Since my mum's care was taken over by HRM I can honestly state we are delighted with the level of service provided by all of the staff at HRM. They are all very professional, friendly, and willing to assist in any way they can. 10 out of 10 to all the girls.

I am happy with the service my father is receiving. The staff are pleasant and friendly. I do find some staff members go above and beyond, making life so much easier for myself and my dad. They treat him with respect and show compassion. I have not rated excellent as some carers are placed with not being before and then might not be back again. But we are happy.

The care and support provided to my dad have been exceptional. Having carers visit my dad 4 times a day has given me peace of mind that he is being looked after and less of a danger to himself. Having the app is really useful to be able to read the reports documented on my dad of the care that he is receiving. My dad has also commented that his carers are very kind and considerate to his needs and always go out of their way to help him in any way they can.

Can’t say a bad word about any of the staff calling to aid me as they are always very friendly and starting to feel more like family as settled into the same staff calling. Further, I am profoundly deaf and for any cancellations or issues I always use email and the staff carry this out with a friendly reply with confirmation and asking how I am and passes on my thanks and praise to the team.

Would not be in a position to recommend the service as this is decided via social work. The service provided initially has deteriorated with staff shortages and amendments to allocated times for care visits.

Unfortunately, staff shortages and amendments to allocated times for care visits are a sectoral wide issue in the present climate. HRM have ensured that every service user has received their visits throughout this particularly difficult time.
My mum has been receiving care from HRM for 7 years now and the care and service she gets is exemplary. One carer has been my mum's main carer over the last 7 years and continuously goes above and beyond to assist my mum's needs. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

He is set in his ways so reluctantly accepted a Homecare visit once a day and now looks forward to seeing them.
Everyone is really cheery and helpful.

The carers who come in to my mum are fantastic, caring, compassionate and professional. They communicate well and mum clearly enjoys the chat as well as being aided to be as independent as possible. The manager however lets this service down, as always. Lack of communication, organisation and planning. Would not choose the company but would do so for the carers.
I am very happy at the care my son receives and he is happy with them. They make sure he is okay and talk to him about what they are doing.

At first the pattern of support took time to settle. The staff care workers are friendly, helpful and flexible in adapting to limitations of our house. They have built a bond of trust with my wife and myself and are sensitive to our situation.

All the carers are focused on delivering person-centred care, ensuring all mum's needs are met and anticipated. Mum says they are all angels!

I am happy with the service provided. The only comment I can make is when carers are called to an emergency, there should be someone to cover their round while away. This happened to my mother last week, she didn't receive any care in the morning. She called the office but as she is quite deaf she didn't understand what was being said, hopefully, this won't happen again. Her carers came at lunchtime to explain and apologize for not coming in the morning. That's my only complaint.
HRM can only apologize for your mother not receiving a service on that particular morning. We will ensure that this never happens again. We appreciate your feedback and are addressing your concerns with regard to emergency cover.
Have received great service from all the carers looking after my mum. Very caring and tolerant. Office staff are also great I’ve emailed a few times about some concerns about my mum and I have had immediate response with solution or suggestions. I’ve also noticed that recently there is more continuity of carers which is great because they get to know my mum better and that is helpful.

Lynn is the CEO of HRM Homecare Services.
Lynn founded HRM Homecare Services in 1994. Lynn’s focus has always been her children, and as such, she named the company after them (HRM - Heather, Russell & Mhairi). Supporting others was the kernel for the creation of the business in 1994, and an ethos of compassionate care and support remains the principal driver of all aspects of HRM’s service delivery today.
