We used the team for Mum in the summer of 2024 for a couple of months, she loved all the girls who came in.
Have started using them again and have been so pleased by the speed they have put together a team for us.
Mum has been delighted, feels safe and has enjoyed the chit chat. They have agreed
to take her her do some shopping each week now too so, as a family, we are delighted she is in such good hands. Takes the pressure off us as we are out of town and cant get there every week.

From the first phone call to Mums care plan becoming active, I found all the staff friendly, knowledgeable & reassuring. Mum has found the process comforting & stress free which is great considering her early Alzheimer's. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this company.

I contacted the Helping Hands branch manager to resolve the ongoing care issue. Branch manager handled the problem very well, which was impressive. She resolved the issue promptly with care and compassion. The most important thing for me was that she listened to what the family had to say.
Been with
Helping Hand for almost 25 years and never had a bad word to say. They are a very good care provider who looks after your loved one with the right attitude and care, and they are open to all needs.
Highly recommended to everyone.

Helping Hands supply me with a shower nurse once a week, which means I can shower safely and helps me to dress. In addition, she may change the sheets, hang up the towels to dry and make me a cup of tea.

For 3-4 years, I have had difficulty getting my wife (with dementia) to clean and wash, and she refused to let me help her. I tried everything and everywhere and was at my wits' end when I employed Helping Hands to deal with it. Their response was fast and professional, and after an efficient needs
assessment and initial visits to establish relations, two of their carers were able to get my wife up, showered, groomed and dressed. My wife loved it, was very pleased and full of praise. This changed my life overnight, lifted a dark cloud, and I now feel I can cope and get some life back. I can thoroughly recommend Helping Hands without reservation. It has also revived my wife's self-esteem.

My mum has been receiving care from Helping Hands, Bromsgrove for just under 4 years. They have become part of our family and mum looks forward to seeing the carers every morning and evening...and other times when necessary. I have spinal problems and when I am unable to help mum or attend appointments,
I have no problem in asking Helping Hands to step in. Many of the carers have built up a friendship with mum and are interested in looking after her both physically and emotionally. When dealing with certain situations the carers have gone above and beyond to make sure mum is happy and comfortable.
For me personally, I feel supported and talk openly with Management about any problems and have found them to be friendly, caring and interested..... and every now and again, have time for a good laugh :)

Sometimes in life, we just need a helping hand! As a recently permanently disabled lady, I am still just about in control of my life, but sometimes even I need a bit of help, especially when I broke my shoulder, so I treated myself to helping hands (There are no pockets in a shroud!), who were recommended
by the council.
What I particularly like is they will take over as much as you want/don't want them to. Only someone with the need for care will understand and treasure the difference. They put the client's preferences at the centre. When life has robbed you of so much, we can still be involved in our care (and this brings the best results).
There are lots of care agencies out there. LOTS of dying to take over. At H/H, everyone has been clean and punctual. In two years, only one set of sweaty armpits (I worked her too hard LOL! They won't control, they will care (fine line)).
It has been one of the best decisions I have EVER made.
Thank you to all the staff/friends at Helping Hands.

In general the company is very user friendly and all of the carers are both well trained and knowledgeable. They show a great deal of respect, understanding and empathy whenever they carry out my personal care duties. The only problem we have encountered has been the failure of an overnight carer to
attend, whilst my wife was away on family business. Late changes to carers rostered to provide my care appointments needs to be addressed.

Overall, a very good care provider, with a set of well trained and very professional carers that daily attend to my needs. I would have no hesitation in recommending Helping Hands to other prospective clients.

Helping Hands are a very good care company. The carers are excellent. Generally the office and administration are very good but sometimes communication with the client can be lacking.

A particular staff member and the team at Helping Hands Home Care (Worcester) cared for and looked out for our lovely Mum so diligently in her last few months before she passed away in June 2024.

The attention to detail, kindness and professionalism was unfaltering. Mum really loved and enjoyed

seeing her carers and that meant a lot to us when we couldn't be there - they were very much the eyes on the ground, the friends, the alarm-raisers when needed. We were fortunate to see how they interacted with her and how much joy she had interacting with them.

My sister and I have so much respect for the Helping Hands Home Care (Worcester) team who rode the difficult end-of-life journey with Mum and us.

We will always be thankful for the kindness, compassion and care they always showed to Mum and for their understanding and communication with my sister and I when it mattered most to ensure Mum had, despite the challenges she faced, the dignity she deserved at the end of her life. Thank you so very much.

In general, the carers that attend to mum provide the agreed care required, are kind and courteous to mum. They are usually on time and if there is any problem I am contacted by the office. I appreciate if there is a shortage of staff that times and carers need to be adjusted however sometimes the time
slots are not within the agreed call times. The following week carer list is sent quite late on a Friday so if there are any queries you can't get hold of the local office and the out of hours team cannot help. Mum is very appreciative of the support she receives and seems to get on well with them all.

This is a review about the service my father received from August 2024 until his admission to a care home in March 2025. There were some excellent carers but there were also carers that appeared to be less good. Whilst not present when care was delivered this was apparent from the electronic records.
This often also became apparent with regard to food provision and reporting of items that were in short supply. I also did not appreciate that an article written about my fathers wife in your inhouse magazine was shown to my father. This really upset him. I complained about the article but got no response. The communication from the office was sometimes poor and emails were not answered. One care manager was excellent and communicated very well. One care manager accused us of something by email which was not true and did not respond when challenged about it.
HH was responsive in emergency situations which was appreciated.

Got in touch with Helping Hands as I was looking for a carer/domestic helper who would visit my Mum at a regular time and not leave her not knowing if someone was coming or not. The young lady who visits now is always on time, very caring and always looking to fulfil Mum's needs and requests. As I live
abroad I depend on the online communication very much. I am able to read how Mum was during the visit, she writes what she did i.e. changing the bed covers. Helping Hands even managed to organise a driver for Mum to take her to an appointment at short notice. All in all, I'm very pleased and Mum loves Sam's visits.

We have been using the services for over a year now. We are delighted that we have the same brilliant carer every week as this creates continuity for my husband and so the routine can remain the same. This is important for my husband's well being and for mine. The carer always carry out the task
allotted to them with cheerfulness, kindness and great care. I am usually kept informed by the office if things have to change at any point so I always know what's happening,. This is important too. I feel I can ring the office at any time if I have any concerns... so far , none!
