My mum started with just a weekly visit from Home Instead as she was very wary of having anyone come in. She found she loved the extra help and as she became more frail we increased the visits to one per day. The carers built up excellent relationships with her. She liked just having a few carers and trusted them like family. Recently she needed 3 visits a day at short notice and Home Instead juggled everything to make this happen. Sadly she has now had to go into a nursing home as she needed care at night too, but we will always be grateful to the carers at Home Instead who really did care.
Knowing that my Mum was supported in her own home by such compassionate and dedicated carers made an enormous difference to us all. Your staff consistently treated her with dignity, patience and genuine warmth, helping her to remain comfortable in familiar surroundings for as long as possible.
I am especially grateful to the individual carers who built such a trusting and caring relationship with her. Their kindness and empathy did not go unnoticed, and I know my Mum felt secure and cared for because of them.
You have have supported our family with professionalism, compassion and humanity, and we will always be grateful for the role you played in her care.

My aunt has been extremely happy with the carers who have supported her to stay at home. She had a very good rapport with each cater and nothing was too much trouble for them. She was very happy as they always arrived on time and never let her down. Overall we are extremely satisfied with the efficiency of the care agency in setting up care at home and delivery was superb.
All staff are helpful and understanding. Care is excellent - very helpful and proactive in the best possible way. Always bright and cheerful.
I find the ownership and management of the company excellent in that they are attentive to me personally and amenable to needs and adjustments on demand as necessary.

Due to previous experience with other companies. I came across Home Instead (Welwyn & Hatfield) which exceed themselves, especially management. A few hiccups with staff where management were very approachable and sorts problems out very quickly.

I received personal care and help with some household tasks for a few weeks. I was very pleased indeed with the help your staff gave me. They were always kind and helpful, doing what I needed. Protective of my arm, they were very "professional" and helped me through a difficult time.

Friendly. Communications are good with client. Some would occasionally offer to do other jobs, eg, putting clothes away, dusting, hoovering.
My aunt has been using the Home Instead service for the past four months and I can honestly say that we are amazed how accepting she has been with this huge change in her life. There is one reason for that and it’s the care and attention she receives from the carers that visit her on a daily basis and the efficiency and professionalism of the team behind the scenes. We, the family, live approximately four hours away so it was very important to us that the service provided gives us the reassurance of my aunt not only being looked after but also allowing her to live at home for as long as possible.
Wonderful company. The caregivers and office staff have been exceptional with dealing with my grandmother's needs. I would and have highly recommended Home Instead Senior Care to my friends.
My only bugbear is that I understand that the charges are far higher for bank holidays, but that the staff do not get extra pay for these. They work so hard that I think this should be changed.
Over Bank Holidays we really appreciate our CAREGivers spending their time to visit our clients, so ever since our opening in 2011, they have all received double pay for every call they work which is the case with most care providers.

We are very pleased with Home Instead and cannot praise them highly enough. I am confident that the carers they send to see my mother on a regular basis know what they are doing and are all very friendly, caring and reliable. My mother enjoys her daily visits and we know that she is in good hands. Thank you very much!
I was impressed with the carer we had on a short term basis and that the same person came each day. This was very important as my mother has Alzheimer’s.
I was, however, very surprised at the cost. The hourly rate was more than our other agency carer and much more than our private carer.
The service offered by Home Instead is absolutely amazing. The care for my 98-year-old father living on his own, 120 miles away from me is such that I do not worry about him at all and can ring them at any time to request further visits or to see to any medical issues. Recently, he has had a few hospital visits incurring long hours by the carer in the waiting room and treatment rooms without much respite or any breaks. They take him to the shops and help in the home with light cleaning, laundry and changing sheets. So far, he is quite capable of making his own meals and getting up, washing and dressing, but I have no doubt that they would cover this should the need arise. They also ensure that his medication is collected from the local chemist. We have had two previous care companies and the outrageous charges and lack of care made it essential for us to change. This change has proved to be a huge success and my father is very happy and comfortable indeed.
