I couldn't ask for more sympathetic treatment by all the staff. My two main carers are like family now, and help my wife to enjoy life.
We're so pleased to hear how well the relationship with your carers is working, thank you!
My dad has Alzheimer's and the daily visit by the carers provides invaluable additional support and companionship. Home Instead are very proactive in calling me with any concerns and questions the carers have. The overall support provided is excellent.
Thank you so much - we're so pleased to hear the support we're providing is working so well
I would just like to convey our thanks for the ongoing terrific care that is provided by one carer at Home Instead who looks after our mother three days a week. Our Mother has vascular Dementia with Alzheimer's. The carer has a really 'can do' attitude and has got the perfect balance of care, companionship, assertiveness and reliability and is a real asset to the company.
"The perfect balance of care, companionship, assertiveness and reliability" - your Mum's carers sure if "is a real asset to the company". Thanks for your feedback!
In the past 4 years, the personal assistant has forged an invaluable relationship with my brother who trusts and likes him very much (although he does question his football affiliations!) and he really enjoys their time together. There is no doubt that Home Instead did well when matching the 2 of them.
Without the carer, my brother would never leave his Nursing Home and he wouldn't have developed other friendly relationships in the pub where they go twice a week for coffee. Going out with the personal assistant allows him to feel 'normal'.
Given my brother's worsening dementia I am sure that the personal assistant provides a great deal of reassurance for him and can reinforce aspects of his life that he repeatedly forgets e.g. appointments, personal history, family relationships etc.
If there comes a time when my brother can no longer afford Home Instead's input it will be severely detrimental to his quality of life.
We're so pleased to hear how good a match we've been able to make and the difference it has made to your brother's quality of life over the years! Thanks for your review.
Having the Home Instead carer for 2 hours a week took away some of the 24/7 mental strain and allowed me a very welcome respite.
Our respite care services are a great way to share the care, giving family members an important break, whether a few hours a day or week. Pleased to hear it's working so well for you!
Staff all very professional and caring. Putting cover in place for holiday leave. Get a daily update which is helpful. Personal touch which helps to build good relationships. My mum is very happy with her new carer despite initial reluctance.
Thanks so much for your feedback. To begin with, it's not uncommon for people to have some reservations about receiving care, so it's lovely to hear that Mum is very happy now.
I have been hugely impressed with the team of carers and also the managers and owners. I cannot rate them highly enough.
Amazing! Thanks for all your feedback and for saying you can't rate us highly enough. It means a lot to us!
What is important to me is that the carer manages to get my husband to change into gardening clothes and back again after getting him to do some work in the garden and still keep him in a good mood. I take my hat off to her!
Care and respite care comes in all shapes and sizes. For you and your husband, enjoying some gardening - thanks for your feedback.
We have been using Home Instead for our mum for four years now and have been very happy with the care she has received. Initially she was reluctant to receive any help other than with housework. Home Instead were very understanding about this and explained that they always prioritise what the client needs and is ready to accept. My mum is now 90 and still living at home thanks largely to Home Instead's flexible approach to 'care', their high standard of staff and the emphasis they put on continuity of care. My mum now has a team of 4 staff who visit so she had some support every day. When staff are on holiday or off sick the office tries hard to provide cover from someone who knows my mum, often from her team. Staff keep my mum's house clean, do her food shopping, prepare simple meals, help her with any personal tasks as and when needed and provided companionship. This provides all of her family with great reassurance. They are also excellent at informing us if there are any concerns.
Thanks so much for your detailed feedback, it's great to hear our flexible approach is helping Mum to continue to live well at home.
Excellent.
Thanks for rating us excellent, we take great pride in receiving reviews like this!
Excellent caring staff who take time to get to know what is required. Interested in what my parents like and need. Recommend extremely highly.
Thanks for your fantastic feedback, taking time to get to know people before the service starts and over time really matters to us. So it's great to hear it's working!
His carer visits twice a week and is very reliable and conscientious. He engages my brother in lots of chat which is great as my brother lives alone and only has a small circle of chums. The carer encourages him to tidy his home, hoover and clean the kitchen. It used to look like a bomb site but is now much cleaner and tidier since his carer supported him. (The carer does a lot of tidying himself too.)
My brother's verbal skills and mental health have also improved immeasurably since we started with Home Instead. They are extremely kind and thoughtful. Non-judgemental and respectful.
We value the service hugely and wouldn't be without it! Thank you so much Home Instead!
Thanks for your wonderful feedback - to read your brother's verbal skills and mental health have improved immeasurably is just fantastic!
The team are fun, compassionate, friendly, and professional and has become part of the family.
Mum looks forward to her fun-filled daily visits, which allow her to enjoy her days rather than feeling isolated.
Shopping trips, baking, nail painting and even balloon tennis are some of the daily activities that now fill her days.
It has allowed the family peace of mind knowing that she is being well cared for, by people that we trust.
To hear we're bringing fun and joy to your mum's days is just fabulous, must try balloon tennis sometime soon myself!
We're all very pleased with the carer. The choice of carer couldn't have been better: she is able to provide just the kind of companionship, help, and support needed at this moment. The service is top notch.
Top notch, Wow! Thanks so much for your feedback, we're especially pleased to read the choice of carer couldn't have been better!
I am extremely happy with my dad’s carer’s twice-weekly visits. I think Dad really appreciates the time she spends chatting and doing crosswords with him. He does look forward to her visits. She is also helpful in taking him to various appointments.
Thanks, it's lovely to know how happy you are with our service and how much your dad appreciates the visits!
The carer is brilliant with Dad, and he always seems happier when she’s visited.
Lovely! It makes us happy knowing our visits make your dad happy.
Very pleased with the service provided.
Thanks for your feedback; we're delighted to hear you are very happy with the service.
Management constantly changing carer rotas is upsetting. I realise this can be difficult since the carer broke her arm - she's much missed.
Thanks for your feedback; we're sorry for the changes necessitated by the regular caregiver breaking her arm.
My carer who visits is fantastic, need one say more.
Thanks so much for your fantastic five star review and feedback!
Have used Home Instead for the past few years. We have a fabulous carer who comes to Mum and is now part of the family. Although expensive, the care is brilliant and allows me time off. Many thanks.
We're delighted to hear how happy you are and that our caregiver has become part of the family. Thanks for your feedback!
