We have been using this service since March 2017 for the care of my daughter (24 hours). We have 2 carers and have found them both to be kind, caring and respectful and would certainly recommend the agency going on the service that they have given us.

I am a semi-retired farmer, I've had many accidents resulting in being crippled by Parkinson's and Arthritis. Promedica24 has been exceptional in choosing the right carer. The carer needs the strength of character to allow me to be independent with personal hygiene and jobs around the farm with safety
the first requirement.
Promedica24 has been exceptional at all levels, that means management, office, carers etc. Who has been willing to participate with humour, anything that needed doing. I'm very satisfied to recommend.

Have recruited the help of Promedica24 at the end of July we were all preparing ourselves for the big step of having live-in care for my Mother and Father in-law.
Now 3 weeks in and we couldn't be happier with the service. My mother-in-law suffers from Alzheimer's and my Father-in-Law Parkinsons...having
live-in care has ensured they can stay in their own home together for a little longer. The carer is delightful and has fitted into family life really well - I don't know how we coped without her.
It has meant we can all sleep more easily knowing they both have the support and care they need.
It was definitely the right thing to do.
Thanks

I looked into 13 different care providers when our 86 year old mother's previous live-in carers handed in their notice a couple of months ago. My brother and I felt it was very important that we identified a professional company who understood our mother's specific needs and who were willing to find
her a carer with whom she could get on. My initial telephone enquiry was extremely useful and our individual requirements were explored in detail. We were impressed with the level of professionalism, and (equally importantly) we never felt as if we were being pressured to make a decision.

We needed quite a quick turn around and a suitable carer to be found in time to replace the carers who were leaving. It was helpful to be able to discuss the proposed carer with the regional manager and to see details of her profile and experience. It was also good to learn about the stringent language tests that the carers take, to ensure that communication is not likely to be a problem.

The carer was personable, diligent and able to deal with changes in health circumstances of my father. She communicated very well at all times when needed. Her management team gave full support to during and following the carer's assignment. Promedica24 created peace of mind for me while away. My wife
fully supports my view as expressed here.

Promedica provide consistecy and continuity with two very lovely ladies caring for a dear friend for whom I am Power of Attorney. These ladies truly care for my friend and he thrives under their care. If something is causing him anxiety they do all they can to help him in a calm way. There is always
plenty of laughter between them which is a joy to see. I am able to leave him in their safe hands knowing he is happy and safe.

Have been very satisfied with service supplied by Promedica 24 Ltd to my 93-year-old sister, who is partially sighted and suffering from one of the forms of dementia and cannot look after herself in a safe manner. She would not be allowed to remain in her own home without the career supplied by Promedica.

Using Promedica for 24 hour live-in care for my mother has been a very good experience for us as a family. The initial support was excellent, easy to start up, reasonable cost, and the warm and professionalism of the ladies they supplied were second to none. My mother received the best care imaginable.
We no longer use Promedica solely because mum deteriorated so much she is now cared for in a specialist Alzheimer's home.

The standard of care provided to my mother is very good indeed. Her carer has been excellent in assessing and meeting my mother's needs throughout her stay. She is very cheerful and friendly and nothing is too much bother for her. She is extremely good at looking forward to see what might be changed
to improve my mother's comfort and healthcare and her communication skills with us (we live 100 miles away) is faultless. The carer is supported by the regional care manager and the owner, both of whom have been on hand to answer any queries that have been raised by the carer or ourselves. We would certainly recommend this service.

My Promedica24 carers have been looking after me for 18 months. The girls have been great, helping me with my diet (I am diabetic), my personal care and all the housekeeping. They take me to my appointments. They also look after my two cats who mean a lot to me. I would be helpless and lonely without
my carers. They make sure I am safe and secure.

At the end of a stressful rehab period, the family were given a week to organise 24-hour live-in care for my mother after her stroke. Main problems were very poor balance, falls, poor sight, and memory. I contacted Promedica24 who visited to assess a day later with care starting on the Friday, only
five days. The manager who assessed listened to everything that was said recording the conversation almost word for word in the care plan.

Both the carers she has had so far have been kind and caring and have set our minds at rest as we live away. It is never easy having a stranger in the house and both Nancy and the carer managed to overcome any difficulties, including language. Both Polish carers spoke good English, she sometimes found the accent problematical. The house is kept clean and tidy with good communication between family, carers and Promedica24 office.

If it were not for Promedica's so far excellent service she would have had to go to a nursing home.

Our local hospital told us about Promedica24 when we were looking for carers for my husband's parents. We have two live-in carers and we are very pleased with their work. They cook fresh meals daily and do all the housework and washing. They also provide some therapy for my mother-in-law who has dementia.
We are only too pleased to recommend Promedica24.

All of the managers with whom I have had contact have been very good and very helpful, and have always responded quickly to my mails.
Unfortunately we started with a number of different carers, none of whom returned after their first work period. Most were good, but one was poor - poor English and
a poor level of care. One carer who has returned has been excellent, and the current replacement is also excellent so we are very pleased with the current arrangements.

I started working in care over 15 years ago. My son was two and a half at the time and I needed a job that would fit around being his mum.

I started as a Care Support Worker and quickly found that I really enjoyed being part of a care team. Hearing people's stories, and being able to be a small part in ensuring they still knew they were valued and that they still had a lot to offer this world gave me a sense of knowing that this was the career path for me.

I believe starting as a Carer and then working my way up has allowed me to see the different processes and given me a better overall understanding. I am passionate about good person-centred care where the person is always at the heart of everything we do. I worked my way up over the years studying as I went along.

