We have a good relationship with all the carers and have formed lasting friendships. The carers are all of a very high standard and take great care of my mother. I find them extremely honest and I am pleased to have used Promedica24 for her care.

Promedica24 have provided respite care whilst my mother's live-in carer took leave. They are now about to provide long-term live-in care for us when our current carer leaves. At all times they have been responsive, professional, accountable and understanding. They have been willing to go the extra mile
and have been flexible enough to take account of our particular circumstances. They have worked collaboratively with us to help meet our needs, have welcomed our feedback and acted on it. This is all particularly important when dealing with the stresses and demands of care for the elderly in what is often a fluctuating situation. We particularly welcome the relative continuity of the care they provide as distinct from many other agencies, as well as their desire to build and maintain a relationship with us. To date, our experience has been very positive and we look forward to this next phase of our relationship with Promedica 24.

Reply from Gary Derbyshire, Franchise Partner at Promedica24

Thank you very much for your positive comments and we also appreciate your cooperation and kind welcome showed to our carers during their time caring for your mother.

Promedica24 - Cheshire East have supplied us with very competent and caring carers. They generally stay for a minimum of 6 weeks which has allowed my mum to develop a good relationship with the carer. The latest carer was lovely and had to return home for a while but she is due back which we are all
very happy about.
Promedica keep us up to date with any changes and are in touch with the carers on a regular basis to make sure they are happy and also to make sure my mum is being looked after properly.
I would definitely recommend Promedica to anyone that needs 24/7 care.

Thank you Louise - your feedback is really appreciated. It has been and is a real privilege to look after your mum for so long now and also thank you for making our carers feel part of the family.

My mum had suffered a stroke just before Christmas and was going to be in the hospital for some time. My mum was also my dad's main carer as he has Parkinson’s, they are both in their 80’s. We heard of Promedica24 through the social services department as we had to consider my dads care. He prefers
to stay in his own home rather than go in a nursing home, so we inquired with Promedica about a live-in carer. Promedica24 responded quickly and came to assess my dad's needs, they were able to provide a suitably qualified carer at relatively short notice. The carer is a young polish girl and is very pleasant and speaks good English and takes very good care of my dad. My dad is very pleased with his care and being able to stay in his own home.
We have been very happy with the service provided by Promedica24. On the basis of our experience so far we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Having recruited the help of Promedica24 at the end of July we were preparing ourselves for the big step of having live-in care for my Mother and Father-in-law.
Now 5 weeks in and we couldn’t be happier with the service.
My mother-in-law suffers from Alzheimer’s and my Father-in-law Parkinsons. Having
live-in care has ensured they can stay in their own home – together – for a little longer.
The carer is delightful and has fitted into family life really well – I don’t know how we coped without her.
It has meant we can all sleep more easily knowing they both have the support and care they need.
It was definitely the right thing to do.
Thanks

Promedica24 has taken away the stress of caring for mum's deteriorating health. We now spend quality time when we visit, instead of struggling to keep her home running as well as ours. The live-in carers Promedica24 provide, keep her house clean and tidy, she is well cared for and enjoying her home
again. Mum has been able to stay in her own home with her memories around her. It was a big decision but it feels like we have entrusted her care to a family friend.

Reply from Mark Muller, Manager at Promedica24

Thank you, it is a pleasure to provide support and we always receive a warm welcome. I am proud to be part of a team that has enabled mum to remain in her family home. Kind Regards Mark.

We have been with Promedica24 for over three months and are thrilled. Throughout everyone has focussed on my mother and understanding her needs. We decided on Promedica based on this and also because of their ‘Good’ CQC report. Also, they pay the carers; they charge exactly what it says on the website
– no registration/admin fees suddenly appearing later and they have been operating in Germany for years where there is a tradition of home care - this means they really know what they are doing.

Our carer was with us within 10 days of our first meeting. She is wonderful and has made a super relationship with my mother. For her, anxiety is a huge issue and her carer does everything to keep this at bay whilst maintaining her independence – and cooking fabulous meals!

Subsequently, the regional partner has been a wonderful support – he has a charming way with my mother and keeps in close touch. Promedica have taken a huge burden off my family’s shoulders and really have exceeded our expectations.

