My elderly mother is exceptionally well looked after by the team of carers from Radfield Home Care.

I had Radfield start coming to look after my nan after she was discharged from hospital in February 2023. She absolutely loved them, they were brilliant with her and always accommodating with her ever-changing needs. She required district nursing care for several months so we left Radfield during this
time, now she has recovered we have Radfield back and she is happier than ever. The staff that look after her are lovely and always communicate any issues or concerns, the management is also fabulous and I can't thank them enough for helping me look after my nan.

Outstanding in all respects! My mother had a hip replacement operation and we knew she would need some post-operative support at home. We contacted Radfield and although it was a last-minute request (having been badly let down at the last minute by another care provider) they approached the situation
pragmatically and professionally by trying to find practical solutions. Initially, my mother was reticent about having people visit her at home, but everyone has been very friendly and polite and treated her with dignity. Indeed, she has positively enjoyed the visits and although my mother no longer requires help she wants to maintain some contact with the team.
Cost was not an overriding factor when we contracted with Radfield: but when we found out the charges we were very pleasantly surprised. Radfield's fees are lower than those of other care providers we had approached.
My mother cannot fault Radfield and that's what is really important.

Incredible care from such wonderfully kind, empathetic, helpful, friendly, honest, trustworthy and caring people that we have had the very good fortune to meet and work with. Thank you so much for making Mum's final year of her life more comfortable and happy. Mum unfortunately passed away on the 13th
of March 2024, completely at peace and in her own home, a promise myself (son) and my sister made to her and our late Dad. There is not enough space to write about how we feel about what they have done and the praise we wish to bestow on this organisation. Superbly run by sourcing the very best personalities and characters as carers, that’s what gives Radfield a position way above that of any care company I have known of. If you are looking for the very best care for your loved one, we would give Radfield Chester, the highest of recommendations for delivering the Gold standard of care that they provided for our mum. I am really pleased with the service I have received while recovering from problems after left hip replacement and a nasty fall. Every member of the team were kind and helpful and always went the extra mile. I was very well cared for. The management team were also very helpful and responded very quickly
to requests. I would not hesitate to recommend the team.

I find the staff to be friendly and helpful as I am now 95 and with difficulties in balance and opening things but I try to keep going as much as I can and keep things tidy. It is good to be able to have a chat and be kept up to date. Thank you all.

My review is from 23/10/23-24/1/24. All the carers are pleasant and reliable if there has been a problem they have contacted me, however, I do think the fees are high as there isn't anything to do but just check on the client and have a chat.

I am pleased (and relieved) that reliable and agreeable carers, who dad likes, are helping to extend Dad's independent living. He enjoys an hour of company, gets his evening meal cooked and served, and has some interesting conversations. His kitchen is always left clean and messages in his journal keep
us all up to speed with any issues.

I think the relationship has definitely improved in the past year or so after my dad was issued with his two-week notice period which said you would be terminating the service which you later agreed to rescind.
Since then I feel like all my dad's needs have been met and that the staff and carers have
all treated my dad with respect and dignity.
My dad is no angel but unfortunately, that's part of his condition and he suffers from behavioural problems linked to his MS which very often leads him to act strange.
I did feel let down last year after the termination email arrived in my inbox but I do feel that this year Radfield have gone above and beyond in all aspects of the care given to my dad and support to the family.
Part of me still isn't sure whether that's only because we made an official complaint about the planned withdrawal of service or whether that's because they actually do care.
But nevertheless, I am still grateful for a good year of care for my dad.

We really value the service provided to Mum. The care team are punctual and follow the agreed care plan. They help Mum to shower and treat her with dignity and respect. The team are helpful and courteous and are happy to help Mum with whatever she asks. Mum really appreciates that she has a regular
team of carers who visit. She talks about them fondly. Mum also appreciates that all new team members are introduced to her, prior to visits. Thank you.

Now that Radfield Care are looking after me, I feel safe and more positive about managing to stay in my own home a little longer.

Very pleased with the carer, who covered all aspects of my mother's care plan. We are pleased with the care program and service from Radfield. The carers are wonderful and pay attention to detail. All of this was covered well by the carer.

My uncle receives a high standard of care from Radfield Home Care with 3 calls every day. The carers look after his daily needs with professionalism, care and consideration, checking that he is safe and comfortable at all times. The team also ensures that I am kept well informed, which helps give me

Staff all friendly, but remain professional. Very caring and seem genuinely focused on assisting my daughter while still promoting independence where possible. Excellent service, 5 months now 3 x 1 hour per week. Carers are happy to share my showering needs for about half an hour, make or change my bed, and do small household tasks eg. putting washing outside empty bins and making my breakfast. Thank you.

The standard of care has been high from my main carer especially. Getting help in with care was a difficult decision, but the carers have made the transition as smooth as possible. We have recommended Radfield to friends who are now also clients.

My personal opinion, Radfield Home Care on the sharp end, are patient and kind in completing their duties. I would like to see more uniformity across the team when it comes to the number of tasks they do on each visit, but overall I am pleased at the care they provide for my friend.

is a challenging job, and due to the poor health of my friend, any chopping and changing of timings for her care plan, have been swiftly addressed - the Admin and Management staff are efficient - they are approachable and friendly without compromising on their professionalism.

Julie, co-owner and director of Radfield Home Care Chester & Ellesmere Port before living overseas for 10 years, worked for ‘Diageo’ for 15 years as an account administrator. She also was a team leader in departmental projects and delivered training when the department migrated overseas. Julie started her own Childcare business which she ran for 4 years gaining childcare qualifications before going overseas.


Whilst working overseas Julie worked in Dubai English Speaking College as a Food and Nutrition Technician and Kitchen Manager, gaining many qualifications in food & nutrition, first aid and fire marshal.


Julie explains, “We came back to Chester, my husband’s hometown, to settle back into English life and to get involved in the community around us. We both knew that we wanted to give something back to the community we love and get involved in making people's lives better.”

About Clare

What is your background before joining Radfield?
I have over a decade of experience in care, starting out as a care professional. Over the years, I progressed to a field care supervisor and assistant care manager.


How has your background prepared you for your new role at RHC?
I started my career in care as a part-time care professional. When I moved over to the care sector full-time time I was promoted to field care supervisor, then to assistant care manager and on to registered care manager. Starting as a care professional has meant that I understand the challenges that care professionals face every day. I still enjoy delivering care and being out and about supporting the care professionals, clients and their families.


What has inspired you to want to be involved in the adult social care sector?
I have always enjoyed helping people and spending a lot of time with my grandma and her friends when I was a child. I was a manager in the catering sector for many years. I then went on to apply to be a part-time care professional, quickly discovering that I had found the perfect career path and moved over to the care sector full-time. I enjoy putting a smile on the clients' faces and going home with a feeling that I had made a difference in someone’s day.


How do you feel your role and your experience will benefit Radfield’s clients?
Throughout my career, I have completed every role in the field and in the office within Domiciliary Care. This has provided me with good overall knowledge of every part of the business. As a care professional, I especially enjoyed delivering end-of-life care and dementia care to clients. I have extensive knowledge and experience that our clients can benefit from. I am dedicated to delivering outstanding care to our clients and their families. To help our clients to live in their own homes with their memories for as long as possible.
