Helping Hands have been visiting and supporting the person i represent for around 3 months now, three days a week. The person they visit was nervous about receiving the necessary support, having seen poor care offered (not by helping hands) to others close to them in the previous few years.
She was
much more relaxed and confident after her initial meeting with branch manager Shannara, and has, since visits began, started to enjoy the staff coming to visit and care for her. This has been helped by the staff visiting being consistent in both time, and the care being given offered by, in general a team of 3/4 staff - not different people coming who did not get to know her well.
The quality of the care provided has been high and personable.
Reply from Katie Rathbone, Customer Experience Specialist at Helping Hands Home Care (Worthing)Good morning, thank you for taking the time to share this thoughtful feedback. We are so pleased to hear that the person you represent has grown more confident and comfortable since meeting Shannara and beginning support with our team. It is wonderful that the consistency of visit times and having a small, familiar team of carers has helped her feel at ease and supported. We are also delighted that she is now enjoying the visits and that the care provided has been both personable and of a high standard. Your comments mean a great deal to the whole team.
Kindest regards
Katie

Helping Hands Worthing branch provide a great service for my mother. The staff I have met are friendly and caring to Mum and she has coped well living at home with her dog with their support. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's many years ago and it has been a great comfort to me and my brother to know
that she has regular visits from the carers and support with food and medication and their company, of course. Helping Hands respond quickly to any messages or special requests and are always polite and friendly.
Reply from Katie Rathbone, Customer Experience Specialist at Helping Hands Home Care (Worthing)Good Afternoon,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your lovely feedback about our Worthing branch.
I am so pleased to hear that the team have been friendly, caring, and supportive to your mother, and that with their help she has been able to continue living comfortably at home with her dog. It is wonderful to know that her regular visits have brought reassurance to both you and your brother, especially given her long-term Alzheimer's diagnosis. Your comments about the prompt, polite responses to any requests are greatly appreciated and will mean a great deal to the carers who support her.
I will ensure your kind words are shared with the Worthing team.
Kindest regards
Katie

Helping Hands responded swiftly to my son's enquiry about providing care for me after an operation. Post-op pain made it difficult for me to do much for myself. The assessor was sensitive and reassuring at our first meeting. A carer was named immediately.
My carer was very kind, hardworking and dependable.
She was always punctual. She was warm and friendly and performed the tasks that I had identified, very well. She showed initiative by doing other tasks when this was necessary. I am very grateful for her help and kindness over a difficult week. Thank you to my carer and the Helping Hands team.

Dad enjoys his visits from all the carers and has some lovely conversations with the carers. His house is much cleaner and all the usual chores (eg taking the bins out, washing the sheets etc) are always done when required. I really appreciate the visit reports that the carers write everyday so that
I can know how Dad is doing and if there is anything I need to do to help him. Thank you, Helping Hands.

A particular member of staff from the Havant Team did a great job helping my mother understand that care in the home is a benefit and not an intrusion.
We agreed a slow start so that mum could get used to the idea that she needed help.
The lady that came to help mum was brilliant and built a trusting
relationship with mum that meant several months later, when the time came to increase the level of care, mum accepted the help gratefully.
I was kept informed of how the visits went and what we needed to do to help mum. The team were professional and always had mums care at the core of their activity.
Thank you all for everything you did.

We have been using Helping Hands (Worthing branch) for some time and are very happy with the care and services they provide. The carers are very professional and competent but treat my husband like an individual, not a "case". I have confidence when they  are with him and am able to relax that he is
in good hands, giving me a little break in the day. They prove to be patient and adaptable as his health and needs change and my husband really enjoys their company and friendly chat. So thanks for the assistance, it makes a real difference to both of our lives.

Helping Hand have been coming into our parents house to help particularly with Dad's care. They come to get him up, showered, shaved, toileted and emptying the night catheter bag and dressed. At lunch time, changing the pad and emptying the bag...and then again at bed time to get him settled in bed.
Helping
Hands Worthing are always helpful and cheerful and will do as much as they can to help. We definitely recommend them.

We never thought that dad would accept home care, and he was in such a bad state before he went into respite. On coming out of respite, we have engaged Helping Hands home care and are so happy with the service. Dad is happy with the carers, he is clean, well dressed, fed properly, has shopping done
when needed and his flat is spotless. This is such a complete contrast to how things were when he was at home alone. He was not coping at all. Now dad seems happy and content, and it is such a weight off our minds. We are so grateful.

This is the middle of week 2, with hourly visits morning and evening to my 97 year old Dad. He was reluctant to accepting help, but has been exceptionally pleased with experience so far. It is clearly early days, but the individual feedback on each of the carers has been positive. Clearly, as individuals
they are all different, but the experience with all has been good (and none that he would not wish to see again). For a proud and independent individual, this is high praise. The support provided has taken much of the daily strain and improved the quality of his days.

We have worked with several care agencies over the years and Helping Hands is definitely the best. My mother has very complex needs and has received excellent (live-in) care over the 2.5 years she has been with Helping Hands. It has given me so much peace of mind to know that she is being well looked
after. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Helping Hands to anyone looking for care. I am beyond grateful.

My husband has really good care from all the carers who come to get him up in the morning. They are all polite, friendly and treat him sensitively, always ensuring they have the correct personal protection. The help that they provide gives me welcome respite.
He also has a carer who comes in on a Friday
for a longer time to shower him and give him his lunch, whilst I can go out for a longer time, this allows me to switch off and have some valuable downtime. The help from the carers has definitely improved my life and my husband's life as well.

My mother is very happy with the carers and enjoys chatting with them. She likes to be encouraged to do as much as she can herself. She finds change difficult so continuity of carers is very important to her.
The review went well and Mum was able to express her needs and routine, and felt listened
to.

From the initial meeting and assessment Helping Hands were friendly, punctual, and dependable. They were hard working and kept busy throughout their session.
On a couple of occasions when they arrived to find Mum had suffered a fall, the Carers acted swiftly to contact emergency services and stayed
with her, comforting her and applied first aid when needed.
They were all polite, hardworking and reliable. They went beyond their duty on many occasion to make sure Mum was comfortable.
The support and communication provided by the office was also first class. I have recommended Helping Hands to several of my friends who have also been delighted with their excellent service.
