My experience of using the services of Carpenders Care Ltd to help look after my terminally ill wife. Although brief was very satisfying. The image portrayed of such companies in the media is unfortunately not always favourable so I am pleased to be able to report a very good service. All the carers without exception who came to our home were diligent, caring and patient, doing their best to make my wife's final days as comfortable as possible. In summary, I have nothing but admiration for the job done by the carers.

My live-in carer who stayed with me for two weeks until I was able to manage on my own, was always cheerful and very helpful and gave me all the assistance I needed.

We have always found Carpenders Care to be a very professional and responsive organisation with the clients well being always being paramount.

The carers have all been pleasant and very punctual.

There is too much differential between charges of the agency and the carers pay.

Carpenders Care Ltd is a very good and well-presented company. The manager is very reassuring and dedicated to the job. We had a pleasant stay with them as most of their carers were caring and attentive. I would recommend them to anyone.

My 86 year old father was left half paralysed, bed bound and double incontinent after a severe stroke. He was completely dependent on us 24/7 and needed 2 carers, 4 times a day.

Family life was turned upside down. Carpenders became an integral part of our everyday lives. They emailed Dad’s weekly rota so we knew who/when to expect them. Using various mobility equipment Dad relied on Carpenders to physically move him in/out of bed to/out the living room armchair.

Due to Dad being permanently bed bound it meant he constantly had bed sores of various degrees. The carers always helped Dad get comfortable and rotated him on his side so they could heal. Very attentive and if something wasn’t quite right they would always help out. Dad had continuous UTIs and suffered from hallucinations/confusion. It was at this time we needed the carers more than ever. Their good sense of humour helped us all through difficult times.

Carpenders Care were always flexible and accommodating when needed.

Follow up communication was good and problems were dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Carpenders Care has been providing care for my mother for nearly four years. For three of those years, we have had a fantastic main carer and could not have been more pleased. Since she went on maternity leave Carpenders have been very responsive in terms of finding suitable replacements. On the whole, this has worked well although there have been a few problems. The team at Carpenders Care are very professional and responsive.

The care my partner receives continues to be very good with his carer being aware of his various needs and limitations of his mobility. Cover is always arranged when needed and with due notice.

The agency was very helpful and well organised. My carer was a lovely woman who felt more like a friend. I was very comfortable with her and she did all she could to be respectful and kind.

The carers were always punctual, they were eager to find out what we wanted and to make suggestions to enhance my mothers quality of life. The carers reported any concerns quickly.

My aunt and uncle had 24 hour care by Carpenders Care for a period of 18 months. My aunt passed away in October 2014, and my uncle was then looked after until his death in December 2015. Living 100 miles away and being their only relative, I had complete peace of mind from the excellent care provided for them both. All their needs were attended to with compassion and professionalism and they were both treated with great dignity in their final illnesses.