I worked as a Carer, Admin Support, Trainer, Locality Manager, Client Relationship Manager, and Care Manager and after completing my level 5, I have now moved up into the Registered Manager Role.

Working within Promedica24 has given me a great sense of teamwork, of the importance of supporting your team, and a great understanding of how putting the people who use our service first has great benefits for all.

I hope to lead with a servant's heart and enable my team to achieve their goals. Care is where my heart lies, and being able to be a part of a fantastic care company in a leadership role is a challenge I am looking forward to, and one where I will give my very best. I will uphold our values, and work hard with my colleagues to ensure we deliver the best possible person-centred care.

Gary

Gary Derbyshire

Job Title: Ribble Valley, Lancashire and North Yorkshire Regional Partner

Hello, I’m Gary - your Regional Partner for North Yorkshire and Lancashire. I launched the Promedica24 Lancashire office in 2016 with my partner Gill, before expanding our services to North Yorkshire, offering people a genuine alternative to residential care. I’ve previously worked for the Met Office on its Healthy Outlook Initiative, supporting the NHS and Primary Care Trusts to help keep people with respiratory health conditions to live well at home at times of poor weather, whilst also helping to avoid hospital admissions.

A common theme throughout my career is my desire to help and support others. Whether through my community fundraising initiatives with local charities such as Dementia Forward or through raising key issues with decision makers in health and social care – I am passionate about ensuring the people of Lancashire and North Yorkshire can live independently and well in the comfort of their own homes.

In my spare time I enjoy playing golf, walking in the countryside with Gill and our dogs, and watching my favourite football team, Manchester United – though that's not been too enjoyable in recent times!

Mark

Mark Muller

Job Title: Dorset and Hampshire Regional Partner

Hello, I’m Mark – your Regional Partner for Dorset, Hampshire & the New Forest. I joined Promedica24 in 2015 to provide people with a genuine alternative to residential care. With over 15 years of experience in the care industry, I continue striving to help meet the real need for live-in care in the southwest.

I am convinced supporting people to remain in the home they love is the best environment for people who find themselves needing support. As life chips away at our capabilities, we will all need some level of support. This varies greatly from preparing meals, providing a means for people to remain active in their communities to helping couples remain together. The relationships I have witnessed and the changes we have enabled show me that we are making a positive impact in people’s lives every day.

In my spare time, I act as a non-paid driver for my daughter ferrying her to various clubs, and I occasionally get out for a bike ride with friends. With two cats, a dog, a hamster, fish, and frogs, there is always something to do. Walking our dog Thor keeps me fit whatever the weather and I’m fortunate to live in a lovely area with the beach and forest not far away.

I am also a Dementia Friend with the Alzheimer’s Society, raising awareness and understanding of what it’s like living with the condition in my community.

John

John Pughe

Job Title: Chester, Cheshire and North Wales Regional Partner

Hello, I’m John – your Regional Partner for Chester, Cheshire, and North Wales. I launched the Promedica24 Cheshire branch just over five years ago to provide the communities I serve with a genuine alternative to residential care. I’m proud to say my live-in care branch is known amongst the Cheshire community as the go-to provider in the area.

Caring for people is part of my family heritage. My parents both worked in the NHS, my sister still does, and my children aspire to be dietitians and physiotherapists. As a teenager, I saw how hard it was for my parents to juggle their busy jobs whilst raising a young family and caring for my grandparents. I know what this pressure looks and feels like for people now.

Today, what my parents want from professional care in later life has radically altered. They wish to remain at home. To stay in familiar surroundings, with family and friends able to visit at any time. To keep their pets, their possessions, and routines. To live their own lives and have their own choices. I very much welcome a chat with you to see how we can improve you and your loved one's life if professional care is required.

In my spare time, you’ll find me in my garden or on a tennis court (I’m quite competitive). Maybe reading a history book - if I get any peace and quiet with teenage children around – which isn’t often!

Job Title: Wirral and Cheshire East Regional Partner

Hello, I’m Jonathan – your Regional Partner for Wirral. I launched the Promedica24 branch in 2016 after identifying a real need for alternatives to residential care in the area. I was born in Clatterbridge and grew up in West Kirby before going to the University of Leeds to read Russian and Czech. I spent over 20 years in the IT and telecommunications sector, working across the UK and Europe meeting people from many different nationalities and cultures. I’m now married and live in Heswall with my family.

I am part of the Dementia Friends initiative, participating in Dementia Services Showcase events in addition to being a key speaker at Later Life Seminars with AgeUK Wirral. I look forward to working with you and seeing how we can best support you to live independently in the comfort of your own home.

As a keen fan of the outdoors, I was an active member and volunteer at Neston Cricket club for over 10 years and I’m now a volunteer and participant at both West Kirby and Dee Sailing Clubs where I sail with my children. In Wirral, we are fortunate to have an abundance of wonderful outdoor spaces on our doorstep and I hope people of all ages can continue to enjoy them for a long time to come.

Running my live-in care branch has allowed me to use my life to benefit the lives of others. I especially feel a deep sense of gratitude when you assist a person who has spent months in a hospital bed, to finally be in their own home, to see the smile on their face as they settle into their favourite seat. I am passionate about making a difference in my community, and my role as Regional Partner is to ensure people have access to the support they need to live their lives. Whether your loved one requires help around the home, or you are finding everyday tasks just that little bit more challenging, we are here to provide you with the best possible care to live your life independently in the comfort of your own home.
