I cannot praise Home Instead enough really. They have been attentive to our requirements at every stage and constantly check that their service supplies what we need. Our main carer has been excellent not only keeping my wife company when I am out but also engaging her in activity during the day. She
genuinely looks forward to the carer's visit which makes the whole experience a lot easier for us all. I was very reluctant to take that leap of using a carer but am now very grateful that I did.

The team which looks after my neighbour is absolutely superb. They all really care about her. Each member is conscientious, efficient, reliable, cheerful and help her to remain happy. They have also lifted a huge weight from my shoulders. It is a huge relief knowing that there is such a dedicated team,
and the suggestions made by each member speak of real care and expertise. My neighbour really looks forward to their visits each day. They have added such a positive dimension to her life. I am very impressed by the attention to detail shown by the office. Any concerns are raised quickly and everything is so well coordinated. I cannot speak too highly of Home Instead (Bath).

I have been really impressed with Home Instead Bath for both their care and also the efficiency and speed of their contact with us. Home Instead has provided excellent and consistent care for both of my parents, who are in their nineties, over the last few months, enabling them to stay longer in their
own home. All the carers have been reliable, kind and extremely helpful. They have provided my parents with personal care and housekeeping and have always been both supportive and professional.
In particular, the website where we can read notes on the visits as soon as they have been completed has enabled us to know exactly how the visit has gone and to keep up with the situation. Also, their highlighting of any problems was immediately reported to us so that we were able to deal with any ongoing problems and the ability to contact the carers directly through my parent's individual care folders.

My aunt had been living independently, at a considerable distance from the rest of the family. Initially concerned that she was not taking her medications correctly, we wanted someone to call in to check that she had taken them and provide companionship and lunch. We chose Home instead on a recommendation
from a friend.
Home Instead caregivers visited her over a period of more than five years until she recently (Nov 2023) decided to move into residential care. Over the five years, as her needs changed, the visits were gradually increased from once each weekday up to twice every day.
The real plus points for Home Instead were:
A reliable service, caregivers properly introduced and working to a schedule, ability of caregivers to take her out (shopping, sightseeing), giving us feedback on any concerns, an accessible record after each visit and regular meetings at my aunt's for a review.
This review was invaluable for seeing how my aunt felt, what she liked, what could be improved and so on.

I have been involved with Home Instead (Bath and West Wilshire) along with my late wife for almost 11 years. During this time I have developed a whole circle of new friends. The carers are well-trained and very helpful. The office staff are also very helpful and go the extra mile to be helpful with
both help and advice.

My very elderly father has been receiving care from Home Instead in Bath for the last two years. He has visits twice a week for help with cleaning and cooking but no personal care is needed. The ladies are extremely kind and caring, helpful and punctual. They take a great interest in dad and treat him
very respectfully. We are delighted with Home Instead.

I have used Home Instead for several years to provide respite and personal care for my wife who has Alzheimer's. They are also able to provide 'ad hoc' respite care when needed to enable me to see family or keep an appointment. I am very pleased with the service they provide.

The care I receive from all of my carers allows me to live independently at home but also has given me a group of new friends. Their care is efficient but also they treat me with dignity, listening to me and giving help when needed.

I initially received two recommendations for Home Instead, one from an ex-employee friend and one from a relative. My wife is suffering from severe stage Alzheimer's and being her full-time carer I needed a couple of hours a week respite, mainly to attend my own appointments. I had previously had difficulty
getting this help, and during the two months I have been using Home Instead they have made a real difference.
The manager has been extremely helpful and visited us personally on several occasions and give advice and guidance. She carefully selected a most suitable carer who my wife loves and who she already sees as her friend. I initially worried that my wife would rebel against being left with someone without me but she now looks forward to her weekly afternoon with her friend. From feeling very alone and isolated Home Instead have given me somewhere to turn to and I know that as things get more difficult they will help me in other ways when we need it. It is totally without reservation that i recommend Home Instead to anyone in a similar position to us.

With the current climate being what it is. I was overwhelmed with the care and concern shown to my mother when she has a bad turn and required extra care. I'm so happy that Home Instead (Bath) were able to sort extra cover. It has out the whole family at ease knowing professionals are on the case.

I have found my carers to be cheerful, caring, extremely helpful and obliging. Initially, the carers were for my husband who died on the 14th of January. They treated him with much kindness and care.

My mum (and my siblings and me) were absolutely satisfied with the care and support received from Home Instead. From the initial contact right through to meeting the carers, we were delivered a professional, thorough and thoughtful service. They really went the extra mile to try and meet our needs.
The carers were very well-matched with Mum, she enjoyed their visits and struck up a real friendship with them. We feel this friendship was reciprocated and that the carers truly cared for Mum. As a family, this gave us confidence and security very much needed when a family member becomes vulnerable and home alone.
Communication worked well and a review very early on ensured things were working well.

Constantly impressed with the personalised and caring service my dad receives and with the excellent levels of communication, so although my brother and I both live a long way from Dad we are kept up to date with things that are issues for him so that we can respond and improve his day to day life.
I have just been to stay with Dad and found a clean and well-kept house, and a happy and well-fed Dad, both thanks to the lovely carers he has visiting him every day! Dealing with company bureaucracy can be so tiring but this is never the case with Home Instead, one call, phone is answered by a friendly person (often someone we already know) and the request dealt with speedily, efficiently and with Dad's best interests at heart. We would recommend the service with no reservations.

Jade has worked in the Healthcare industry for nine years and has her Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care. She joined Home Instead in January 2024 as a Scheduler responsible for scheduling all the visits to the clients and allocating work to our Care Professionals.


Jade has since progressed into a new role of Field Care Supervisor, getting out into the community and meeting our clients and Care Professionals to ensure the right support is in place to keep our clients safe in their own homes.

Chantel is a naturally caring person and always wants to help people.


Before Home Instead, Chantel worked as part of a team at the local retirement village, before moving into a caring role in a residential setting. Her Home Instead journey started in January 2020, initially as a Scheduler carrying out the important role of ensuring all our clients receive the visits they need and also with the right staff that suits their needs.


Chantel is excited to have progressed into the role of Field Care Supervisor with Home Instead and now supports a group of Care Professionals and clients, ensuring they both have the support needed and the best possible care.


In 2025 Chantel continues her journey with Home Instead taking on the training role, to ensure all Care Professionals are compliant with training and new recruits are trained at a high level to enable them to provide the high level of Care we pride ourselves on.
