He was treated with a great deal of compassion and kindness.
Highly recommended.
Thank you very much for this review. I am so very glad that your father was treated with the compassion and kindness that everyone deserves.
My only criticism of Christies Care was that I was not advised of the arrangements until quite near the time of my leaving home to go for my operation, and would have liked to have known a bit earlier.
Thank you very much for these kind words. I am sorry that we didn't tell you earlier about the arrangements, I will look into this and will try and make sure that this doesn't happen in the future.
The carer was thoroughly professional and familiar with all medication and ensured visits were carried out by the district nurse. She also tenderly attended to our friend's personal needs. She has also prepared and cooked all meals from scratch - all fresh and tasty produce and together with stimulating conversation has increased our friend's wellbeing and continuing interest in life. Nothing was too much trouble for the carer. She obtained mobility equipment and even did some light housework when time allowed.
Well done Christie's.
It is lovely to hear this, I am so glad that we were able to help in what must have been such a tough time.
Due to my brother's wife dying unexpectedly, Christies Care were so efficient in providing emergency care for my brother in very difficult and emotional circumstances. They continued to provide services up until we moved my brother to a care home.
Thank you very much for this review. I am so glad that the carers were able to help in such a difficult time, at such short notice.
My mother was suffering from advanced Parkinson's disease and blindness when we contacted Christies Care Ltd about live-in care. The office provided a very swift response and arrangements were made very quickly. Both live in carers were attentive, caring and flexible, provided excellent care under difficult circumstances. The communication between the carers, myself and local support services was also exemplary. I'm certain that Mum would not have been able to spend her last few weeks at home without such high-quality care. We will always be grateful to Christies and these carers.
Thank you very much indeed for this review and I am very proud of the team and carers who did such a good job.
A very good experience from booking the carer through to the time the carer spent with my mother. The carer was attentive, patient and kind. Altogether a very professional service. I would use this company again if further care was required.
Thank you very much for this review. I am glad that our carer was (and is) attentive, patient and kind. Just the characteristics we recruit for.
My father has Parkinson's and after a spell in hospital needs an increase in care which Mum can't provide on her own. Live-in care wasn't something we had ever considered but is working really well, supporting both my parents and enabling them to both have as much quality of life as possible. We had no idea how it would work but the Christie's carer fitted straight in and turns her hand to anything and everything and is very respectful of Mum's space. We contract directly with the carer and find the cost comparable with multiple day-time care visits. Day visits are timed and it is inevitable that help is needed between these visits or in the night. After seeing it as a temporary solution when Dad came back from hospital we now envisage it will continue for the long term and would recommend it to others.
Thank you very much indeed for this review and your kind words about our carer. As we all know, success is all due to the carers, who have the combination of a proper caring attitude and the ability to bring some positive energy and try new things.
They have taken the time to understand my parents' routines and cater for their preferences.
I am impressed with the kindness and the high standard of care provided.
Thank you very much for taking the time to do this review. I am delighted to see that our carers are properly understanding and are bringing that bit of kindness that everyone needs.
We are delighted with the level of professional service that our Mother received from Christies Care Ltd. All the staff were reliable, competent, helpful and caring. We would call upon their services again without hesitation. This service comes with our highest recommendation when the need arises.
In particular, I am glad that the team were caring. Recruiting and keeping people who are genuinely caring is something we really concentrate on, so I am glad this works.
Right from the moment I first called Christies Care Ltd they have been helpful and reassuring. A carer came the same day I picked my mother up from hospital and fitted in straight away. I felt completely confident and happy leaving mum in her care. The house now looks clean and cosy and mum looks wonderfully well looked after. My mum now recognises that she needs full time care going forward, rather than just for six weeks whilst convalescing. Christies Care Ltd have been efficient and kind in setting all this up for us. I cannot thank you enough.
Thank you very much for this review. I am very glad that things have gone well. I am particularly glad that you describe the team as efficient and kind, as this is just how we want to be perceived and your review shows us that we are doing what we should.
