Home instead care company we could not have asked for more caring staff. The girls helped my husband during his last few weeks of life and consoled me and my family. My husband was at the end of his life which they knew but they managed to jolly him along kept him safe and administered his personal care to a very high standard. I will be forever grateful for the care and support we received. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who may need them.
Following the passing of Mum in November 2022 I became a carer for my 90-year-old dad. It was tough going taking over the majority of everyday functions and I soon became snowed under with what is happening round me. I talked to Dad about getting help and he wasn't happy but I had to tell him I'm working and taking over Mum's role in the home was having physical, mental, and emotional effects on me. I couldn't keep up with the pace and Dad realised we both needed help. It was hard for Dad to accept help in the home but after a few weeks of getting to know the carers Dad warmed to the idea. The carers are very supportive not only to Dad in looking after his needs, but have been a great support to me also with domestic house keeping but also being great companions for Dad in my absence. The office staff are also valued and give as much support and advice when asked for. I know Dad will join Mum soon but I will always treasure and be thankful for the support we had from the carers.
When I ring the office, my call is answered and dealt with promptly and I just always feel we're in safe hands.
The caregivers were kind, thoughtful, consistent, warm and caring, whilst maintaining professionalism at all times. Home Instead has been a lifeline, thank you!
Could not have been more helpful and professional. Always ready to help and advise during what is very often an extremely difficult process and to go the extra mile. I would not hesitate in recommending them to any potential clients.
Home Instead have been caring for mum for a few years now. The ladies who visit are kind, friendly, and thoughtful and provide a very consistent service that suits her needs well. Coupled with support from the office staff, it makes for an excellent, professional company to deal with. The challenge of the pandemic was met with efficiency and at no time was there a problem with visits - a remarkable achievement! Overall, Home Instead provide a top-notch service and I highly recommend them.
Home Instead have been caring for Mum since 2015 and the standard of care and support we have received has been second to none. It gives me great peace of mind to know that Mum has carers that know, understand, and genuinely care about her. She has the same team that look after her, who’ve got to know her, she’s got to know them and she thinks of them as friends coming to see her. Home Instead never send anyone to Mum that hasn’t been before, nor in all that time have they ever missed a visit. Their professionalism, understanding, kindness, and care is outstanding. The rest of the family also feel the benefit by having that peace of mind and not having to worry about who’s going into Mum's home etc. The office staff are always kind and obliging should we need to alter or arrange any extra visits and communication is excellent. In all those 7 years I cannot fault the care that Mum has received and have recommended Home Instead to many of my friends.
I would also like to highlight how the girls have risen to the challenge of coping with my own growing infirmities. That is; my increasing loss of hearing; and problems with my short-term memory, and general mobility.
Finally, I am certain that my two sons, both married and living away from Blackpool, would be happy to echo all that I have said above and to recommend Home Instead to any potential client.
My father was lucky enough to be looked after by Home Instead for nearly 2 years. My father’s illness was complex and after trying 2 care agencies with no success I found the amazing Home Instead. What a difference! The care plan was detailed and their can-do attitude, empathy, kindness, and professionalism was second to none. My father’s condition was forever changing but this did not present a problem to this incredible care company they changed, adapted, and went the extra mile all the time. He had a consistent team of fantastic carers who did an amazing job and an incredible care leader who ran the package and made sure the care was consistent and changes to care, which happened a lot due to the nature of the illness, were communicated effectively. The office manager was so kind and professional and supported me through the journey with never-ending empathy. This team care and pride themselves on being the best and in my opinion they certainly are! I will be forever grateful!
Although this review relates to this month I wish to state that Home Instead are the 5th company we have received care from for my wife in 12 years and far surpass any previous care provider in quality of service by the management, punctuality, quality of caring by the staff and overall performance of the company. They recently ensured my wife had a great birthday with extra attention, songs, laughter, and gifts. I feel confident in leaving morning, afternoon, and evening care to her carers without worrying about her welfare. Extra care is always available at short notice if necessary. Nothing seems too much trouble and I cannot praise them enough. Home Instead - finally a care company that really cares.
The professionalism radiates through every member of staff who man the office working behind the scenes so every element of your care package is seamless. No request is too small, if these girls can make it happen, consider it done. The ladies who provide the hands-on care are truly remarkable. They’re friendly, kind and ready to step up to make the time they spend with the client a happy experience for all. I was truly impressed by the ‘shadowing’ of each carer to introduce them to my aunt and uncle then pass on knowledge and routine details. The kindness they show is amazing and if there’s a question while they are attending there’s always a phone call to alert or ask for guidance.
I am so grateful I found this simply wonderful Care in the Home service, they are truly the best.
