You treated her as an individual, taking notice of the things that gave her pleasure and thought about how you could use these to ensure she was happy and content.
Thank you so much from both of us.
It was a comfort to know that regular support and checks would be made when I could not provide these myself. Home Instead worked with me - never against - to help support my relative at a time when she was vulnerable and not always making the best decisions for herself.
Home Instead provided a flexible and very reliable service caring for my mother. They kept a professional record of their visits and provided companionship, friendship and care to a very high standard. Thank you to all of you.
Home Instead staff were clear and professional in drawing up our contract. The caregivers were very helpful and efficient in all that they did for my Mum and, most importantly, they were kind, respectful and cheerful. They brightened her day. I felt very confident about her care, which gave me peace of mind.
I have been absolutely delighted with all aspects of the service provided, including;
- the initial response from the Director was professional and inspired confidence. His management is excellent and he cares about clients and his staff.
- the Schedulers and Supervisors were very quick to respond to any changing needs and resolved any issues immediately, giving me peace of mind.
- the Caregivers, themselves, were of superb quality - intelligent, kind and a pleasure to work with. I trusted them.
My Mother was reluctant to have Caregivers, initially, but needed them, for safeguarding, but they won her trust and she enjoyed being with them. They would assess her needs and mood on arrival and accordingly take her out, or sit with her, chatting or listening to music.
If I needed a care agency again, I would only contact Home Instead.
Many thanks for you review and feedback and thank you also for trusting us with your mother's care. I know it was challenging at times but I know also that our CAREGivers enjoyed being with her. My best wishes.
Everyone involved in the provision of care was polite, courteous and approachable, willing to discuss options and changes as needed. All were friendly and treated everyone involved with respect and consideration and we would recommend to anyone needing care at home.
The care was very professional when caring for our Uncle. Always on time and rang if they were running late.
My Aunty has now gone into a care home on a full time basis. She was given excellent care with Home Instead. All the staff were wonderful. Communication was excellent. They were always on time. She was very grateful for everything that they did and I had the knowledge that she was very well looked after. I would recommend your services to anyone who needed care.
Totally happy with every aspect of the care. No complaints, all very helpful and pleasant.
Many thanks for your review. We will make sure the relevant CAREGivers are made aware as they are the ones that deserve all the praise. Thanks again.
The carers assigned to my aunt were very good and punctual. My only issue was that, on occasion, my aunt who had dementia and was registered blind, would tell the carers she had washed/showered, cleaned teeth etc., but she hadn't because she could not see to do so. Therefore, she often went without. I would prefer carers to check for evidence of water in bath/sink before accepting my aunt's word, wet sponge/toothbrush etc.
As you are aware, our CAREGivers fill in a log with details of the activities carried out during a visit. I have reviewed all the logs for the 2 and a half weeks we provided support to your aunt and they confirm that a wash or shower was carried out by the...
This worked well and Mum soon put on weight and came to enjoy the company too. Having someone call every day was a great relief to me.
Many thanks for your kind review, Julie. The CAREGivers really enjoyed visiting your mother and I’m glad the visits made a difference to her. It was a pleasure to meet you both. I trust your mother has settled into her new home. Best wishes.
They looked after her very well and she looked forward to their arrival.
They also told me how she had been when I arrived home and all were very pleasant people.
From the very first visit to meet my mum and assess her needs, we were very pleased. When her CareGivers started, the match to my mum was excellent and we felt happy that someone was there to help. The companionship visits where mum was taken out were much appreciated - hot chocolate and cake always put a smile on her face! When faced with a situation that required a bit extra, the CareGivers were always able to rise to the occasion and more than often went beyond our expectations. If it had not been for a deterioration in my mum's Alzheimer's we would still be using the service. Have nothing but praise for all involved and would highly recommend for anybody looking for home care assistance.
Thank you for taking the time to review our service. We are very lucky to have such a fantastic team of caregivers supporting our clients. It is a privilege to know we were able to assist your mum to remain at home.
Right from the start when my partner was able to leave his bed on occasions, the entire team relieved all the pressure on my shoulders. The management, staff and carers were always obliging and looked after my partner with total dedication. As his condition worsened they were never less than professional. I cannot recommend the company highly enough. I will miss the staff now he is no longer there.
Home Instead carers are all very punctual in arrival time which is good. The only problem we had was when one was off suddenly, the office staff did not let us know who was coming, so when you went to the door you got the first shock of the wrong person - it's important to know in advance when dealing with a dementia patient as you can prepare them for the change. The carers were all very pleasant, cheerful and gentle when doing personal care. They became like friends during the 18 months we were with them but due to management changing the rules of how many hours a week we had to have, we sadly were given no choice but to find alternative care facilities. This was a sad and very upsetting time for my mum as well as other members of the family. We wouldn't have left as we were satisfied with the service, apart from the office side which would let the side down a bit by not updating new shifts for the carers in the file on time. But the carers themselves were always so good to my mum and other family members. I would recommend Home Instead to people who would require more than 3 visits a week. We would use them again if circumstances changed.
Relying on someone else to take care of a loved one is not an easy thing. It all boils down to the chemistry between the service user and the CAREgiver.
During October, my friend for whom I have Power of Attorney began deteriorating mentally. This required a great deal of empathy and understanding on behalf of the CAREgiver. These circumstances brought out the best of the entire care team at Home Instead. Schedulers, Liaison and Administrative staff were all in some way "touched" by the change of circumstances of my friend.
To say I am impressed with Home Instead Nottingham would be the start of the praise I have for them. I am extremely grateful to the entire team for their care, compassion, understanding and sincere sense of "it being personal" to them too.
Anyone with a need to have a loved one cared for professionally at home should ensure that they have considered the Home Instead Nottingham team.
Home Instead provided helpful and understanding arrangers in their office plus reliable, on-time, flexible carers on site.
My husband and I have used your care (me after a hip replacement) then my husband for 15 months and have been very satisfied with the care.
The carers were always cheerful and friendly and we looked forward to their visits.
This care provider offers a high-quality service through a team of highly professional and very caring staff. The caregivers are reliable and friendly and are extremely sensitive and kind to the needs of the end user.
We are very thankful for your feedback and glad to know we were able to help your father.
The organisation made every effort to identify appropriate staff to support my brother and provided excellent staff continuity so that he got to know his carers very well. The staff were totally reliable and always turned up. They undertook a variety of activities for and with my brother and were always considerate and supportive without intruding or controlling. The administration was efficient and always responded quickly to queries or requests. I don't believe we could have found a better organisation to care for my brother!
