My Mother had care from Home Instead for five years until she wasn't able to safely remain in her own home.
The standard of care on the whole was good and most of the staff, carers and office team very helpful and cared about their clients. There were difficult times and people went out of their way
to help specially as my Mum lived a distance away from her family. The office were generally very helpful and on occasion went above and beyond. The out of hours service was good.
I found it helpful to check the portal daily and keep any eye on what was happening so I could get involved if necessary.

Home Care came to look after me, when I came home after 4 weeks in a hospital and 5 weeks in a care home. I was able to use a Zimmer frame but not to bend down or do anything which might damage the fractured bones in my hip. The carers looked after me and made me feel comfortable being back at home.
They were all very friendly and made good contact with me. The effect of their looking after me has made my healing good, and I'm hoping to be able to walk on my own soon!

I have previously engaged Home Instead Oldham (who are outstanding) so I have a good understanding of how the company operates. We have recently appointed Home Instead Stockport to provide support my 92 year old mother in Law. I have found all the staff from the Onboarding team, the Home Helpers and
the Frist Impressions team to be excellent. At all times we have been treated with respect and dignity and all the staff my mother-in-law has had dealings with have been very polite, courteous and caring, and the communication is very good. My dealings with the management in the Accounts department has been limited to emails rather than voice calls and the experience is more of transactional event. In terms of value for money it comes down to affordability and personal budget. Generally, I feel that the fees are at the top end of what one might expect to pay, but you get what you pay for, and on balance I believe that is worth stretching your budget accordingly if you are able.

All carers very friendly , my mother really enjoys their company and they engage with her .the office is always happy to take calls and add any additional instructions as needed.If they have any concerns they always contact myself or my sister straight away.

Home Instead have been a very welcome and successful addition to the family, helping out my mum and dad who have various ailments between them. While my parents were anxious to begin with, the carers have been a huge success and I think they would struggle without them now. The whole process has been
effortless from the minute I made the initial enquiry and the Manager set everything up for us. She is an absolute pleasure to deal with along with the rest of the ladies in the office whenever we have called or emailed. Very responsive, friendly and put everyone at ease. My parents get on well with the two carers that visit them in the week. We recently met the lady who will be taking over as lead manager and she was equally as lovely and reassuring. The experience so far has been fantastic and I particularly like checking the notes the carers leave after each visit on the app as it's reassuring.

When my wife and I contacted Home Instead, we were looking for an organisation which supplied carers who were sympathetic, efficient and caring. This we found in Home Instead. Another very good point is only one or two carers are allocated to a resident, this makes for continuity and building up of
a good relationship between carer and client.

From the initial assessment I was very pleased with the service that was explained to me.
I am happy with the care that my uncle is currently receiving, the carers are very professional and at the same time very friendly and caring towards my 98 year old uncle.

3 staff members in particular have all looked after my great aunt over the past 2 months and I can't thank them enough for how amazing they have been with her. They've done so well that my aunt is now ready to live independently again.

Carers always arrive on time and are very caring with my husband. Never rush him, and nothing phases them. They are friendly and helpful on all fronts and leave everywhere clean and tidy.
Highly recommended from the first visit by one lady to the setting up of the care plan - very efficient and helpful.

I have only recently decided my mum needed a bit more help around the home.
Home Instead Stockport have been fantastic at providing friendly, caring help for my mum and so professionally executed from the moment I contacted them!
We are very pleased with the outcome so far and I can honestly say my
mum is so happy to have that extra help and definitely enjoys the companionship and cup of tea with the lovely lady that comes each week.

My mum has been struggling with extreme pain, confusion and low mood. She is classed as having capacity and can still cope with living alone. Home Instead has offered support that I can’t offer, so it has been wonderful. She has improved a great deal because she hadn’t been using the medication correctly.
Now with their help, she is. She loves her visits and although she was reluctant at first, she’s now so grateful when the carer comes. They make sure the creams and ointments are applied appropriately which my mum has not been able to do. We are so grateful. The office staff have been accommodating too, ensuring the offer of support was the most beneficial arrangement.

My Mum receives fantastic care from her two carers each week. She really looks forward to each visit which from the family’s point of view, is really important. The girls do an amazing job of ensuring the house is kept really clean and tidy, making sure mum has lunch and lots of chats and they also
go out for walks around the local villages which mum loves. Our manager is also very supportive and we have regular contact - response time is always immediate and extremely friendly and courteous.


Mum can be very difficult at times so it’s important to us that that she is as relaxed and as happy as possible. The service has provided this 100% to the point we have recently requested increased visits.

We urgently needed care services for our 93-year-old relative and living abroad this is a difficult situation to handle. Contacted Home Instead and immediately after our first meeting we felt very satisfied and comfortable with the services being offered. Unfortunately, the health situation of our relative
demanded increased service immediately. Upgrading our initial request from one hour every two days to three one-hour visits per day! Home Instead was able to meet our requirements almost immediately and we have been delighted with the service, not only from the organisation side but also all the carers are very friendly and our relative has got used to them all. More than anything, we have access to an app which allows us to read the report from every carer after every visit, every day. So we are completely aware from abroad how our relative is being cared for. This is easy, keeps us completely updated and is very reassuring.
The entire service are highly recommendable.