Christies Care Ltd have been providing two 24/7 live-in carers to look after my mother, who has some extremely complex needs, since 2014. In short, Christies are superb. We have got to know our regular carers well over the years and they now feel more like friends. Christies always seem able to match carer and client and this makes life so much easier, not just for my Mother but for us as well. Over the past 6 or 7 years, we can only recall a couple of carers we would not have wanted to return. The underlying issues were dealt the promptly and efficiently by the admin team, and all the other introductions have been excellent. The carers regularly go "above and beyond" and we do everything we can to support them. We work as a team, with a bit of give and take in both directions and we have 100% confidence that my Mother is being well looked after. It's a personal service and quite frankly the care is in a different league from our experience of care homes. Christies training is outstanding.
Thank you so very much for this review, I am very glad that things have been working well. I really appreciate the way you talk about the teamwork - a useful piece of advice we can pass on to others.
They seem to allow her to do things around the home that she still enjoys, like some cooking but is tuned in to when she is getting tired and know when to step in, which I am pleased about.
When we have passed on any comments or feedback from Mum or ourselves, Christies Care has been quick to pass on our comments to the carers, and we've been impressed with Christies support and professionalism.
As the lockdown eases and summer comes along, we look forward to the carers taking Mum on a few trips to the shops and beyond.
So far, after two months, we are very happy and Mum seems to be too.
Thank you very much for the review. I am particularly glad that the carers can take your mother out for her daily walk - as a keen walker myself, I know how important it is for both mind and body.
I can’t fault the care, attention and time that Christies Care Care Coordinators put into finding the right carers for my dear 95-year-old friend. She has no family in the UK, and so the “fit” between her and her carers is very important. My views and that of the client herself have been sought before after each new carer, and the return carers are only those that are most appropriate. My impression is that the views of the carers themselves are also taken into account to ensure the most suitable outcome for all is achieved. I have become more confident in giving my honest views to Christies because I know that all feedback is viewed as constructive and is incorporated in any relevant decision making. There have certainly been challenges and difficulties, but these have been overcome in partnership. Christies really does seem to put the needs and wishes of the person being cared for at the centre of it all. Just as it should be.
Thank you very much for this review. I am particularly glad to read about how the team and you have a partnership to overcome the inevitable challenges - I've always found it makes a huge difference.
Christies Care have been extremely professional and before commencing care, completed an in-depth consultation about needs and they sought to get a very thorough understanding about exactly what was needed. The team in Saxmundham were very friendly, responsive and made the process very easy to navigate. The carer they matched is superb and my parents are extremely happy with the care they are receiving.
They were able to find a live-in carer at very short notice and kept in regular contact with me regarding his care. All his carers were patient, thoughtful and kind and enabled him to stay in his own home where he wanted to be. When he became very ill and needed more care, Christies went above and beyond to provide this, again at very short notice. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
I've been a client of Christies for about ten years and I'm very grateful for their level of help and advice. I'm able to feel and be as independent as possible while having 24hr live-in care. I think fair to say I'm younger than most clients receiving care, so Christies do all they can to find carers of a similar age and personality to myself, of which I'm very grateful. I also think the training provided to carers is of high standard, they're knowledgeable yet understanding of my personal needs which I also appreciate.
We have, so far, employed three carers in sequence to provide constant care (24/7) for my wife (who has had Parkinson's since 2012) and also some care for me (because I am currently recovering from a broken femur). All three have been most gentle when attending to my wife, helpful around the house, produce good tasty meals and are helpful and try to anticipate our wishes/needs.
In the last four months, Christies Care have provided professional and proactive support from the initial customer contact, through to the ongoing provision and scheduling of 24/7 live-in care. The level of personal care has been of a high standard and the carers have been diligent, empathetic and sensitive to the needs of the client. The management support team have always been readily available, helpful and timely in their interactions and responses. Based upon our experiences, I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the company for the live-in care services they provide.
Nothing is too much trouble and they have largely become members of our family while they are with us.
It has taken us four carers to find the right person for my Mother, I understand that you cannot always get it right first time. But all have been very efficient and proactive. Very pleased with their service even if personality-wise they haven't all clicked with Mother.
