1 to 1 Care is an independent care provider that was established in 2004 to provide the highest level of support and personal care to vulnerable adults in their own homes, their philosophy is very simple; the Client's best interest comes first, every time.

The company is an approved provider of homecare to Oxfordshire County Council and the Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust and they work closely with Sir Michael Sobell House Hospice. 1 to 1 Care also has a growing number of private clients.

All staff are full employees; they are carefully selected, trained & monitored for their empathy & ability to provide excellent personal care.

A high level of training, coupled with regular staff supervisions and unannounced spot checks ensure that standards of care provision are meticulously high.

They cover the following areas:- Headington, Wheatley, Cowley, Garsington, Sandford-on-Thames, Baldons, Abingdon, Sutton Courtenay, Stadhampton, Berinsfield, Dorchester, Chalgrove, Benson, Roke, Wallingford and all the villages within those boundaries.

We moved to South Oxfordshire in April 2025. Before we moved I contacted several companies searching for carers for my husband who has advanced Alzheimer's. The manager's helpful and insightful response to my enquiry gave me confidence that 1 to 1 Care was who we needed. I have been supported in dealing
with the health professionals I had to contact as the systems here are different. I continue to feel supported whenever I need advice.
My husband needs mental stimulation when he is being prepared for the day so that he can function during it. His carers are all excellent at doing this and he responds well to them; their visits always lift his spirits. Whilst they are completely professional in the care they give (including checking with me that I am well) they are also relaxed when they visit; it is as if a family member or friend is coming to care rather than someone employed to do a job. The practical and emotional care we receive could not be bettered

The staff at 1to Care are the best. They have become like family. The go above and beyond in ensuring that my mum is taken good care of. Her everyday needs and medical needs are taken care of with professionalism, kindness and dignity.
My mother has dementia so many times they need to communicate
with me. They are wonderful at letting me know if there are any concerns they have and other times they let me know that Mum was particularly happy with something. I live abroad, so the peace of mind these amazing people give me is priceless.

All the staff are attentive to mum's needs.


If we ever have any queries, they are dealt with in a speedy and professional manner.


Due to technical issues, I recently had to delay payments, communicating this with 1 to 1 Care, they assured me this wasn't an issue.


The service for mum and me, feels very personal.

Myself and my sister highly recommend 1 to 1 care, as the service they deliver is exceptional. The staff are highly trained, very friendly and empathise with the client(our mother) as to her needs. They have been the carers for mum for a few years and have become an integral part of her life, not only
as carers but as friends. She looked forward to her daily visits and often told me and my sister how good the carers treated and respected her, going beyond what would be expected of a carer. They really did become a big part of mums life.
The whole caring team can only be as good as the management that leads them, and in this case the management are excellent. The team is run by caring and intelligent people, who pass on their vision of care to their staff with training to the highest standard.
We recommend 1 to1 Care to anyone who is considering having in-home care. They are the best.

I highly recommend 1 to 1 care. They have been looking after mum for the last year. The staff are friendly, reliable and supportive to family as well as the person receiving care.
They were adaptable to unexpected events and above all have a great relationship with mum.
Initially mum was having
2 visits a day and this increased to 4 over time and the agency was quick to respond to changing needs.
We have had a great experience.

When I found myself in the unfortunate position of being housebound after hospital discharge, free care had finished and I have been looked after by 1 to 1 Care now for over 3 months and I am convinced I couldn't have made a better choice. From a well run business, to an exceptional team of carers who
are faultless in the way they look after you, not only normal duties, some not too nice tasks, go that extra mile if needed, and indeed seem more like friends than carers. Highly recommended.

My husband was initially most reluctant to accept any outside care, following an acute spell in hospital it was with the sensitive intervention from the manager and her deputy who met both of us before discharge to talk through and assess his needs so that both of us we were able to accept and arrange
immediate 1 to 1 carer services.
Since then we can say we have received happy, skilled sensitive care and friendly support from each member of the 1 to 1 Team.
We enjoy their daily visits and in particular, my husband enjoys the banter between himself and each carer as each carries out his very personal care service needs.
The 1 to 1 Care team from office to home are very much a part of our lives and we cannot thank them enough for what they do.
This small local team is highly recommended.

