Home Instead (Wembley)

I have nothing but the highest praise for Home Instead. Everyone at their Wembley branch from their manager to every carer I have come into contact with, could not be more genuinely caring or helpful to both the clients or to their family and friends. They have on a number of occasions gone above and beyond to ensure the safety and comfort of my elderly friend, including leaving the office to dash over on one occasion when we suspected a fall. Nothing appears to be too much trouble and I have tested that assumption more than once. The care and reassurance they provide result in peace of mind that you are doing the very best for your loved ones.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead. Our experience has been first class in all aspects. My father was looked after in an extremely professional and caring way by the carers, and as he gradually needed more and more care, they stepped up in every way. Always on time, reliable and caring. One of the challenges we face coming from a traditional Indian background is looking after our elders and that means living with our Parents but equally balancing this with our own needs. My Mum lives by herself, and is fairly independent and looks to be self-sufficient. Following an incident at her house, we considered putting Mum in a home but that would have upset Mum a lot. That's when we found Home Instead and spoke to the Director to understand her approach, how it works and how it could work with us. Mum was actively involved throughout so she made the decision.

The first visit from Mum's carer was nervous for us all, though the anxiety quickly dispersed as the lady showed the support and empathy we expected but spent the time Mum wanted to talk about anything and everything. She initially only did what Mum wanted and this has increased as Mum's trust grew.

We can't thank them enough for making this such a positive journey for us all.

The manager is an excellent manager. I have absolute confidence in her ability and the ability of the carers to look after my mother, who has Alzheimer's. The carers are first-class, they provide support, help and are extremely kind. I have confidence that my parents are in safe and professional hands.

The care for my mother has given me such peace of mind. She is so happy, and so are we. She is eating well and having her medication on time too. We started slowly, as she was apprehensive, but she was doing so well; that we were able to increase care with Home Instead. Everyone, carers and office staff are so helpful and kind. They respond so quickly that I can't ask for anymore. We are very happy with the service. Thank you so much.

The level of care was exceptional, I could at all times discuss my father's care needs with experienced staff. The carers were of a very high standard, they attended without exception on a daily basis when required, were always on time and attentive to my father's needs. I have no hesitation in recommending the team to anyone wishing to use them for elderly care support.

One of the best elderly service I have experienced. They are all highly trained in dementia and very efficient, gentle and kind with my mum in laws care. They find a carer who speaks the same language and is of similar background to suit their client's needs. Always available on the other end of the phone for help and support. We need more awareness of this service. So grateful to all the super team at Home Instead. Keep up the good work and thank you so much.

Overall a positive experience that helped a lot during a difficult time and we would use again.

Without this support, Dad would not be able to stay at home and I know that he is hugely grateful of the care that they provide both to him, but also supporting my sister and I.

Suddenly having to find a good care provider for a loved one is scary. In our case, our 87-year-old mum was becoming more confused and took too much medication and ended up in hospital. Searching reviews of private care companies, Home Instead kept coming up with positive reviews. Even though it was 9pm at night, I emailed the director of Home Instead, Wembley and she replied within half an hour. Pretty impressive at a time when I and my siblings were feeling very stressed. When they met Mum we were very impressed with the interest they took in her as a person and the personality of a carer who would best suit Mum. The first carer was very nice and efficient but not quite the match. Mum needs someone bubbly in the morning when she can be at her lowest in mood. Home Instead Wembley picked up on this after a few days and the new carer has been perfect. Mum loves seeing her every morning and just an hour a day has removed a huge worry. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Home Instead have been caring for my grandfather for the last few months. The change in his confidence is lovely to see. He has been so lonely and feels upset when we leave after we visit him. He looks forward to his visits and his carers are kind and patient with him. He wants to go out so we are working towards this now. Home Instead give us, as a family, peace of mind and has given my grandfather something to look forward to everyday and for that we are very grateful.

The whole team were wonderful looking after my mum when she was discharged from hospital. From helping her cook her meals to providing outstanding companionship, the team went above and beyond to care for my mum.

Home Instead have been providing care for my grandfather. We have seen him change from a man who was very lonely to a man who smiles when he talks about his carers. He looks forward to the visits and really loves his carers. They are so kind to him and help him with all the things that he finds hard while helping him to maintain some independence and it makes him happy. We can’t thank them enough for what they do, nothing is too much.

My Father was diagnosed with COPD 5 years ago. His health has deteriorated rapidly, he is unable to mobilise for long. Home Instead have been great, from the office to the carers. Dad has the same carer four times a week, so has build up a great relationship. The company has taken a weight off of my shoulders.

The caregivers have been absolutely lovely. My mother considers them an extension fo her little family. The management is excellent, very responsive even on weekends. I don't know how we would cope without Home Instead now. We are all so happy that my mother is in safe hands.

Home Instead have been caring for my grandmother for a while now. We have seen her grow in confidence and she is much happier than she was. She looks forward to her visits and really loves her carers. Her carers are so kind and are so patient with her and sometimes take her out too. She is so happy and we are very grateful for what they have done.

Always treat their clients with respect and care. I think that the respect it has to be gained and they do it. I highly recommend them to the others.
