Most frequent male carer is diligent and caring and goes above and beyond his role to care, support and guide. Carers respect my dignity, and given the circumstances, make me feel as comfortable as possible during personal care. The team are as accommodating as they can be to fit care visits around
my schedule of physio, etc. I feel safe in their hands. I wouldn't have chosen a male carer, but my main male carer is simply the best! Some male carers are not as experienced as our main male carer and could do with some more training.

Your cover carer will have completed the same training as your regular carer but it often takes a little longer to build the same rapport when they don't see the same clients everyday. Every carer is good, but sometimes I am not happy because of my husband. He can't speak, carer helps to clean him.

Very efficient, they understand my problems when not feeling very well. They are courteous and very respectful towards my dignity and privacy. They are very respectful and very supportive of my care needs and support me when walking, as I may have NFD. I struggle to hear them sometimes because of hearing
loss or the pitch of their voice. They always tell me when they are going to be off and when they will be back. I go to craft days and they are always helping, they can't do enough.

Carers arriving late for morning visit, then only staying for 10 minutes instead of the allotted 45mins. Carers reported that they have completed all tasks on the care plan, when they have neglected essential personal care. Carers arguing and being confrontational with elderly parents, refusing to
do simple tasks on the care plan such as make the bed, apply cream to pressure areas, put hearing aids in ears. Refusing to change the night catheter bag.
Carers arriving 2 hours early in the evening and arguing with frail parents at being asked to come back at the right time.
Management contacted and not apologised for any of the above concerns and just became defensive. Informed me and my parents that we had unrealistic expectations of care!!!
The CQC rating of 'needs improvement' is still very much relevant and appropriate.

I'm not very happy with the lapse of them leaving my door open 3 times now when my son and grandson came home to find the door unlocked. And I have asked for a shower, which would not take more than 1/2 hour, they said I had to book an appointment, rubbish as they only spend about 10 mins every day,
when they are supposed to spend 1/2 hour.

I have found the all round performance as very good. The only thing I was concerned with is the changing over from one care to another. This doesn't always go to plan. We get on very well with all of our carers and have learnt quote a lot of their home life. Very good all round.

My condition is parkinsons. Aroma Care have looked after me since 2022. I would rate nearly all the carers as excellent. They are patient, helpful and kind. They encourage me to do what I can myself but always safely close enough for me to be safe.
My only concern is that their workload is very heavy
and they are sometimes very late in the mornings. When that happens, they sometimes telephone to let me know.
I have not rated value for money because I only pay part of the cost, the rest is paid by the local authority and I don't know what the total cost is.

Most of the time I have the same carers come who are kind, polite and respectful. They complete tasks such as helping shower/dress me etc with dignity. Sometimes carers are changed and sent newly trained staff who I then need to explain what they need to do for me. My regular carers I have built a good
rapport with as they will have a chat with me as I'm elderly, I get lonely sometimes and need someone to talk to.

I was a bit apprehensive about someone coming in to help us get undressed and dressed, and putting elastic stockings on and off I am coeliac and have mishaps with the toilet. The person I have nothing is too much trouble for them in the hot weather; meals are a problem. I have various hospital appointments,
and I mention this to the carer, and they adjust times a lot, which enables me to stay in my own home.

Aroma Care are providing excellent care for my elderly father, prior to Aroma Care, Dad has always hated anyone being in the house apart from Family, but he has built up a rapport with the Carers and has said himself that they are excellent and feels very comfortable with them. His health has recently
deteriorated after a spell in hospital, and the Carers have just taken this in their stride, never leaving him until he is settled and comfortable, they are also quick to call us with any concerns or questions. When speaking with the Head Office, I have always found them to be very helpful, caring and professional, always happy to pass on my numerous requests these days to the Carers which are always carried out. As a family all of the above, has given us great peace of mind. A big thank you to all at Aroma Care.

Absolutely didn't think care at home could be this good, the carers are happy every time they come in two carers 4 times a day helpful and very calm and supportive and the team in the office have been absolutely brilliant we as a family can't thank you enough x

4 visits per day, every visit they come in with a smile and upbeat attitude. They can't do enough for me, they make me feel comfortable. They notice if I have low days and are attentive to my emotions. I'm so glad to be with Aroma Care. I would recommend aroma care to friends and family in a heartbeat.
I have no concerns for my well-being when I'm with them.

Generally good although timing could be better. I would prefer a later call in the morning about 7:45 to 8am. 7:15 is too early as I don't sleep well because of the pain. I have had problems with one female carer who doesn't understand how bad the pain is in the morning and doesn't treat me with respect.
We have had a discussion and things have improved.

I haven't been with Aroma very long (since 21 December 2024) but I am happy with the quality of care I am receiving. The carers are all good and my wife can attest to that. The carers are respectful and are a great help to me. The office is very helpful when I need an earlier call for my appointments.