This care package has made a great difference to my parents quality of life, enabling them to remain in their home yet receive care and support that they need to retain independence. They have thrived, being able to do things that were previously a struggle.

I would thoroughly recommend 24/7 caring and Promedica24 throughout all our contact with them as they were very helpful and supportive. They supported us in choosing the right carer and she made every effort to establish a good rapport with my father-in-law. Both manager and staff were very professional
and caring at all times.

Promedica24 have been providing live-in care for my mother since June this year. I was concerned that my mother (who has early stage dementia) would not tolerate another person living in her home or that the care would be inadequate. I need not have worried. It is so reassuring to know that, should
mum have a fall, there is always someone there to deal with the situation. The carers are professional and kind providing both high-quality care and companionship.

My only issue is with the care changeover. It would be so helpful if I could know, when a new carer arrives, exactly how long she will be staying so I can book leave from work and be there to support mum with her change of carer.

I was given several care companies to contact when I was looking for someone to help me with my elderly mother who was coming home from hospital and required live-in care until she was back up on her feet. Promedica24 was the one company that truly seemed helpful and came through very quickly with assistance.
My contact was extremely helpful as he could see that my mother was not sure about how having someone live in would work. He found us a lovely carer, she cared for my mother very well and the situation worked perfectly. I would recommend this company to others who are looking for help with care issues.

The care provided for my aunt and uncle has been exceptional. The carers have looked after them as if they were family; nothing has been too much trouble. When my uncle was very ill, and eventually passed away, they did all they could to make him comfortable and showed him the dignity and respect he
deserved.

Knowing such good care is in place is a great comfort, and has taken a lot of pressure from me. The manager and his team have given me the confidence and peace of mind, to know that my aunt and uncle are being looked after, and taken care of in the best way possible.

I would like to thank all who have been involved for their care and dedication.

I needed 24/7 care after going home from hospital I had a broken hip and this company was recommended to me by two different people.
I've had two different Polish carers and they both have spoken very good English so no problems at all with communication the care I received was to a very good standard
and nothing is ever too much trouble. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone who requires a high standard of care.

We have had two carers to date and I am delighted how well they settled in and took on the needs of my 94-year old mother so quickly. It is obvious how well my mother is coping with a carer living in and it was clearly the correct choice for her well-being.

I really cannot offer enough praise and

say what a weight has been lifted knowing that my mother can continue to live in her home but have the security of someone looking after her well-being.

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.431 for Promedica24 is calculated as follows: ( (33 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) + (4 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 51 Ratings = 4.431

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Promedica24 is based on 8 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.8

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I started working in care over 15 years ago. My son was two and a half at the time and I needed a job that would fit around being his mum.

I started as a Care Support Worker and quickly found that I really enjoyed being part of a care team. Hearing people's stories, and being able to be a small part in ensuring they still knew they were valued and that they still had a lot to offer this world gave me a sense of knowing that this was the career path for me.

I believe starting as a Carer and then working my way up has allowed me to see the different processes and given me a better overall understanding. I am passionate about good person-centred care where the person is always at the heart of everything we do. I worked my way up over the years studying as I went along.

I worked as a Carer, Admin Support, Trainer, Locality Manager, Client Relationship Manager, and Care Manager and after completing my level 5, I have now moved up into the Registered Manager Role.

Working within Promedica24 has given me a great sense of teamwork, of the importance of supporting your team, and a great understanding of how putting the people who use our service first has great benefits for all.

I hope to lead with a servant's heart and enable my team to achieve their goals. Care is where my heart lies, and being able to be a part of a fantastic care company in a leadership role is a challenge I am looking forward to, and one where I will give my very best. I will uphold our values, and work hard with my colleagues to ensure we deliver the best possible person-centred care.

Job Title: Ribble Valley, Lancashire and North Yorkshire Regional Partner

Hello, I’m Gary - your Regional Partner for North Yorkshire and Lancashire. I launched the Promedica24 Lancashire office in 2016 with my partner Gill, before expanding our services to North Yorkshire, offering people a genuine alternative to residential care. I’ve previously worked for the Met Office on its Healthy Outlook Initiative, supporting the NHS and Primary Care Trusts to help keep people with respiratory health conditions to live well at home at times of poor weather, whilst also helping to avoid hospital admissions.

