Overall Experience

We have worked with the Hartwig team since 2025 largely for assistance to care for my father; we are a hands-on family and needed extra support at a testing time emotionally , physically and practically.

From the outset Hartwig have been warm & friendly, professional, efficient, and responsive to our needs (my mother later needed care as well)

We are grateful for their professionalism and for trying to seek good matches of personnel to help us (an hour a day). We understand this a great skill in itself and requiring much sensitivity;

When at times there has been the odd comment (can be both ways) or a personnel matter - channels are always open (both ways) which we truly appreciate.

They are responsive to unexpected changing needs such as a need to cancel sessions due to dad in hospital or short notice need for extra care (sorted out within minutes! - tysm team) it takes a good amount of the strain from us.

Mum has used the carers from Hartwig for a number of years. Individually, each carer is friendly, attentive and expert. The girls come with a smile on their faces, a sense of humour and a story to entertain while dealing with a range of care tasks. The needs have grown over time, but unfailingly, the girls continue to take this in their stride. We are so appreciative.

I started having care on 11 September 2023, on a small 2x a week. Over the months, more care was needed as my needs were always met by the team at all times. The care was exemplary and all of the carers were kind, friendly and very efficient. I would strongly recommend the company to anyone in need of care. One of the best things was being welcomed by a big smile. They clearly love their work.

We wasn't sure what to expect when we started with Harwig, but we were overwhelmed with the quality of their care, love & support.

They did everything that was planned & agreed plus lots more often calling in between the schedule to help us.

In what is a tough job, their professionalism was outstanding but more than anything, we could see that they really cared.

I am very pleased with the service given to my wife. The carers are always polite and treat my wife with dignity and respect. I only wish they could let me know in advance, what time on the weekends they will be coming in the morning, so that I can give my wife her breakfast before hand, if they are late, or after if they are early. I could plan my weekends more if I was told earlier.

Carers are very good with my wife, they talk and joke with her, they are restricted to what they can do with her as she cannot eat, they constantly tell me off for not using the appliances to help lift her. They ask if there is anything she wants; which is usually a cup of tea and Larry the Lamb warmer put in the microwave.

The level of care we receive is truly wonderful. Our carers are lovely and polite. They show a great level of understanding of our needs and often offer advice to us when they think it is necessary. To be honest, I'm not sure how we would cope without them. They always come in with a smile on their face which makes us happy. The carers are amazing and we are so lucky to have them help us.

Overall Experience

I feel that Hartwig is doing their best to accommodate my needs and mostly the care workers do. However, it is very frustrating when yet another new carer turns up and doesn't appear to have read the notes on the Hartwig app about the particular requirements of the job. I know Hartwig said they are trying to give me continuity and I believe they are but it is not satisfactory on many occasions. It is easy to contact Hartwig team which is good and they always respond well when my daughter contacts them.
