The service we get is excellent and provides much needed security for my aunt and her family, particularly as we don't live in the immediate area.
Her regular carer is particularly supportive and Dorothy has formed a strong bond with her.
Communication is good with any changes to care services notified in advance.
We are very happy with the service provided.
Delighted to read you see the service as "excellent" with good communication, thanks!
Home Instead been providing Carers for my Dad for 8 months now. Dad has Dementia and unfortunately still does not know the regular Carers who have all been very professional and kind.
helpful ideas. Always get updates and information if any changes to the regular pattern which I appreciate.
I'm glad you're so pleased with our care, the support and helpful ideas we offer you and with our communication. We invest more than most into our office teams to allow them to provide these important extras which has to be reflected in our rates. I'm not sure if this is what lies behind your lower...
Excellent all round service. Extremely kind and thoughtful carer who is always ready to go the extra mile. As well as supporting with essential domestic tasks and assisting with personal care, her friendly manner makes each visit something to look forward to. She has been a huge support to the whole family.
"Excellent all round service" ... "always ready to go the extra mile" ... " a huge support to the whole family". Wow! You're making us blush.
Lovely carers who can help with so many things.
Mum is recently diagnosed with dementia and needs support and help at home and her helper has been great at gaining mums confidence and encouraging her to keep on top of things.
First your Aunt and now your Mum. Thanks for the trust you have shown in Home Instead, your lovely comments and 5 Star review.
My mother has been using Home Instead for a number of years now. They were initially employed by her husband around five years ago so that she could have a companion to go out shopping etc. Unfortunately, her husband passed away about a year later and her health deteriorated significantly. She has had many hospital stays over the last four years and throughout this period the assistance provided by her carer/companion has been first class. Her companion takes her out, provides great help throughout her flat and keeps her mentally stimulated. It's a great relief to know that she is in such good hands, of someone that genuinely cares. My only gripe (and I appreciate that Home Instead is a business) is that you have to give two weeks;' notice when you don't think you will need the services of a carer/companion. For example, when my Mother was taken into hospital suddenly and therefore didn't require her companion for a while but is still charged for the next 2 weeks.
Thanks for your feedback and explaining how well the service is working for your parents. I do understand your point about our cancellation policy. The reason we do this is that our care professionals commit to visiting particular clients and their rotas which means we're not able to find them...
Thank you
Thanks so much! 5 Stars for 5 Years supporting your aunt, that's lovely to hear!
The caregivers from Home Instead chat to my Dad, stimulate him mentally, and just by being there help him to be more active and alert. They also help with housework, such as laundry, which takes a load off my shoulders. On occasion, the caregivers have taken Dad to routine appointments outside the house when I have been unable to attend.
Before using Home Instead, I found that every time I visited Dad I would have to spend much of the time running around doing domestic tasks. Now, I feel that the time I spend with Dad is much higher quality, becuase I am consistently paying attention to him rather than feeding the washing machine / washing dishes etc.
Each caregiver is different, but they all manage to find common points of interest with Dad.
Thanks for your detailed feedback and 5 Star review. To read the time you spend with Dad is "much high quality" now is just wonderful.
Excellent care provided - invaluable support and Dad looks forward to seeing his carers every day. Everyone very friendly and extremely flexible in what they can do for Dad. They have a built a great rapport.
Fantastic! So glad everything is going so well and that Dad looks forward to his visits every day.
There have been some staffing difficulties initially however, in a flash these were overcome and tge renaining staff are just fabulous. Honest, reliable, caring, supporting my parents, communication was brilliant on a shift basis, all the way to the Highlands on a daily vases allowing me to continue to eirk in thus area kniwingvtgat buth mum n dad are safe, secure, cared for fed propertly as per they're wishes, all medications offered at the appropriate time and social interactions spectacular.
Thanks for your feedback, where things aren't right from the get go we prioritise fixing them asap so I'm delighted to hear we did that for you and that everything seems to be so well now.
My husband and I have been using Home Instead for two years, and as my star rating suggests have little complaint about anything. We especially appreciate their flexibility, and the quality of care provided has transformed our lives.
To hear the quality of our care has transformed your lives is just amazing, thank you!
Communication with the office is generally excellent.
Thanks for your feedback. What we do isn't always easy. As you say it's important we keep calm, show understanding and make things better.
Caregiver, highly skilled in connecting to client and meeting care needs, also very dependable. Office staff are skilled caregivers and professional. While at the upper end of the cost scale, the quality of care currently being provided delivers value.
Thanks so much for your 5 Star Review and lovely feedback.
Very impressed with the quality of care and service provided by your staff. The care worker who looks after my Mum and Dad is brilliant with them, understanding their needs, thinking ahead, organizing transport to their appointments and generally making my life easier!
We're delighted to hear how impressed you are with the quality of our care and support and that it's making your life easier. Thanks for your feedback..
This experience involved two carers, allowing respite relief for my husband, by making visits am or pm when he was away, over five days. Both carers were very reliable, friendly and approachable, flexible and willing to help. They tackled a variety of ad hoc tasks, around and outside our home, doing their very best to support me.
Thank you so much for your 5 Star review. We're delighted everything went so well. Providing respite to families is an important part of our service.
My mother has been enabled to continue to live in her flat with support, three days per week, from the carers at Home Instead. The management is excellent and I am kept informed of any last-minute changes due to carers' ill health, or transport issues etc. My mother is fairly stubborn and has lived completely independently until a few years ago when a combination of physical health deterioration and poor short-term memory meant I needed to find additional care to augment what she already has. I have been extremely pleased with the care provided. I have met a number of the caregivers during my visits to Edinburgh and they all have seemed very professional and sympathetic. On a few occasions they have raised concerns about my mother and these have always been passed on to me very rapidly. I recommend Home Instead (Edinburgh).
Thank you for saying how pleased you are with our service, the care provided and for recommending us!
Dad receives twice-weekly visits and provides companionship and help with shopping and trips. Our carer is very helpful and provides me with regular updates on how Dad is keeping. At all times she is professional and courteous to Dad and myself. I would definitely recommend Home Instead if you are seeking support for an elderly relative.
Thanks for the great feedback and for recommending us!
Mum can be a challenge to get out of bed never mind the house but a particular member of staff and the team have been brilliant with her. And they achieve the impossible. Mum regularly has outings and fun and someone else to talk to. We get emails and photos to tell us what they've been up to and I know Mum enjoys her time with the particular member of staff, even if she can't remember fully due to Alzheimer's.
Fantastic - so pleased to hear we've been able to achieve the impossible! Seriously - it sounds like the match we've been able to make and the trust that's built from that is paying off with Mum enjoying her outings.
I have been very impressed with your service. Excellent, lovely support, you couldn't have matched me better. 10/10
We're delighted to read your feedback and hear we managed to get such a good match for you, thanks for your feedback!
I would have no hesitation in recommending this service to others.
Thank you so much for your kind words and 5 star review, it's a great start to the week for us to read this!
I couldn't ask for more sympathetic treatment by all the staff. My two main carers are like family now, and help my wife to enjoy life.
We're so pleased to hear how well the relationship with your carers is working, thank you!
