Home Instead (Aylesbury Vale) provides support ranging from companionship and home help to personal care to assist people to remain independent in their homes whilst maintaining a good quality of life. Specialist dementia support is also provided.

The office team works closely with each Care Professional to ensure all members are confident and competent in delivering high-quality care, and compliance to Home Instead standards, whether they are new to the industry or have already built a career.

Home Instead are very selective about who they recruit, and only employ Care Professionals after a full DBS check and six references. Each applicant spends five days with various members of the team to ensure they share the same values and ethics as the company and therefore will fit well within the company culture.

Personal and professional development is continually available to all staff to enable the development of skills and progress within the Health and Social Care sector including studying to diploma and beyond or becoming a specialist within the field of dementia.

I did have a regular lady visit but when she left I was worried about who would come next. I needn't have as they sent me a lovely person who I get on well with and she does what she needs to do to a satisfactory standard. I cant complain and she always feeds the birds for me.

My name is Fay Sinclair and I have been working in the care sector since 1998. Over these years I have gained knowledge and experience working in many different areas of care such as child welfare, Residential care, and working with people living with dementia. I love to care for individuals in our community by supporting them and encouraging them to live happily in their own homes. My passion for care in the community informed my decision to permanently move to Domiciliary care in 2003.


I joined Home Instead Aylesbury Vale and North East Oxfordshire in May 2020 as a Senior Care Professional. The values and beliefs held by Home Instead, particularly those in supporting individuals in our local community and offering truly person-centred care represent what I stand for. This enables me to thoroughly enjoy my job on a daily basis. Home Instead is where I have decided I want to grow my career as quality is never compromised and the team are highly professional in everything that they do.


Since joining Home Instead, my professional journey has developed as I quickly achieved moving into a Team Leader role and then onto being the Deputy Care Manager. The company have fully supported my professional development through sitting a Level 3 in Health and Social Care through this part of my journey.
In the summer of 2022, I started feeling that I could do more and set my sights on becoming the Care Manager. The owners have fully supported my ambition and my studies for Level 5 in Health and Social Care. In doing so I have stepped into my current role as a Care Manager. There is a lot to learn but one of the things I’ve learnt by being at Home Instead is that we are always learning. If it’s not learning something new then it’s learning to improve.


I can’t express how happy I am doing what I do with Home Instead but I can say that I’m very excited and looking forward to a continued career with Home Instead.

My name is Julia, and I joined the Home Instead family in August 2020 as a Care Professional. I didn’t think that I could start afresh with a new career but having worked with Home Instead and realising that the owners were very supportive of development, I started considering building my career here.


Since joining, I’ve been fully supported to complete my Level 2 in Health and Social Care and have more recently started my Level 3 in Health and Social Care. I’ve also successfully been promoted to a Senior Care Professional role. I am very proud of my achievements and am very happy to be working with an organisation that puts client care at the heart of what we do. I really enjoy what I do. I love providing hands-on care in the community and supporting our Care Professionals in doing their fantastic work.


I used to work with children so providing care to a different age group was completely new to me. Home Instead taught me how to help and support individuals in the community in a way that enhances their quality of life. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work with great clients and amazing colleagues, and I am excited about my future with Home Instead.