My mum has had multiple health problems over the past year, and the 1 to 1 team have been very caring and supportive through the whole process. As well as providing care for Mum, the staff are always supportive and considerate towards visiting family. At a time when one hears so many alarming stories
about treatment of our elders, we can rest in total confidence that Mum is getting the best possible care.

My wife, who has secondary progressive MS and who is unable to stand or walk has been a client of 1 to 1 Care since October 2016.
During that time she has enjoyed exemplary care from a small, caring, friendly, cheerful, practical and kindly team of carers who have become her friends and an important
part of her life.
Of the core team of 5 carers who support her the majority have been helping her since 2016 and provide fabulous continuity of care.
As her other principal carer I too appreciate and value the care that we receive, enjoy and value.
The managers run a brilliant team and provide an efficient and compassionate service to those in need of excellent domiciliary care.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the excellent care received from 1 to 1 Care for my mum. Mum was a very independent, difficult character and was very anti accepting care at home. But the professionalism, empathy, kindness and understanding shown by all of the carers
soon changed Mum's attitude to care, she would look forward to their visits, and was always telling me how lovely they were. The standard of care is excellent, they are all always happy and smiling, which would make Mum smile too. The professionalism starts at the top with the management team who helped us as a family so much, they all go above and beyond to ensure the absolute best care is given with a personal touch. Sadly, we recently lost Mum, but her final months were the best they could be with the help, care and love of 1 to 1 Care, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart, you truly are the best and I highly recommend you.

I am so very pleased that we found 1 to 1 Care. They had to deal with an angry, awkward and stubborn man, but they did what was needed when my husband was ready, and they did it with a smile. When he needed extra care, they were able to provide it almost instantly. The whole crew do their jobs efficiently.
They also helped me with certain tasks as I was ill for a couple of months. I can honestly say they are the best care company, and I absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs a proper, professional, friendly caregiver. I thank them so much because I don’t know how I could have coped without them.

When 1 to 1 Care were contacted, the severity of my husband's illness was not fully understood or diagnosed. It became necessary to escalate and adjust the care package and the staff were able to rapidly and flexibly increase the level of support as needed. The entire family was also supported throughout
by their kindness and professionalism and we will always be extremely grateful for the help given to my husband and us all at a time when it was desperately needed.

The 1 to 1 Care team have provided care for my father for a number of years now. The carers are considerate, careful and fun. My dad is pleased to see them and the quality of the sympathetic care, is what really stands out to me. This comes from the top, the managers have a wonderful team. They couldn't
do it without the staff, but the staff wouldn't be what they are without the leaders. I wanted to emphasize what a difference the leadership makes to the end results provided to the service user. They set excellent standards and the staff deliver them. What more is there to ask for? Dad is going into a care home now, but I must recommend them to you and say thank you! Bravo.

Having used 1 to 1 Care for the care of my dad for nearly one and a half years now, I can wholeheartedly say that as an agency, both the management and carers truly are 100% committed to providing high-quality in-home care, delivered always with so much kindness and understanding. The carers always
go the extra mile, are flexible and are nearly always able to accommodate any last minute requests we may have (which makes life easier for the whole family). Importantly they are also quick to notice any changes to my dad’s health situation and make informed, thoughtful, professional suggestions. The range of personalities is also great, all are respectful and all are a pleasure to have in our home. I would strongly recommend 1 to 1 Care, to anyone considering home care for a loved one.

The service provided by 1 to 1 care on many occasions, goes beyond what I would expect of them. For example, when an elderly relative has fallen over and is waiting for the ambulance, the 1 to 1 care will stay longer than I would expect, which can make a big difference when things get difficult. Elderly
people also need to trust the people that are looking after them, which makes a big difference.
