Overall Experience

This company provides excellent care for my mum and the carers are reliable and consistently go the extra mile in what they do - I couldn't wish for a better service. I live three hours away from my mum so I particularly appreciate the way the carers are always on time and will alert me to any issues (e.g. if my mum isn't well or there are any problems in the house) and also prompt my mum to let me know when she needs any extra shopping etc. They really make sure all my mums needs are met. The office is also excellent - staff are very responsive to any requests and communication is great. Overall the peace of mind this company has enabled me to have is priceless - thank you Meridian Health and Social care, Coventry team.

Overall Experience
We have been using Meridian Social care since September 2024 through a recommendation of a friend.
We used another care company before and the difference in the care from the Meridian is 5 star.
All the staff are marvelous and go the extra mile.

I would whole heartly recommended them to anyone

Overall Experience
The support I get from both the carers and management is excellent, often going above and beyond what would be expected. Having a supportive care provider makes a lot of difference, especially when my health and physical abilities are at their lowest. Knowing that I can get help with things with just a call or email, means there's one less thing to worry about.
Recently having to go back on immunosuppressants, meant I had to isolate from any risk of infection. But their support and understanding made this a lot less stressful, along with all the help with me being both an inpatient and outpatient at hospital. Adjusting call times for example to assist with my hospital visits, helped to reduce the stress of going through all of this.

Carers are always helpful, polite and supportive, doing what's needed and more. Having regular carers too, makes things a lot easier for me, as they understand my needs and health issues.

Overall Experience
I was actually with this company about 18 months ago but cancelled as I didn't believe I needed the carers. Now I realised I do need the care, I actually asked to come back to this company.

I have found Meridian to be a really accommodating company. I was a bit unsure first as they have both female and male carers. I don't know why I was unsure as the males are as efficient as the women. Don't get me wrong I have a woman every morning for personal care but I am more than happy having the males at any other point during my day. As I said I have found this company to be really accommodating and all the staff members I've met have been lovely.

This company avoid at all cost the managers and office staff are so ignorant and rude. Left so many messages for the managers to ring me about my dads evening carers and they just ignored me disgusting when you are paying.

My grandmother has used Meridian for a little over a month, their initial assessment was for 30 minutes in the mornings to help her eat. This was not enough, as she is blind, bed-bound, and has a colostomy bag.
4 days over the festive period, no carers showed up at all with no reason provided until after the fact.
Her stoma exploded 3 times, to my knowledge. Meaning she either did not have it changed in time or had it poorly attached.

Her carer was incapable of lifting her out of her commode (a very old, very frail woman) and on numerous occasions her kitchen has been left in a mess, she hasn't been properly fed, and has been left to lie in her own excrement. I am appalled. And if I am able to afford a solicitor, will be pressing charges.

Overall Experience
The level of care from one individual certainly left a bad impression on your company. The unnamed carer has a tendency to interfere with issues beyond the remit of care and I would like to inform potential clients to avoid this company until this carer has been sacked. She caused unnecessary distress for the family and totally ignored the wishes of the client.
Why is she still in employment, it’s a disgrace that she continues to work with such vulnerable people.

Stay away from this establishment. Poor quality of care service. Take on more clientele than they can provide a dignified care service. Carers are always on a run and put pressure on the elderly to get on with things, so they can attend to others. Time management is appalling, or shall I say no time they would come. When asking for an explanation, you would never get a straight answer. Team leaders lack of management capability instead of listening to concerns and considering steps to resolve, get defensive, and instead of taking things on board they could improve on, it felt like things have fallen on deaf ears. Staff frequently changing, cannot build a rapport with clients, and lack capability, training, and no empathy for others. I would highly recommend another care provider, any other instead of Meridian. Social Services should remove or cancel their license to continue providing the care service, we had a bad experience, so warring others to stay away from them.

Overall Experience

These carers are fantastic, always go above and beyond in looking after our precious mother. Her face lights up when she sees them walk in, they're always happy, bubbly, very chatty and nothing is too much trouble for them, we as a large family, can’t thank them enough for their care and attention. The office keeps us well informed too. Well done ladies, keep up the good work you - all deserve a pay rise!

The Good: almost every single front line staff ranges from good to excellent. The Bad: Despite senior management's well-intended efforts, coordination of care remains lacking.

Overall, Synergy mean well, are pleasant to work with and do try to deliver care adequately. However, they consistently fail when it comes to coordinating this care. It's unclear to me whether there is not enough clarity in communication between senior and junior management - surprising given the efficiency of senior management. Or whether it's simply a matter of a disconnect and carry through between stated intent and actual delivery and coordination of this care by other staff members. Not enough space here for details but suffice to say that if a company with good corporate values like Sevacare/Synergy can fail repeatedly, what hope then for the lesser gods? My advice? Keep a close eye on how your chosen care provider manages your complaints. Synergy failed me, despite their good intentions.

Overall Experience
The service has been nothing short of shocking. Failure of carers to turn up on time or in some cases, not at all with no warning.
It has left an 80 yr old woman stressed and uncared for.
When they do turn up, they are there for a few minutes, despite contractual arrangements.
Complaints by phone have gone unanswered. Promises to return calls do not materialise.
I would not pay for any of the services received thus far, and I will be taking it further.

The carers are often friendly enough but are clearly disorganised and poorly managed.

I would not recommend this company to anyone, ever. They will not help you if you make a complaint about one of their carers. Instead, the managers will serve you with a notice of termination of your care package. The managers are rubbish, but the normal carers are excellent, except one, who I banished from the house. But instead of finding us another carer to replace this one who is banned permanently, with another driver just for 30 minutes every morning at 07:00 am until 07:30 am, they served us with a notice to find another care provider. They do not have loyalty to service users, and they don't appear to respect our wishes.
