Dear Ron,
Thank you for your kind review and feedback on the Care Professionals – I know they are as fond of you as you are of them!
It has been a pleasure getting to know you over the last four years, firstly as your Care Professional and then as your Field Care Supervisor.
Dear Tina, It has been truly an honour getting to know your father, initially as his Care Professional and then as his Field Care Supervisor. He is such a lovely gentleman, with an infectious sense of humour and made an effort to get to know his Care Professionals as much as they did to him - his visits were as special to them as they were to him.
Thank you for your kind words, Jem – we are pleased you made the change and it is a privilege to support Dad to remain independent at home.
Thank you for the lovely review.
It was an absolute pleasure getting to know your mum and dad and providing them with person-centred care so they could continue to enjoy their home together.
It was incredibly sad when your mum passed away, but it was a privilege to be part of her end-of-life care as well as supporting your dad the best way we could as he prepared himself to say goodbye.
To continue to be a part of your dad’s care is a pleasure; he is a remarkable man and someone who the care professionals enjoy visiting.
Thank you for your kind words, it has been a pleasure assisting you to remain independent at home for so many years!
Thank you for your lovely review. It’s a pleasure supporting your dad and ensuring his needs are met to enable him to continue living in his home.
Thank you for your lovely review, Sharon. It is a pleasure looking after your mum and ensuring her needs are met so she can live at home safe and well. The Care Professionals always enjoy visiting and it’s lovely to see how well they get on with mum.
Hi David, thank you for those kind words - the team find it a joy to visit her.
They feel so very privileged to be part of her life and help her to continue living the life she deserves in her own home!
Thank you for the lovely review.
It is a pleasure looking after your dad, he always has a smile for everyone. It has been really nice to progress from being his CAREGiver to his Field Care Supervisor, meaning I can continue supporting him. The team who visit often tell me how much they enjoy their visits and how cheerful he is.
Thank you for the lovely review. It is a pleasure to care and support your mum so she can continue to stay at home. Our team of Care Professionals very much enjoy visiting, and I can see the bonds they have all built up with your mum. She really is a very special person who brings a smile to everyone who visits.
Hi Jacqui,
Thank you so much for your kind words.
It is such a pleasure to care for your lovely father. He is a charming gentleman whom we all continue to grow even fonder of by the day. Our care professionals enjoy assisting him, going on walks with him, listening to his tales of the past and helping to cheekily pop pieces into whichever jigsaw puzzle he is doing at the time. We look forward to seeing him at every visit and review and hope to continue to support him for many years to come. We wish you and your family a lovely Christmas and a healthy and happy 2023.
Thank you very much for your review. It has been an absolute pleasure to care for your Dad and meeting with yourself for the service reviews, quality assurances and more.
The care professionals always spoke highly of your dad, and through talking with them, I could see how much they enjoyed visiting and caring for him.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I know how much you care for our lovely client. It has been an absolute pleasure to support her over the last 18 months during which time her dedicated team of care professionals and myself have become very fond of her. Our client has come a long way since our first meeting with you both and I'm extremely pleased that she has responded so well to our care. I hope to be able to continue to support her and liaise with yourself for many more years to come. Many thanks.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We work really hard to ensure that we focus on meeting all our client's needs and it's great to hear that we have made a difference to your father!
It is great to hear that we have an excellent name out in the community, this is really due to the amazing work our care professionals and office staff do each day. Thank you again.
Thank you for your lovely review, Simon. I know that the care professional team are incredibly fond of Mum and they have developed a really special relationship with her.
Thank you for your kind words, Julian. It is nice to know that you feel completely reassured that Mum is well looked after as we know how difficult it can be for families that live away. Mum is a joy to know and I know her care professionals are always doing little extras to help her out.
Thank you for such a lovely review, Heather. Mum has a great bond with her team and it is a privilege to see Mum have fun completing the things she loves to still do and see the joy on her face and I know that the Care Professional’s get just as much joy out of all the baking and craft activities! We are so pleased you find the Memory Café rewarding – it is a great opportunity to spend time with loved ones and enjoy each other’s company for a few hours!