A common theme throughout my career is my desire to help and support others. Whether through my community fundraising initiatives with local charities such as Dementia Forward or through raising key issues with decision makers in health and social care – I am passionate about ensuring the people of Lancashire and North Yorkshire can live independently and well in the comfort of their own homes.

In my spare time I enjoy playing golf, walking in the countryside with Gill and our dogs, and watching my favourite football team, Manchester United – though that's not been too enjoyable in recent times!

Job Title: Dorset and Hampshire Regional Partner

Hello, I’m Mark – your Regional Partner for Dorset, Hampshire & the New Forest. I joined Promedica24 in 2015 to provide people with a genuine alternative to residential care. With over 15 years of experience in the care industry, I continue striving to help meet the real need for live-in care in the southwest.

I am convinced supporting people to remain in the home they love is the best environment for people who find themselves needing support. As life chips away at our capabilities, we will all need some level of support. This varies greatly from preparing meals, providing a means for people to remain active in their communities to helping couples remain together. The relationships I have witnessed and the changes we have enabled show me that we are making a positive impact in people’s lives every day.

In my spare time, I act as a non-paid driver for my daughter ferrying her to various clubs, and I occasionally get out for a bike ride with friends. With two cats, a dog, a hamster, fish, and frogs, there is always something to do. Walking our dog Thor keeps me fit whatever the weather and I’m fortunate to live in a lovely area with the beach and forest not far away.

I am also a Dementia Friend with the Alzheimer’s Society, raising awareness and understanding of what it’s like living with the condition in my community.

Job Title: Chester, Cheshire and North Wales Regional Partner

Hello, I’m John – your Regional Partner for Chester, Cheshire, and North Wales. I launched the Promedica24 Cheshire branch just over five years ago to provide the communities I serve with a genuine alternative to residential care. I’m proud to say my live-in care branch is known amongst the Cheshire community as the go-to provider in the area.

Caring for people is part of my family heritage. My parents both worked in the NHS, my sister still does, and my children aspire to be dietitians and physiotherapists. As a teenager, I saw how hard it was for my parents to juggle their busy jobs whilst raising a young family and caring for my grandparents. I know what this pressure looks and feels like for people now.

Today, what my parents want from professional care in later life has radically altered. They wish to remain at home. To stay in familiar surroundings, with family and friends able to visit at any time. To keep their pets, their possessions, and routines. To live their own lives and have their own choices. I very much welcome a chat with you to see how we can improve you and your loved one's life if professional care is required.

In my spare time, you’ll find me in my garden or on a tennis court (I’m quite competitive). Maybe reading a history book - if I get any peace and quiet with teenage children around – which isn’t often!

I especially feel a deep sense of gratitude when you assist a person who has spent months in a hospital bed, to finally be in their own home, to see the smile on their face as they settle into their favourite seat. I look forward to being of service to you, making your life more comfortable, and getting you home.

I’m an avid aviation enthusiast, photographer and videographer. I also have a love for travel and cooking.

Job Title: North Surrey Regional Partner

Hello, I’m Tibor – your Regional Partner for North & West Surrey. As one of the very first franchise partners in the UK, I have been running my live-in care branch in Surrey since April 2014. Back in my home country, Hungary, I worked in PR and sales, before moving into the care industry and working as a carer for two years. Fast forward eight years, and I have helped hundreds of families across Surrey find the support they need.

I am passionate about making a difference in my community, and my role as Regional Partner is to ensure people have access to the support they need to live their lives. Whether your loved one requires help around the home, or you are finding everyday tasks just that little bit more challenging, we are here to provide you with the best possible care to live your life independently in the comfort of your own home.

For almost two years, before Covid, I supported the local community as a volunteer driver, taking vulnerable people to GP and hospital appointments. I have also been helping a local family with two disabled children for several years as a translator and interpreter to keep in touch with social services and healthcare professionals.
