After initial teething problems all of our dealings with Right at Home have been very good. Our regular carers for Mum are all very nice and happy to help with whatever we have asked them to do. Right at Home have always tried to accommodate my mum's needs whatever they have been.
Reply from Anne Downey, Managing Director at Right at Home (Nottingham North)Thank you so much for your lovely review. We really appreciate your honesty and are so pleased to hear that things have gone well after the initial teething problems. It means a lot to know that Mums regular carers have been kind, helpful and supportive, and that weve been able to meet her needs. Thank you again for your trust and support.

Right at Home has been a huge help to our family while supporting my great grandmother.
My grandma has been caring for her own mum as her health has declined with dementia, mobility issues and other complications. Over time this has become very difficult and has taken a toll on her, as she can't commit
the same time and energy that she once could.
Most of the rest of the family also aren't local, so a lot of the responsibility has fallen on my grandma. Having Right at Home involved has made a real difference and helped ease some of that responsibility.
The carers are always kind, patient and very respectful towards my great grandmother, and it's clear they genuinely care about her wellbeing. Knowing she is being looked after properly and treated with dignity gives the family peace of mind, especially when we can't always be there ourselves.
We're very grateful for the support they provide and would happily recommend them to families looking for help caring for an elderly loved one.
Reply from Anne Downey, Managing Director at Right at Home (Nottingham North)Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. It really means a lot to us. We know how challenging it can be to support a loved one as their needs change, and it's clear how much care your own family has given. We're so pleased we've been able to help ease some of that responsibility and provide reassurance along the way. It is an absolute pleasure to support your great grandmother, and our team genuinely enjoy spending time with her. I will be sure to share your feedback with her carers who will appreciate it. Thank you again for your kind words and for trusting us to be part of your great grandmother's care.

RightAtHome Nottingham North has been supporting my parents since August 2023 - we started a gradual introduction of just 1 hour a week to get them used to having some help and to start building a relationship with RAH. Mum's dementia was starting to have a big impact and caring for her was becoming
too much for us - we recognised we would need help but mum and dad were very resistant.
RAH support has gradually increased over the last 30 months and the management team has worked in close partnership with us to really understand what support we want, going to great lengths to match suitable caregivers with mum and dad and we have an ongoing dialogue to make sure things work smoothly. They provide personalised, kind, patient, professional, respectful and excellent care, enabling mum and dad to be as independent as possible whilst keeping them safe, well, clean and nourished, so we could step back and be daughters again, not carers - and RAH are part of our family now, thank you.
Reply from Anne Downey, Managing Director at Right at Home (Nottingham North)Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. Your review mean a great deal to the whole team. It has been a privilege to support your parents since August 2023 and to work alongside you during what we know have sometimes been challenging and emotional periods. We are so happy that you trusted us to take that gradual, relationship-led approach to support your wonderful mum and dad. Knowing that our support has helped your parents remain as independent as possible, while allowing you to step back into being daughters rather than carers, is exactly why we do what we do. Your whole family has become very important to us, and we are grateful to be considered part of it. Thank you

My Dad has care visits twice a day to help my Mum with the daily tasks such as bathing, and changing bedsheets etc. From day one, the care was completely different from the other two care companies we have used previously, where Dad was just a number. They wanted to know all about my Dad as a person
- his hobbies and interests - which meant the carers always have something to chat to Mum and Dad about. It feels like Dad is truly cared about by everyone that visits him, and by the management team. They have done everything they can to learn about Dad's additional requirements and his Parkinson's-specific symptoms. They also go the extra mile sharing time schedules so Mum and Dad know exactly when they will be visiting each day. A very well managed and organised, and really caring company, I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
Reply from Anne Downey, Managing Director at Right at Home (Nottingham North)Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. It truly means a great deal to us. We're so pleased to hear that your Dad's care has felt personal and genuinely caring from day one. Getting to know the people we support as individuals - their interests, routines, and what matters most to them - is something we believe is essential, and it's wonderful to know this has made a positive difference for both your Mum and Dad. Your kind words about our carers and management team will be shared with everyone involved. Thank you again for your recommendation and for trusting us to support your family. It's a privilege to be part of your Dad's care.

