My first contact with Right at Home Colchester began in May 2025 and continues to this day.


My mum began struggling with her mobility and after losing my stepdad during Covid was at times lonely. We met with Kath who suggested we try some companionship visits which we did do and they worked out

really well. As time passed these visits developed into trips out for coffee and some food shopping along with light housework, medical appointments and even dog walking!


As mum's mobility worsened and after several falls we were also advised by our GP of cognitive decline and RAH supported us through this period. Mum became muddled and stressed with her condition and eventually we decided she would be safer in a care home.


RAH visit mum weekly in the care home and also take her out for drives and coffee stops which she loves!


There have been many times along our journey with mum where I have needed advice, support and sometimes just a listening hear and RAH have always been there.

I am so happy with the care from Right At Home, it gave me a great deal of peace of mind whilst I was away, especially I was able to read the daily reports into my Mum's care knowing all was ok. The girls who looked after my Mum gave an exceptional service. When I came home my Mum was very happy, she
said the girls were so lovely and caring, she felt she had known them for a long time, even though it was only for a short respite care. Thank you to every one who gave such an excellence service. I would definitely recommend Right at Home.

Mum needed care after her stroke in July 2023, I was so thankful to have found Right at Home, who provide consistent care at consistent times, which was so important to mum when she lost her independence. Felt very thankful to them as her daughter, as I knew there were carers who could provide the support
and care she needed. The carers often went above and beyond for mum particularly when things got really tough for her. She would often looked forward to their visits. I would highly recommend Right at Home BS if you are looking for care for a loved one.

Right at home have looked after my Dad with great care and affection.
At a difficult time, they were extremely helpful and put in the extra hours of care, with such short notice.
The staff are all very kind and professional towards the care of my Dad, he says he is very happy with all of them and
enjoys their company.
The staff have never let us down and are always helpful if there is a problem.
Thank you all so much, we couldn't have managed without your incredible help and genuine care.

How these lovely people keep so cheerful, I do not know - they brighten up the day!
They are willing and conscious without overstepping the mark and are very respectful of my home and appear happy to help me keep it clean and tidy, clearing everything away for me.
My personal care is carried out
discreetly, only helping when it is needed, giving me confidence with their presence, and it is always nice to have a chat.

So glad we switched to Right at Home. Their communications with us, other care professionals and each other are excellent. Every member of staff that I have spoken to has been considerate and kind. They are always happy to answer my questions or to take the initiative when information needs to be shared
between organisations. This has enabled everyone to adapt quickly and efficiently to the changes in Mum's condition. They treat Mum with care and respect and have been proactive with suggestions to help with her comfort and needs as her dementia progresses. The carers are always punctual and it is lovely to read in their notes that Mum has laughed or chatted with them on her better days. I would definitely recommend Right at Home to anyone who is looking for care of a loved one. Many thanks to everyone at Right at Home.

Right at Home have helped me in many ways to care for mum at home. The office staff are always helpful and the carers care for mum with dignity, mum is very happy with her care which puts my mind at rest, R at h are always there for me and I cannot fault their service.

Such a pleasure to have a team of kind, caring people to help with my elderly mother as she dealt with a decline into dementia. The professionalism of the care provider was without compare and they were supportive and kind to us all. I would not hesitate to recommend Right at Home to anyone looking

The team are excellent carers, friendly, accommodating and wonderful with Mum,
they ensure all her care needs are met, the office staff are efficient and always answer any queries quickly. they have been looking after mum and her cat Tabby for a couple of years
