I was very happy with the care I had from all the girls. They helped me with my showering and dressing, which I was unable to do after my shoulder replacement op in Nov.

Always very kind and usually on time. I will miss their visits! But happy to have regained my independence.

From the very beginning, the team demonstrated kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion. Every carer who visited treated my mum with dignity, patience and understanding, qualities that made an enormous difference to her daily wellbeing. They took time to learn her preferences and ensure that she always felt safe and respected. Their communication without family has been outstanding. We were always kept informed, and any concerns were handled promptly and thoughtfully. The reliability of the service has been exceptional. Carers arrived on time, went above and beyond their duties, and consistently showed warmth and empathy. As a family, they gave us peace of mind and supported us too.

My daughter has recently been going through a mental health crisis, the team at Helping hands Horley have been extremely helpful and supportive being instrumental in getting her the help she needed from the NHS even when the NHS were quite reluctant to give it. It is very reassuring for me to know that my daughter's care is in such good hands.

We approached Helping Hands, having never used such a service before, as we needed help transitioning our young adult daughter from a long hospital stay, home to her apartment, in our absence. They have been amazing.
* Reassuring: confidently relying on them to liaise with her, and the hospital, regarding her discharge from care
* Flexible: about uncertain discharge dates and decreasing levels of need as she recovered
* Communicative: keeping us and our daughter (with her permission) updated with activities
* Professional: with a small team of wonderfully capable and caring staff visiting, initially, on a daily basis
* Personal: knowing that we could talk to real people, who understood our needs, whenever we needed to

Whilst we are tailing off our current needs we have no doubt that Helping Hands will be there to step in if we need them again in the future.

During an extended hospital stay, my family found Helping Hands to help care for me after being released. They have been a true blessing! The recovery has been long and painful, but the wonderful staff at Helping Hands have made a huge positive difference. All the staff are so kind and genuinely want to help and have a passion for their jobs. Whether that is the office staff, who have been supportive, empathetic, communicative and happy to help. The carers themselves are caring, helpful and have compassion. They help me with housework, physio, making meals and so much more. They are personable and help make me feel like I am not alone, even on bad days. They truly listen and I cannot emphasize enough how brilliant they all are. I am so happy my family found them, and thankful for everything they have done and continue to do. They care and they are truly a helping hand when you need that extra support. 10/10 would highly recommend these lovely people's service!! Thankyou Helping Hands!!

I urgently needed to put some care in place for my Stepmother, and the Team at Helping Hands were brilliant and sorted it out the same day. They came round to my Stepmother's house within an hour to do an assessment, and a preliminary care package was sorted out. I was extremely impressed with the service and their kindness and professional attitude. Once the care has begun, I will write another review about the service itself.

After 3 weeks in respite care I required help at home and my daughter contacted Helping Hands. We were impressed by their attention to detail in our initial meeting and the subsequent use of the on-line portal, which provides a full report of each visit as well as advanced notice of times/carer.

As the recipient of their care I appreciate the positive and friendly attitude of all the carers and attention to detail is always excellent , which makes the caring less intrusive for the household. Everything they can possibly do on each visit they do.

Having broken my wrist I found personal tasks very difficult to cope with one-handed. I needed help 2 weekly half hour sessions. The carers were efficient, and friendly without being too familiar. They did the tasks I asked for during the time allotted. Only on one occasion did the person arrive an hour early, before I had got ready. ...But generally they arrived within the agreed timeframe

I would immediately turn to Helping Hands should I need care in the future and recommend them wholeheartedly.

My mother is 103 years old and still lives alone but requires us to attend her daily to assist her as she has mobility issues and poor eyesight, so when we took a respite break for a week we turned to helping hands to support and care for her while we were away. I cannot speak more highly of the support and care that she was given, going being what we expected to ensure she was well looked after. While we were away we had access to an online portal where we could read a daily care report, this gave us the confidence to know that all her needs had been attended to and certainly made our holiday more relaxing. We will not hesitate to use their service again in the future.

The care provided for my Mother has been outstanding. The most important aspect is paying attention to the smaller details, which may not seem important, but can make Mum's day to day living more comfortable. Such as offering to change her hearing aid batteries if she can't hear what they are saying or talking loudly. Just noticing things that need to be done without being told or instructed. All these sorts of things make a big difference. If you know the carer pays attention to the small stuff, you know the basics are being done right.

My Mum is 93 years old and has been receiving live in care from the Epsom Branch of Helping Hands for several years now. She suffers from vascular dementia and is also partially sighted.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Helping Hands live in care, to anyone who is in a similar position to us. My mum is so well looked after. Her safety, health and emotional wellbeing are always paramount with the care she is given. We are kept in touch at all times with anything we need to know about. When our carer is on holiday the relief that is arranged for her, has also been without exception excellent.

Although we live several hours away we have complete peace of mind that she is in good hands and having the best quality of life, while still enjoying living at home.

The care I receive is excellent. The carers are superb, but management does not always look after them as they should. One carer complained she had (again) been given a 4 hour cleaning job. Helping Hands should be a caring company, not a cleaning company. You need to employ more administrative staff at weekends. Telephone Helping Hands at the weekend, and it can take 30 minutes + to get through.

The Carers offer good flexibility in terms of tasks to be undertaken, useful as needs and capabilities of Mum have changed over time. We have been offered extra assistance to deal with medical conditions and appointments. Mum has her favourites who get to know her well, and sometimes needs a little time to introduce new carers to her special ways - I think this is healthy as sometimes carers move on or need to take care of their own families, so she can be less dependent on individual carers. She probably won't thank me for saying that. Mum has recently resumed use of her hearing aids - they are a challenge for her to fit and remove/turning off batteries . Some carers are more adept than others - this week I found the battery compartment on both sides were left open - so not effective - maybe some training for consistency might be a benefit. In general I find the carers and supervisors are willing to go beyond expectations and are keen to ensure Mum is taken care of
