In 2024, a local care home recommended Walfinch for a few months of care for my mum. Angela (Manager) organised for Charmaine to support mum day and night. Angela did a brilliant job working closely with Charmaine, and they both liaised between mum, GP, district nurses, and the family.
Charmaine is a fantastic carer, and lovely person, who built a trusting relationship with mum.
In May 2026, mum came out of hospital, and was delighted to have Charmaine back (and her colleague Jay for cover) for daily visits . C & J are happy to do what mum wants, so that mum can live independently, while feeling supported.
Robin (Deputy Manager) sends mum regular care schedules, showing which carer will come when. The carers are always on time (except for once, when mum was informed of a traffic delay.) Robin is extremely efficient, responsive, and a delight to deal with.
The Walfinch team have been exceptional. They have an intelligent, professional, supportive approach - they just "get it" !

Thank you for such a lovely review of Walfinch's services. It means a lot to see the detailed feedback on where Walfinch can support any individual to stay at home in their own safe environment. But also that their families can see the difference that we can make.
It is a pleasure to support your mother, and the care support team do say that they enjoy going over to see her.