Home Instead provide excellent support to our 85 year-old mother ensuring that she can remain happy in her own home. They provide peace of mind to our family, that she is being visited by carers, that genuinely care for her. She likes all of her carers and now sees them, as friends.
Our mum benefits greatly from seeing the same carer most of the time. That carer has built up a great relationship with her and understands Mum's needs. Any other carers are kept to a very small minimum.
Knowing Mum is in good hands helps me a lot to cope with the stresses that having an elderly parent dependant on care brings.
They are always there if we need help with anything. I feel they always do their best to be helpful and flexible when needed.
The Home Instead team (Blackpool & Wyre) have cared for my mum who suffers from Alzheimer's for well over three years. All Mum's carers are amazing with her and care about the service they give, this shows in the detailed reports we get daily. What is excellent is that we have had the same team looking after Mum all the time and mainly one excellent carer. They all know her well, what she likes, what she doesn't. This consistency means they are well placed to flag up with me when things aren't quite right. The care manager appointed to Mum meets regularly with me and her. The general manager and office team are so supportive and I feel give me a personal service. They take the pressure off us, advising when we need it, reassuring us when we need it, and have supported us to make adjustments over the years as Alzheimer's brings changes to ensure it's right for Mum. The team work alongside my sister and I to give Mum the best care possible and keep her safe in her own home. A quality service.
Not being able to visit my aunt because of the pandemic, I decided to ask Home Instead for help and I was not disappointed with the service my aunt received. When we visited for the first time this month, I was impressed with how clean the flat looked, how happy my aunt seemed, how well-stocked the cupboards were and how clean the bed linen looked. I was particularly impressed with the carer who greeted us and how well she got on with my aunt. This is a service I would recommend to anyone who is unable to care for a relative and needs the best possible care for a loved one. I receive regular updates and the manager is never too busy to put my mind at rest on any issue I might have.
I contacted Home Instead in November 2020 to arrange care for my father, who has Alzheimer's. After sending a quick email query, I was contacted by one of the managers to discuss the care packages available on the same afternoon. The manager was very friendly and answered all the questions I had and even arranged a face to face meeting for myself and to meet my father to decide upon the care he required. Once the requirements of care were established and initial meetings with the carers agreed, it was all easy and gave me peace of mind. We have an agreed schedule and access to an online diary to check-in. We have recently had a 6-month review, to check and assess the level of care and determine if the package needs changing in any way. Overall the whole process was handled smoothly and easily, and the staff are fantastic. I would recommend Home Instead in the future.
My Mother-in-law was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and was reluctant to have someone come into her home. We had some difficult decisions to make as we live over one hundred miles away but Home Instead (Blackpool and Wyre) made that transition really easy. From the moment we met the manager and her team we knew we had made the right decision and we managed to keep Mum at home for over eighteen months. The caregivers provided a high standard of care, person-centred, and all very caring individuals who understood Mum, her Dementia, and her very specific problems. We were given regular updates and the team spent many an hour on the phone giving us reassurance and always managed to find solutions for any problems that arose. Unfortunately, Mum's condition deteriorated and her Dementia put her at risk. Home Instead (Blackpool and Wyre) were there day and night until we could find an appropriate nursing home and then ensured her admission was as painless as possible. Many thanks to the manager, another member of staff, and all the caregivers. I can highly recommend Home Instead (Blackpool and Wyre).
After Mum started displaying symptoms of dementia, it became apparent she was struggling with her home life. I was at quite a loss as to what to do. I lived three hours away and my visits had to become more and more frequent. We employed an agency for a brief time, but I did not feel this was helping Mum’s situation, then we turned to Home Instead, who provided a small team of experienced, more mature ladies taking care of Mum, making good relationships with her, cooking meals, and giving personal care. Mum improved, I felt I could move away from my role as her carer and I got my life back, to an extent. The last year, Covid restrictions resulted in a loss of mobility for Mum as she could not go out, but Home Instead stepped up and helped us to give Mum the best quality of life, in her own home as best we could until Covid restrictions were lifted, allowing us to bring her to a care home near to me (March 2021). Thanks to the office team and manager for the support and kindness through some very dark times.
Excellent service. Such a weight off our mind knowing our Mum is being looked after. She is very happy. Nothing is too much trouble, and with the online portal, it's easy to see how she is doing-day to-day. Really responsive, caring and proactive service. Would wholeheartedly recommend.
Home Instead has been caring for my aunt for a few years now. She regards the carers as her friends and her regular care providers have become fond of her. Especially in the current climate of pandemic lockdown, Home Instead have been a reassuring and consistent presence in her life. I live 250 miles away and I can't thank each of the carers enough for all the help they provide. The level of care that everyone at HomeInstead provides is outstanding.