Thank you for such a lovely review, it was a pleasure meeting your Nan and having the privilege to support her and the family through her end of life journey. The feedback from the CareGivers who support Nan has been one of the most encouraging and emotional things that I have read and heard. From day one Nan and yourselves were so friendly, welcoming and that they couldn’t wait to go back in to support Nan. The Live in CareGivers who supported Nan also had their hearts melted by her and the warmth that she would give, it really has made them feel special. Nan was a very special individual and it was a privilege getting to know her.
Thank you so much for the lovely review and the kind words D, we know the caregivers have built up a great relationship with you and work hard to meet your needs each day.
Thank you for your kind words. Your caregivers love visiting you and enjoy supporting you to live independently. We hope that the relationship they enjoy with you and the support they give to you will continue for many years to come.

I was one of the first CAREGivers to join the Southampton office in July 2010. I was looking for a part-time job to enable me to integrate back into employment after spending the last ten years raising my three children. I had busied myself within the community as a Parish Councillor and I was also Editor of the local quarterly publication. CAREGiving sounded like the perfect job. I loved visiting the clients I was matched to and I became very attached to them.
The opportunity arose to apply for a full-time position in the office in May 2011. I have partaken in all the office roles over the years as we have grown and even qualified as a trainer along the way. I have worked with some talented people here at Home Instead and learnt so much from them – I am grateful to them all.
My passion is taking all the care enquiries, I listen and empathise with the situation because I totally understand how complex it can be sometimes, reaching a decision about what to do next to allow a loved one to stay safe and happy at home. I cannot describe how amazing it is to meet up after speaking on the phone and offering reassurance whilst knowing in my heart we do what we say we do.
We had a vacancy here for my current position and I was asked by Mike and Greg, our owners, to consider the role. The rest of the team encouraged me to take it and as I had such support I accepted – thank you, team! I am happy I did because I now have more opportunities to grow the business so we can help even more people to stay living well in their own homes.
I would urge anyone to become a CAREGiver if they have any spare time on their hands because I cannot describe the incredible feeling that making a difference gives you. Our training is bespoke and fantastic and looks at the opportunities it has given me!
I feel passionate about the Home Instead ethos and I know that matching CAREGivers to Clients in the ‘Home Instead Way’ is still unique. It is what drew me to work for Home Instead and continues to do so every year that passes!
I joined Home Instead in April 2013 and am responsible for CAREGiver recruitment.
I have over 30 years of experience in recruitment and obtained my qualifications with the REC of which I am a Fellow. I also have an NVQ 4 in Management and a Certificate in Personnel Practice.
Before joining Home Instead I worked for 11 years within the Health and Social Care sector as a Registered Manager. During this time I also managed a Specialist Nurses Division, recruiting Theatre Nurses, Prison Nurses, Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Health Nurses and Learning Disability Nurses.
My experiences working within the healthcare sector have definitely been the most fulfilling. I am passionate about helping older people retain their independence and dignity and remain safely in their own homes. Selecting the right people to join our family of CAREGivers keeps me extremely busy but it is always interesting meeting new people and offering them the opportunity to join us and make a real difference to older people. I watch them grow in confidence and hear about the relationships they have with our clients and it makes me really proud of my role, connecting people and making them feel good.
I also help out at the memory cafe we run every second and fourth Wednesday of the month. This makes a change to being in the office but also gives me a chance to meet people who are coping with dementia and I try to brighten up their day if I can.
I get to meet and greet everyone who comes to our lovely office, so there is really never a dull moment in my working day. I share Home Instead's values and ethos and I know being part of the team, we all work hard to make all the difference we can.
I started my career in childcare, where has looked after and babysat my younger family members, which was a natural fit for my caring and compassionate nature. After a few years in the retail industry, I decided that I really missed the caring industry and was fortunate enough to join Home Instead in 2012. Having never worked in elderly care before this was an exciting step for me.
Over the past 6 years as a CAREgiver at Home Instead, I've loved supporting my clients! My clients have had a range of needs from living with Dementia & Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Palliative Care to companionship visits where I've accompanied them to appointments and shopping trips.
Helping clients to live as independently as possible within their own homes is so important to me and it's very rewarding knowing that you've made a difference in their lives and helped to enable this.
In my role as a Field Care Manager, I am excited to be able to look after our existing clients and also to meet and welcome our new clients to our lovely Home Instead family!
