Nothing is too much trouble and the Carers go that extra mile to ensure Auntie has all she wants.
A big thank you to our two lovely carers.
Hi, Thank you for the great review. I will make sure these wonderful comments are passed on to the rest of the team, and as always if there is ever anything you need please do not hesitate to contact us
Kind regards.
Can't fault the service from the team, right from the manager to the carers. I had them to look after my aunt and my father. They were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Kept me informed all the way. The carers even got my aunt to start eating properly. My father always looks forwards to the visits. Thank you, brilliant.
Thanks
Amar
Every week shopping for items not delivered, ironing and cleaning. Dustbins taken out and brought in. Phoned council when not emptied, stripping and making bed - occasional washing. Also:- Help with computer and mobile phone to book jabs etc. Lifts to the doctors, dentists etc. Catheter care, bathing, changing leg bags. Help when fridge/freezer broke down during lockdown. Making special birthday cards for 21st and 90th. Garden help. Replacing clipboard hinges and refitting towel rails. Sorting out grouting in bathroom, personal care - hair and feet. Apologies this is not what you asked for but cannot do justice to amazing carers in just one month.
Many thanks for the great feedback. I will be sure to pass this on to the rest of the team. Glad we are able to meet the highest level of service for our clients. As always if there is anything else you need please contact us. Thank you.
Our family now has almost seven years experience working with Home Instead Nottingham, initially providing extensive personal care support for my father who was living with Alzheimer's and more recently helping my mother, living alone in her nineties, with medications, meals and general household tasks. The care professionals are highly-trained, friendly and respectful of every individual and their needs. Above all, they are utterly reliable. The management and office teams are incredibly helpful and efficient and only too happy to help at any time. I and the rest of the family live quite some distance away and we could not have wished for better support in ensuring mum's wellbeing. I feel very comfortable in recommending Home Instead Nottingham to anyone seeking this type of service.
Kind Regards.
Dad’s Alzheimers is now making his and Mum’s lives more and more challenging, and Mum’s struggling to cope with it all with minimal help. They were both very resistant to ‘resorting’ to paid carers. Nevertheless, I have been remarkably pleased at their reaction to the support being provided by Home Instead. Staff are carefully befriending our parents and listening and acting on their preferences and needs, making it feel informal and actually - fun! I believe that even after these first few visits I can see a change in both my parents - Dad is now able to enjoy visiting the local shops and having a coffee with the carer, Mum can have some time to herself knowing that he is happy and safe and they both benefit. The carer is also willing to help with some household chores, and my parents are enjoying having someone to chat to. I am very impressed with the portal, and I can catch up with what happened at each visit which is reassuring. I highly recommend Home Instead and their staff.
Thank you for your kind words and great review. I am glad to see we have made a big difference to both your father and mother. I will pass on your feedback to our very hard working team who will be thrilled with your kind words.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone looking for care. My Mum received nearly a year of excellent support, care and friendship from the Caregivers who visited her on a daily basis. It is only now that Mum has gone into permanent residential care due to her declining medical health, that the service has ceased. I would recommend Home Instead Nottingham 100% - their standard of care and attention is second to none. In fact the ladies who cared for Mum became her 'friends' and she enjoyed their visits. The online update of visits is absolutely brilliant - the fact that I could login to see what the Caregiver had written etc. each day was definitely very useful. The office would telephone me if there were any concerns and at all times, everything was actioned quickly and efficiently - leaving me with a feeling of trust, knowing that Mum was being looked after. I would recommend them without a shadow of doubt.
Many thanks for your great review, I am glad we were able to make a difference to your mum and will pass on the fantastic feedback to our Care Professionals and Office team. I hope your mum is keeping well.
If we can be of any assitance at all in the future please do not hesitate to contact us
Kind regards.
As my Mum approached her 90th birthday, it became increasingly apparent that she required support from someone other than myself. Making that initial enquiry was fraught with anxiety. If you have never been in that position before, it is always someone else's Mum that may need support; not yours! However, the day after I had filled out the enquiry form, the Care Manager contacted me and from that day back in April, everything has changed for the better and Mum has received seven months of consistent support from fabulous Caregivers. The support Mum receives is tailored to her requirements and can be changed at any time in accordance with any changing needs. Communication with Caregivers, Management and office staff is very friendly and professional. Mum and I both feel extremely satisfied with the service provided. The reassurance offered to families cannot be underestimated. I would 100% recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for care in the home for a loved one in their family.
As always the team is here to support you whenever you need.
Thank you.
I was totally satisfied with the service provided.
Home Instead provides care for my partner. He is confined to bed with a severe physical disability. He has unusual and complex needs, such as a need to be very quiet and limit conversation. The carers provide meals, personal care and domestic cleaning. They have all been excellent. Friendly and efficient, and also quiet and gentle. They have been diligent to learn and understand how my partner prefers procedures to be done, which makes a huge difference to his health and general wellbeing. The carers have always arrived on time. Indeed, they often stay a few minutes overtime - I have to tell them to go home! They've never missed a slot. Indeed, when they were a carer short one Saturday, the manager himself came out. We were very impressed - not many managers of a large care company would do that! All admin has also been handled diligently and accurately - the initial assessment, drawing up a care plan, the contract, scheduling, care reviews, billing, etc. A great company.
Thank you for your lovely words. It is a pleasure to support you both and I look forward to this continuing.
