Overall Experience
Using Home Instead is enabling me to carry on living in my own home. The carers can do in one hour what would take me all day to do - and then I could not do it thoroughly.

Also, it is good to have some social interaction each morning - especially if no one else is coming in that day.

Overall Experience

The flexibility, responsiveness and initiative shown by the supervisors and carers at Home Instead has been excellent. Communication has been strong, using the portal online, regular emails, and phone calls for more urgent issues. Where problems have arisen, the team have swung into action to find solutions, visiting the pharmacy, visiting my mum in hospital, picking up shopping, and booking hair or medical appointments. Each carer to visit my mum has been personally introduced, is friendly and really takes time to get to know her. I couldn't ask for more. The companionship visits and shopping trips have been particularly valuable, massively enhancing my mum's quality of life. Inevitably, for such a quality service, demand is high, and scheduling calls for specific times isn't always easy. But the managers have gone above and beyond to do their best to accommodate, and by communicating so well, we have always been able to find a solution. Huge thanks to all the team.

Overall Experience

From the moment I made the first phone call to Home Instead I knew things would be good. They focused immediately on Mum, asking me to tell them about her rather than telling me about cost and availability. Mum felt very comfortable with everything straight away and didn't have the anxiety that I had anticipated. The carers are amazing. They have done so much more than I ever expected they would. They are never rushed. I thought it was a cliche when people say that their carers are like friends but Mum is so comfortable with them that I understand what people mean by this now. It has helped me enormously particularly as I don't have to do all the household jobs myself anymore. The supervisors are in regular contact to make sure all is well. We were planning to go away for a night and we had to make sure we fitted it around the carers as Mum didn't want it cancel them! It has been life changing for Mum and me and we are so grateful to Home Instead for their care and efficiency

The company has been caring for my mum for nearly 2 years ..,
Very attentive super organised & have never let me down
I've recommended the company & carers to my friends & neighbours who either have a family member who needs help or the person him/herself

I don't know what I'd do without the help they've provided over the years

Overall Experience

We've been very grateful for the support provided by the the Home Instead care team over the past few weeks as my father has recovered from surgery and adapted to a significant decline in mobility. The carers have visited regularly to assist him with getting dressed each morning and to support his gentle rehabilitation efforts.

They've been consistently kind, patient, and respectful - both to my father and to the wider family who've been involved in his care. Their presence has brought structure and calm to what has been a very challenging period, and we've found them to be completely reliable and professional at every step.

It's made a real difference to my father's wellbeing and to our peace of mind, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services to others facing similar circumstances.

Overall Experience

Everyone was very kind and accommodating, especially as my father's needs seemed to change on an almost daily basis. He was assisted to remain independent with dignity and consideration and he looked forward to the visits from his care professionals. It was easy to contact the office and maintain communications and the family portal was also helpful.

The support and genuine care my dad received from the whole team has been fabulous. Dad was reluctant to have carers but because of the way in which this team works, he quickly overcame this and enjoyed his visits from the team. As a family we have been so impressed with the way in which the team have cared and adapted to my dad's changing needs . They have treated him with kindness and dignity at all times, and this has enabled him to retain his independence in living at home longer. We will be forever grateful for this. Thank you.

Overall Experience
We engaged Home Instead to provide support to my sister, following a very professional and reassuring first meeting. Almost immediately after they started she was admitted to hospital for a couple of weeks, but it was easy to work around this and they were there to assist when she came out. Happily, she improved to a point where she did not need further visits, but they were very helpful during the time we needed them and communications were excellent throughout.

We will be very happy to use then again, should the need arise.

Overall Experience

Carers was very good dealing with my mother who has slight dementia they built a good relationships . Down side was the manager who on a meeting with my self and mother made 2 false allegations about me and was very rude so I made a complaint but the owners cancelled the contract.

Overall Experience

Home Instead was helping to look after my husband at home while he was suffering from terminal cancer.

We were very impressed by their carers - they were efficient, punctual, kind and never let us down. They were also carers in the true sense, not just fulfilling a role but interacting with my husband and the rest of the family as individuals who were going through a difficult time.

We would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead to other in a similar position and wish the Company and their wonderful carers all the Best for the future.

The Field Care Supervisor(s) and their Home Instead team are wonderful. A positive initial home visit to my 92-year-old mother resulted in an excellent bespoke care package. Circumstances quickly dictated that enormous changes in provision was required. Everyone was incredibly flexible, professional and kind. In discussing my mother's rapidly changing circumstances. The advice was constructive, and the team were willing to go that extra mile. Positive relationships were established by the whole Home Instead team with my Mum but also with her wider family, as we all supported each other. The confidence in knowing when carers would arrive, who would they be, and that the full allocation of time would be used professionally and socially was immeasurable and wonderfully reassuring. I can wholeheartedly recommend Home Instead to support independent living of a loved one from a stimulating and compassionate perspective. Thank you for the care and the brilliant advice. Never forgotten.

My Dad received excellent support at home from experienced and supportive carers. The care manager was very responsive and communication was always good. The care manager made lots of helpful suggestions over the months of things that would be useful for Dad. The app was a fantastic way to see what has gone on during each visit and was invaluable when things were going downhill. My Dad was treated with kindness and dignity and was supported to make his own choices. Home instead kept closely in touch when he was having more difficulty and quickly increased the package of care - although unfortunately did not have enough hours for him to remain at home.

I would highly recommend them.

The ladies that visit & care for mum are lovely and get on really well with her, they care about her & try & make sure she is well & happy. Any problems they let the office/ family know straight away, they are a peace of mind having them visit mum.

Overall Experience

Home Instead provided daily care for my mum for nearly three years. The care professionals were kind and conscientious. My mum built bonds with many of them and grew fond of a few specific individuals who gave her a sense of friendship and fun as well as caring. The office staff were always responsive to requests and any issues were dealt with quickly and efficiently. I was always kept informed of my mum's welfare. Home Instead are not cheap but I do feel that the service they provide is worth the money. I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to anyone looking for care in their home.

Our experience of using Home Instead was brief but we found the staff both in the office and those who came to the house supportive and understanding of our situation which came about in August and as we approached a bank holiday weekend.

Kerri Gardner

Kerri has worked in the care industry for 18 years, starting her journey as a care and support worker and eventually joining the management team at Home Instead. Home Instead has a family feel for their clients and Care Professionals, which she says she feels proud to be a part of.

Kerri has a level 3 and is working towards level 5 in Health and Social Care, as well as being a trained trainer in various subjects. She recognises the challenges the care industry is facing and ensuring a high quality of care is extremely important to her.
