carers look after her well and bring a burst of energy and warmth into an otherwise lonely house. Her main carer is well matched and encourages her to eat and to be more active. She is always positive.

Sorry, I haven’t got time to write a review that reflects exactly how pleased my father is with his carers. Though early days, just one month in, he has struck up a very good relationship with every one of his carers and feels totally at ease and natural when there with him.

My 93-year-old mother has received care from Guardian Angels Carers - Spelthorne now for a couple of years. However, recently my mother has had some healthcare issues and guardian angels could not have been more helpful from the office staff to the carers who have been outstanding. I know my mother
fully appreciates them all and so do I. We look forward to continuing with their care once my mother is recovered.

I have been using Guardian Angel Carers for my father for at least 18 months now.
Overall, the standard of care has been excellent and now that Dad recognises the ladies/gents that come in, he is no longer confused about who these strangers are in his house. Coupled with the Covid situation, Guardian
Carers have taken every precaution to keep Dad safe and well, plus prompting me to get him his jabs.
He looks forward to his early morning chats with the carers over a cuppa and breakfast.

Not consistent with supply of carers, no communication from the office of carers running late or a change of staff. A mixture of skills and attitudes, some exceed the expectations others sadly don’t meet expectations. Office attitude is sometimes not professional leaving a take it or leave it attitude.

We can't thank Guardian Angels enough for their flexibility, commitment and absolute professionalism. The team are so warm and welcoming and immediately puts our minds at rest at such an incredibly difficult and sad time. Guardian Angels were brought on board for what turned out to be the final week
of mother's life. We didn't expect her to decline so rapidly and all the care plans originally set up for her had to change on Guardian Angel's first day with immediate effect. None of this was a problem. The staff who cared for my mother in that short time were all brilliant and I know my mother was grateful for their care. It's the little details that mean so much - the call from the director to see if I needed anything doing that first day, the quick and helpful adjustments to make sure my mother was comfortable as the week went on and the team's friendly and reassuring personalities. Words simply aren't enough.

Louise Cobban

Job Title: Business Owner Joined: 2018

As a child, I was fortunate enough to grow up with my grandparents having an active role in my childhood. I have fond memories of my grandmother collecting me from school, and many a summer's days with my grandfather helping him with the gardening and in his workshop. Having reached their 90th milestones I can see how it is now my role to give back to them all the love, care and support they gave to me all those years ago.


I admire our elderly community for their bravery and commitment, and strongly believe it is my duty to support them in their time of need; for we wouldn’t be where we are today without them. I, like many others, didn’t leave school with my career path set out in the care industry, but looking back I can’t believe I had never considered it. I feel very lucky to be able to combine a career with my passion for spending time with people and improving their quality of life.


This is echoed in the ethos of Guardian Angel Carers, which is why I wouldn’t have chosen any other company. Our unique, personal and exemplary service is exactly what our loved ones deserve. And together with friends, family and other healthcare professionals, it is our goal to support those in need of a helping hand to live independently at home.

Prior to this I worked in retail; mainly in customer service which gave me a strong skill set to carry forward into the world of care. Nine years later, I am still in the industry and I have worked as a Carer, Care Supervisor, Care Co-ordinator and have gained knowledge and experience in Complex Care.
I like care because of the development and growth that can be achieved; there are always new things to learn. I am currently on my two-year pathway to becoming Registered Manager which will give me valuable experience, knowledge and understanding of the care needs in my community.
