I very much appreciated Helping Hands coming to help me after I had left hospital. All of the staff were unfailingly kind and helpful and I enjoyed chatting to them as they did the tasks that I asked them to do. They helped me to shower and breakfast and do a few chores like putting on the washing and then helped prepare and cook meals and clear up throughout the day. The staff in the office were very responsive and helpful too.

Mum is always happy to see her carers , they vary in ages which means some are chattier than others . But on the whole it's always a good visit . She's of old school and likes punctuality, but this can't always be guaranteed due to previous clients visit and or problems and traffic conditions . Mum always has plenty to say and is not afraid of asking for anything she needs doing or has concerns .

Helping Hands have provided respite care for my 99 year old mother for over a year. The carers have always been friendly and kind and happy to help my mother with whatever is needed. They are reliable and she looks forward to seeing them.

The manager Leah has visited her in her home twice and I feel reassured that she understands her needs well. She always respondd quickly.to my emails.

I have been with helping hands for 2 years now. I have always felt the carers to be friendly, professional, supportive and polite.
They never miss any calls and should there be any changes to your visit they will let you know.

I am very happy with my care and would definitely recommend Helping hands.

It is always a difficult decision to bring in care for a loved one, when for so long they have been totally independant. But, we are so glad we did. The change in my Mum since having a small amount of care has been amazing. She looks forwards to their visits which I never thought would happen. The support team at the Shirehampton office were so understanding and supported me in making the first steps. We started with a small amount and gradually built it up. What we discovered was that Mum really liked one on one care, not everyone wants to go to day centres with lots of people, some people like the undivided attention which she gets from the lovely ladies who support her each week. They are fantastic, kind, considerate, caring, extremely practical and intuitive. What I find invaluable is at the end of each visit , I can read how it went on the Helping Hands portal. It has helped me make decisions on what works and what would suit going forward. I cannot thank the team enough.

Regular visits are very helpful and it's good to have a team of carers who get to know me and are happy to do the jobs and also spend time with me for a chat. When I need assistance with appointments and errands these are fitted in so I am able to cope safely with them. My self confidence is reviving! The carers report any little changes so they know how to look after me and my home. I am happy with their care and recommend the company.

Helping Hands Bristol have been absolutely superb in caring for my father and previously my step mother as well - Nothing was ever too much trouble - Often carers went well beyond the line of duty to ensure that my Dad was in safe hands and tended to even when this care was needed outside normal hours.

Carers were prompt in their arrival times at Dad's house (unless totally unavoidable) and although several carers attended to Dad through the week, there was sufficiently few that Dad got to know them all - a variety of care added to his interest - all were lovely people

Carers have been kind, patient and cheerful helping me to start the day on a positive note. They have arrived promptly at planned times which helps to calm any anxiety about waiting too long. They are always smartly dressed and take care to use protective gloves and aprons.

Their care for me has been a great support for my husband at the beginning of the day.

We have always found service to be highly professional and caring over the last 2 years in dealing with the needs of my Mother who has just passed her 100th birthday. What is impressive is that not only have the allocated carers shown a high level of consistency but that in the event of an incident the back-up assistance from the office has always been available and often ready to attend at short notice to offer the necessary additional assistance even out of hours. There has also been a flexibility amongst the staff to adapt to the changes in my Mothers needs over the last 24 months. Finally there can be no doubt that the fact that certain of the carers have been consistently caring for my Mother for the last 2 years she has developed a bond with them which assists not only in provision of the service to meet her physical needs (eradicating any trauma which she may experience from constantly changing staff) but aids her mental well being as she has forged relationships.
