The entire service are highly recommendable.
First-class care in difficult circumstances. Reliable, friendly carers backed up by an efficient, effective office. I have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead as an alternative to a care home. Many thanks on behalf of my mother to all the staff involved in her care.
Home Instead has provided excellent care for my mother until she had to go into a nursing home aged 103. The carers were kind and considerate. It made it possible for my mother to remain in her own home for a long time.
I needed some care sorting out at very short notice following surgery at the hospital in March. A member of staff came to see me at the hospital and I had a support package in place three days later. I had the same carers to support me and in particular one staff member who supported me from my first session showed me nothing but compassion and nothing was too much trouble. I also received support from another towards the latter part of my package, again a truly kind and lovely lady. The carers worked hard to ensure my needs were met. It is a wonderful company with staff who offer the greatest of care and support. I would have no hesitation recommending them.
We were looking for daily care visits for my wife’s sister to enable her to continue to live an independent life in her own home. From the first assessment meeting with a member of the company's office staff, which took place in my sister in laws house, I was certain that we had chosen the right provider, and this feeling has been born out by the care provided over the last 5 months. All the carers involved in the daily visits put the word ‘care’ into their visits in a way that shines out in the notes that I am able to see using the brilliant app. I am able to use it to assure ourselves that all is well. The office is also very proactive in flagging up any issues that occur other than the routine care needs agreed in the plan, such as accompanied medical appointments etc. In summary, we couldn’t be happier with our choice of care provider.
Recently it has become apparent she requires assistance in many areas of her day to day life.
Our regular carer has been brilliant and reassuring building a friendship with my mum.

I had to explain our requirements to three different individuals, which felt repetitive and inefficient. The first person failed to submit the paperwork, requiring another staff member to fix the mistake. However, I still had to explain everything again when the carer arrived. This lack of coordination was disappointing. Additionally, I paid a £175 setup fee but felt like I did most of the work myself. When I raised my concerns, I received an abrupt email without apology or compensation.
On a positive note, I appreciated their proactive response when the paperwork was lost. They contacted me promptly, resolving the issue and ensuring my uncle wasn't left without care. While my uncle's positive feedback is crucial, the lack of smooth communication and customer service dampened my experience. Improvement is needed in these areas.

Home Instead
Home Instead has been wonderful with my partner. He likes the two carers that visit him four days a week. They have got him helping to make his sandwich now, which the previous company struggled to do. They support him with his speech and exercise practice and are always positive even when my partner refuses to do his practice. I would highly recommend them.
I have been a client of Home Instead for 11 years. It has been a hard year for everyone, they have excelled themselves under good management to deliver good care under such challenging times. The carers are always polite and respectful. They were fully equipped during the pandemic, and are very good at washing their hands, changing gloves several times whilst they are here. They are reliable and on time as well, the carers have not missed a call during this Covid year, and are very protective. The office is supportive. There is a person in charge of your package, who is there to answer any questions. The rest of the staff are very helpful. Whatever request you make, they will make every effort to sort out your problem. During Covid, companionship has been different. Previously, we visited the cinema and garden centre - this year we have had walks alone, crosswords, jigsaw puzzles. Excellent companionship in all. Home Instead has been invaluable during this Covid year.

Home Instead have always tried to do what I asked of them. To give my mother who is 89 and has advanced dementia the same carer every day. So she gets used to seeing the same person every day and they do a very good job. Which makes my life a lot easier.

Very high standard of care- reliable and individual approach. We were especially impressed when myself and my husband had Covid, the carers continued with my mother in law's care, meaning that she had minimal exposure to the virus so that although she did test positive she was not significantly unwell which, given her age and health problems, was a miracle. Thank you.

I find the service excellent it is a privilege to have the CAREGivers in my home, they take the time to understand what I need, want and more importantly they remember this. It is very much like having a friend coming in to visit me. Home Instead are the only people in my house due to COVID-19 and it is nice to still have people in the house to have a chat too. I wouldn't expect I would get this service from any other care provider. Everything is excellent!