Right from the word go I was confident Home Instead would provide the care my mum required. The Nottingham branch manager met with Mum and me to go through everything required to help Mum stay in her own home. With the care in place, the line of communication remains excellent, there’s a detailed message you can access following every visit. I can definitely recommend the manager and her team at Home Instead, the lovely caregiver’s visits become something your loved one will look forward to.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am glad we were able to help your mum and I know the CAREGivers enjoyed their visits with her.
Home Instead has provided excellent care for my mother over the last 5 and a half years. The caregivers have been fantastic and often go above and beyond to support my mum. As mum’s care needs have increased over the years from companionship and homecare through to full personal care the team have adapted and supported her. There has always been very good communication between the office and myself if things need changing and new caregivers were introduced and shown the ropes by existing caregivers. There is no doubt without their support my mum would not have managed to live in her own home for as long as she did.
Many thanks for your kind words. We all got to know your mother well and we will miss her but I am glad that we could help her to stay at home for as long as possible. Our best wishes to you and your family.
All of the staff in the office are friendly and approachable which I think is a very important factor when choosing a care provider.
The caregivers who have visited my mother-in-law have all been absolutely wonderful - kind, caring and understanding. They have exceeded all of my expectations of home care and I will miss my contact with them now that my mother-in-law has gone into residential care.
Home Instead provide an excellent service and I cannot praise them enough.
Home Instead are amazing. The caregivers are kind and caring and treat Mum with respect and understanding. The team are easy to work with and a joy to be around, in a short time, they’ve become an invaluable and integral part of our caring team, the rapport they’ve built with us, the family and with Mum is outstanding and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who needs care in their own home.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. Our CAREGivers work hard to ensure that all their clients are given the best possible care and I am pleased to hear how well this is working for you and your family.
Dad's caregivers, over this period, were excellent. They became part of our family. They provided me with peace of mind as I work full-time. Each caregiver was carefully matched to Dad and his interests as initially, they provided companionship. Later as time went by Dad needed more help with personal care, housekeeping and meals which his caregivers provided. Dad always had regular caregivers who he developed a close bond with. If a new caregiver was introduced they worked with his usual caregiver and got to know Dad and his routine. Via the digital portal, I could access what Dad's day had been like and what the caregivers had done when with him. Their care, kindness and excellent communication was second to none. They are the best!! Thank you.
Many thanks for your kind words, Emma. It was a pleasure supporting your Dad over the past 6 years and I know we will all miss him. As I always say; we are lucky to have such a fantastic and dedicated team. Take good care. Primo.
Starting with two long visits, as needs increased, we were able to add more and change times. Having a case handler gave a great point of contact. The schedulers try hard to keep to the same Caregivers and when new ladies joined our team they were introduced first.
If, rarely, a last minute change happened we were kept informed and we knew we could ring at any time when we had problems our end. The office team are warm, caring, able to help me at times of stress as there was always someone available to discuss options. The Caregivers were a dedicated, capable and truly caring team. Each found ways to engage with her, adding to her well-being. She was very happy when with them. Without 15 months of such warm, exceptional care she couldn’t have stayed home so long. Highly recommended.
Many thanks for taking the time to submit a review. I am so pleased we were able to help keep your loved one at home for as long as we did. It is good to hear we were able to support you all on your journey and wish you all the best for the future.
I cannot praise Home Instead (Nottingham) enough for the care they gave to my mother during the last year. In her late eighties and with severe heart problems, she finally admitted to needing some help but was very nervous about receiving it. She was soon converted, the caregivers were gentle, considerate and empathetic. They were always good about understanding exactly what she needed. They also gave her companionship and conversation. I must also mention the admin staff who were always there to provide advice and support if it was needed and who were so helpful when the time came for my mother to move to residential care.
My mom was cared for by the Home Instead team for about 6 months before she was moved into a dementia care home. Their service was absolutely wonderful. The carers made my mom feel at ease, they were friendly and on time. Communication with the admin team was likewise very professional. I would unreservedly recommend Home Instead.
They were always punctual, and the office ensured that we always knew which caregiver was going to attend. The system of one existing caregiver always introducing any new member of the team ensured continuity and gave the security of knowing that we would never be surprised by a stranger arriving.
When my mother became ill, the caregivers were caring and reassuring and went above and beyond the call of duty to support both of us.
Members of staff in the office were always helpful and professional.
The carers were supported by an excellent back-office staff, who kept the whole family well informed at all times and supported proactively and sensitively when his condition caused moments of crisis.
Overall, a very high-quality service.
Many thanks for taking the time to submit a review. I am so glad we were able to help your Dad and give your Mum a bit of rest. We know how difficult it is for family to manage all the challenges that come with a loved one developing Dementia but we know also that there are ways to mitigate the burden. Thanks for trusting us with your Dad's care and our best to you and family.
Home Instead has provided a genuinely life-changing service for my mum, enabling her to continue living at home and providing peace of mind for the wider family. The caregivers are unfailingly cheerful, kind, helpful and patient. They and the manager have really taken the time to understand my mum’s character and her needs, enabling the service to be perfectly tailored to suit her situation. The caregivers provide companionship and help around the home, in a gentle and respectful manner. Within a very short period of starting the service, my mum was noticeably happier and calmer. The service is flexible and professional, and everybody is a pleasure to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead Nottingham.
