I have found almost all of my carers to be efficient, friendly and caring, taking into consideration also my husband falling. I mostly get the time slots I like, but mostly adjust times if possible. Most carers go above and beyond what is needed.

I would like to see more female carers. Overall my care is very good. Few carers that need more training on hearing impaired and deaf clients. More training on diabetic awareness and what to do if a client has low blood sugar needs to be done. Other wise most of my carers treat me with respect, care, dignity and are great.

Horrendous!
Left my friend feeling very low and unsafe due to the lack of care and respect for him.
I am disgusted at how vile this company are and Nonto the manager was like a chocolate firegaurd.
She wouldn't even know how organise a pack of cards, never mind a business!

Avoid at all costs!

As a general rule we are very happy with the service my uncle receives from HOMECARE. He likes the young ladies coming because he says they know what to do and do it well. He says the men who come are good but they can't get down on the floor and he has to elevate his legs which is difficult for him because of the spondylitis in his neck.

I think at one point we were having a problem because the evening call was getting too late. He doesn't like unlocking his door late at night and indeed I've told him to keep his door locked as he is vulnerable.

All the ladies and men that attend to help my dad shower are lovely and well mannered and enjoy having a 'laugh' with my dad.

The only issue we seem to have is the time that he is sometimes booked in for. I know sometimes it can't be helped when people have phoned in sick but it's not good when he has to sit in his dressing gown till 10.30/11.00 waiting to have his shower.

I do apologise for my mum ringing up to complain about the times, they seem to forget there must be lots of people to sort.

I just wanted those of you who are looking for home cares to know just how good CHOICES HOMECARE are.

My wife had to go into care whilst I was in hospital, following this it was decided that we needed care for my wife, simply because I was no longer well enough to give her the care she needs,

Choices Homecare was recommended to us by the care home my wife was in, and also by the Social Services,

They have been caring for my wife 3/4 per day since the end of MAY 2025, and are still doing so, my wife has terminal cancer plus a incontinence problem and also a stoma, she has been confined to bed for a few years now

She is washed daily, clothing/underware/bedding all changed as and when required, sometimes more than once a day,

The care and attention given by all of carers who attend to Mary is second to none, I would fully recommend Choices Homecare to anyone.

At first their fee's were met by S/S, we now have to pay for their services, but don't care, they are worth every penny

So far my mum's only needed carers twice a week for showering. The carers have changed from normal routines to accommodate her needs on different days. They always ask is she needs anything else and let me know if there's any change in her condition or needs anything to make her comfortable. One carer in particular has gone above and beyond to get her doctors appointments when she couldn't get one, made sure she had barrier spray and anything else she needs. I am very grateful to have carers who genuinely care about both me and my mother.

I am very pleased with all the carers. I am disappointed lately keep getting different times and not regular carers. All of a sudden they changed it, it was fine in the beginning. I was annoyed on Saturday 29th March I didn't get anyone at teatime, they rang my friend to come, this was wrong because she doesn't get paid by Choices.

I find that the carers mainly very good, but the person responsible for scheduling the carer times of visiting clients is totally wrong my carers come mainly nearer the time that they should come but at weekends sometimes hit and miss or I don't get any carers at all without warning that they are not coming or rescheduled and replace a carer that was supposed to have come but changed it without me knowing who I am going to get. It seams that this scheduler should come and see for himself on what mess he is doing to us clients schedules and also the carers too, if he don't then it's just going to get worse.

Happy regarding the care my mum is receiving. Choices Homecare have provided my mum with a few regular carers which has enabled them to know my mums needs, her ways and likes and dislikes therefore providing continuation and good standard of care and developing a good professional relationship with mum. Occasionally carers who are not so familiar with my mum have difficulty identifying her memory loss/dementia which could affect. The carers do not hesitate to inform me if there are any issues with um and management always available for my to contact by email or phone always very helpful.

The carers that come to me are very understanding of my needs. They make me feel at ease and they treat me with respect and I feel I've still got my dignity. They talk to me the whole time they are here and we sometimes have a little joke and that makes my day. Don't know what I'd do without them.

Excellent service that we've had for something like a year now. Thank you to the manager who set the service up. Lovely, regular and well trained staff, so helpful to both my parents. We really have peace of mind, knowing my parents are so well cared for. Staff were so kind and helpful when my dad was in hospital looking after my mum. Excellent service, extremely pleased.
