Following major spinal surgery, I unexpectedly needed support at home and was introduced to Right at Home Harrogate. Many people associate home care with elderly clients, but my circumstances were very different. I am a younger professional who moved directly into a new property after leaving hospital, meaning I was trying to establish a home whilst recovering from major surgery. The team provided practical support, reassurance and kindness at exactly the right time. Despite it being a Sunday, an urgent issue arose shortly after discharge and emergency overnight care was arranged at very short notice. Throughout, the response was calm, professional and solution-focused. What impressed me most was the standard of support. I have very high standards and could genuinely trust that tasks would be completed with the same care and attention to detail that I would have applied myself. That level of trust is exceptionally rare. Right at Home Harrogate felt like a lighthouse in a storm.

The level of care and support I have received from Right at home whilst going through some difficult events has been exemplary! I feel safe and comfortable around them. They have helped me with numerous things recently, I feel like they aren't just support workers/carers, but friends aswell.

Due to all the stress of trying to live through their constant extreme physical pain, without the proper support, my friend made a serious attempt on their life recently. Without Right at Home's consistent & genuine concern & help through this - and other disasters - I would probably have been sectioned and my lodger would certainly not be alive by now. Right at Home provided care for my mother after her hip surgery in February 2026. My mother has dementia and so struggles with her mental health. Veronica was very proactive with liaising with the hospital, understanding mums needs and recommending improvements to assist with mums daily routine. I soon became very comfortable with the way Veronica supported mum at home which gave me peace of mind. In addition, Veronica has been very great with her communication back to me on mums health and recovery progress which was fantastic as I live in Australia and struggle with visibility on day to day issues which arise.

Right at Home have supported my mother after a stay in hospital following an operation and continue to support my father who has advanced Dementia. I cannot praise them enough - nothing is too much trouble and without a doubt it is enabling my father to stay at home for as long as possible. The carers are kind, compassionate, supportive and genuinely support us as a family enormously. Care visits are well thought out to take into account my Dad's interests and likes and stimulate him both mentally and physically. Carers treat him with dignity and respect and make him feel listened to. They also work to help Mum in the home with household tasks and to enable her to have a break. They are incredibly flexible and always manage to accommodate any additional needs we may have. We were recommended Right at Home by a friend who used them for her parents and I'm so glad we found them. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Right at Home is one of the best at home care that I have come across. The staff are incredibly friendly and management are so easy to contact. Tessa and Veronica have been really helpful and so supportive for my dad, but also for us as well. I honestly could not have asked for better carers to look after my dad, and we can breathe easy knowing he has the best support out their.

Right at Home supported us for about a year, initially with daily care for my father, and for the past four months with live-in care. Throughout this time, I have been really pleased and impressed by the standard of care provided. The team always thinks from my father's perspective, focusing on what will make him comfortable and safe rather than simply what is most convenient. They adapt sensitively and professionally as his needs change, offering day to day support and guidance to help us plan ahead. Every carer we have met has been capable, compassionate and genuinely empathetic to my father's needs.

It came to a point where my friend needed help at home to live a comfortable life in his own home. He's 86 and getting to the point where help was needed so we engaged 'Right At Home' to start slowly a couple of days a week but now he's completely happy with the service and has visits twice a day every day for the foreseeable future. The carers are very knowledgeable and kind and have suggestions that we hadn't thought of. His main carer has been so helpful. I can thoroughly recommend this company.
