My honest opinion of TLC care workers are to be given a medal for their care to people who cannot help themselves, or a box of fancy chocolate would not go amiss. Your care team are gifted with exceptional methods of care e.g methods of care, equipment, handling methods (bed-bound), support in movements, working together.

Overall care of my husband is excellent. He does not like change so continuity of care is essential. On occasions when substitute carers come they are inexperienced and need assistance from myself.

I receive good and pleasant service from all my carers. I prefer the carer to come between 8.45 am and 9 to 10 pm.

I have this care company because my husband has Alzheimer's, the ladies who come treat my husband with respect, they talk to him and tell him what they are doing. My husband feels comfy with them and they have a chat with me which is nice, very good company.

This is my husband's 4th year of care given by TLC Homecare. A good timekeeping service, where possible with carers he knows. The carers give good care and spend time encouraging him to speak. 1 or 2 issues with some new carers requesting more support with double sessions. Overall he is very pleased with TLC Homecare.

TLC has always been a good care company for my dad. He is hard to please sometimes and is regimented with times of day that carers should arrive if there a minute late he gets on to them. They deal with him in a professional and caring way.

Amazing from the start. My friend was reluctant to receive any care but recently she has needed a little more help than usual. Management have given me great support in helping me deal with a few problems, and have also stepped up when I needed the help regarding the care given. The carers have made real improvements on the care they provide now due to the management, managing situations appropriately and in good time. I have always had good communication from management and they have not failed to deal with any issues. Overall they are a fantastic team of people and the care they provide is to the highest quality

The carers are all extremely helpful and friendly both to my husband and myself. I still cannot believe that they make the bed and clean up the bathroom when my husband's care is done. He was even treated to a cup of tea when I was out. Well done. You make life that bit easier for us.

Meet the Team (1)
I'm Sarah, a care coordinator covering the Cudworth, Town, Darton, Worsbrough, plus any other areas of Barnsley in between.
I never thought of ever getting into care work until the horrible COVID-19 struck, and I couldn't do my previous job. I felt grounded and needed to get out of the house. I then saw a job for home care and thought I'd give that a go! I fell in love with care so much that I gave up my other job and became a team leader, and then, due to hard work, dedication and transferable skills, I became a care coordinator. I joined Choices due to the positive things I had heard and the career progression that is offered. Since starting, I have never looked back and can't wait to see where this journey will take me.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my beautiful little boy and husband.