I would like to drop you a line to say a very big thank you for the wonderful care I received after my shoulder replacement surgery.
Everyone of the girls that looked after me at this difficult time were kind, caring, amazingly competent and patient.
Especial thank you to Paula who was faced with
an extremely unpleasant emergency situation when she discovered me covered in blood and bleeding heavily from my wound and nose. Not what she was expecting. I could not have coped without her, and her other visits. Ruth

This company looked after my aunty during the day whilst I was at work, and I couldn't be more grateful. She told me the staff were kind, caring, and made her feel well looked after. They were very professional and attentive to her needs, which gave me great peace of mind knowing she was in safe hands.
I would highly recommend their services

I have already submitted a review of this company due to the amount of repetitive issues being located. Many chances were given and I was willing them to succeed. However, issues and concerns were still being located, with poor responses from some of the managerial team, which was very disappointing.
Needless to say the correct decision was made to replace Right at Home Nottingham North as they did not change. I still stand by my opinion that there were some good carers that came, though there are clear failings that need resolve and better monitoring. This was a 3 at best on my last review. However, due to failing again, I would give them a 2 in the hope of improvement.
Reply from Anne Downey, Managing Director at Right at Home (Nottingham North)Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. Our carers always strive to go above and beyond to support clients, and during our time with your neighbour, her wellbeing was always our priority. It is important to note that she often expressed to us that she valued the support we provided and did not wish for it to end. We respect your perspective, and our focus will always remain on ensuring every person we care for is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. We will continue to listen, learn, and improve, so that families can have confidence their loved ones are in safe and caring hands.

After breaking my wrist on 10th May, 2025, later sustaining 'shock', the manager and her team of eight arrived. They were with me for twelve weeks, with patience and skilful caring, each and every one of them contributed to restoring my health and confidence. I will be forever grateful to them for enabling
my small dachshund (Willow) and me to enjoy once more our day walks and our joy in living.
Their manager was always so calm and kind, setting a wonderful example for her team. She treated them so well. They cared for Willpw as well as for me.
Reply from Julie Tansley, Director at Right at Home Nottingham (South)This is an amazing review - our team are so touched with your kind words and that you are doing so well. We are also thrilled that we are still able to support you both with escorted outings. Thank you so much!

The standard of care received by my sister was exceptional. The staff made sure all if her needs were met. Over the course of one week two different carers were assigned to her. They were both friendly and competent, going above and beyond my expectations. I will definitely be using them again and highly

After speaking to three care companies, we decided to put our trust in Right At Home.
So pleased we did. My Mum, who has dementia, has received and continues to receive the best care, delivered by some amazing carers. She is happy to see them and enjoys their visits. Believe me, if that wasn't the
case, she would let me know; there would be signs!
I can access carer notes to see what Mum has eaten, that medication has been administered without problems and how she seems in herself. Any concerns are raised with me immediately. Managers are always available and approachable and go out of their way to accommodate any last-minute requests. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but they provide a great service and most importantly, my Mum is happy. Would highly recommend.
Reply from Anne Downey, Managing Director at Right at Home (Nottingham North)Thank you so much for taking the time to share this wonderful feedback. We are truly grateful for your kind words and are very pleased to hear that your mum is receiving the best care from our team. I will be sure to share your review with the carers, as they genuinely love supporting your mum and ensuring her well-being. It's lovely to know that you are happy with the level of communication, care, and support provided. We are always here to ensure that you and your mum feel confident and comfortable with the service. Thank you again for your trust and for recommending us. We truly appreciate it.

Never consider taking live in care or Carers. Managers not supportive. Poor delivery of care. Carers not giving training standards. Poor quality of care. Carers on the phone no interaction with client. Cost for live in care very high.
Reply from Anne Downey, Managing Director at Right at Home (Nottingham North)We are saddened by your review, as we contacted you on your return and no issues were raised. We take all feedback seriously and want to address your points. Prior to the placement, we had many conversations to ensure everything was clear. The carer arrived a day early to familiarise herself with routines and during the placement daily unannounced visits were made by me and our Manager to check on the wellbeing of your loved one and our carer. Each time he was well supported and expressed satisfaction with the care. Our carer was engaged in regular conversations and activities, such as word search games, and was invited to stay an additional night upon your return, suggesting your satisfaction. The cost was based on comparisons you provided and followed months of satisfactory care. We are proud of the high level of training our carers receive and regret we couldn't discuss these concerns directly. We remain open to further conversation and are always committed to improving our service.

I have been very pleased with Right at Home from the begining. This last week we have moved home. Our new property had been standing empty for some time and needed a good clean and dust. looks absolutely fantastic. Thank you Right at Home Nottingham South. All the team have been super helpful.
