We're very happy with Helping Hands. My brother-in-law has been using them for domestic care for over 2 years since his stroke, and we recently expanded their care to include daily personal care which was being handled by a different company. Helping Hands are always reliable and come when they say they will (or phone if unavoidably delayed). They have been very good with ensuring as much continuity of staff as possible and all the carers are really helpful, thorough and kind. It is our impression that the company takes good care of its staff as we have not seen much turnover. The management has also taken some good initiatives with other healthcare agencies to keep my brother in law in as good as health as possible. Very happy to recommend them.

If a person uses a company and isn't happy with them, they don't go back a second time. So, if I would go back again for a third time - I think that says it all.

We have been using the services of helping hands for just over 18 months to enable my mother to remain living happily at home. We are very pleased with the service provided. Mum has got to know her daily carer and vice versa and it's made such a difference. The office team are always helpful and any changes made to mum's care are actioned and put into place as quickly as possible. We have been using Helping Hands for my mother for the last couple of years. My Mother passed away in January 2026. We had carers coming in 4 times a day to help her manage getting up and going to bed and help with lunch and dinner.

On the most part we had fantastic carers - that mum enjoyed having in the home. On occasions, we had a carer that didnt click with mum, but a quick phone call and they were not sent to us again. We worked with the team in the office well - the more information you can give the team, the better the care can be April and the team always responded to any issues quickly and professionally.

We did have a large number of carers and this was a little disconcerting for mum... she got a little frustrated trying to explain her routine to each new carer, but we believe we were a little out of their normal zone and 4 times a day was a lot... the team did try their best to give mum the consistency she needed.

My mother needed care in April 2025 and with her, and my siblings we chose Helping Hands. Mum was a little reluctant to accept help but the care and detail used to identify carers she might get on with , was a good foundation. The carers from Helping Hands became friends to her, caring , interested and willing to listen to her needs. The admin staff were easy to talk to and as her needs changed provided reassuring feedback back . We as a family are so glad we chose Helping Hands .They are a company who really care in every sense of the word.

I've been with Helping Hands for a few months now and I can honestly say I couldn't be happier! They have welcomed me in under quite difficult circumstances and made me feel completely at home. Their staff are always highly professional whilst also creating a friendly and caring environment. I've come too see my carers and the others at Helping Hands as an important part of my life and I'm so happy to be with them. As always Claire arrives on time, is kind, friendly and extremely professional when carrying out her care for my mother. Claire has a very warm and bubbly personality which makes my mother feel very comfortable and happy throughout her visits. She is a star!

Very friendly team with very efficient staff. The team at Helping Hands enabled my mother to stay in her own home. They attended to her needs, whilst enabling her to keep her independence as long as possible.

Very efficient organisation who sent us carers who understood our needs. Every effort was made to care how my wife wanted and this worked very well. Once the carer was understanding of my wife's needs they soon had her sorted out. Overall the carers did well.

After only needing care for a short time, I have decided to use the carer weekly as the match was so good & my son absolutely loves seeing her. I would highly recommend Helping Hands!

Service is good, but so far the carers have not really bonded with the client. Hopefully this will improve with time. Previously we have had some excellent carers which is why I stay with Helping Hands.

My Husband has had Care from Helping Hands for over 3years now. The ladies that come to him are always kind, considerate and fun for him. This is I am able to go to work 3days a week. he office staff if I have to contact them are always helpful especially April the Manager.

My elderly uncle has received excellent care and understanding from all the staff at Helping Hands. He has regular carers who he has got to know, who are patient and attentive and he looks forward to their visits. Communication with management is excellent

All the staff are lovely. Would like to have them more but cannot afford it which is a real shame.,because she would benefit from maybe a little walk or day out

I would like to say a big Thank You to all at Helping Hands for providing such essential care to my son. Their positive and caring approach has been so benificial to his everyday life, and given him added confidence.

Generally excellent and reliable service, as it has been all year. The carers have made are my mother is comfortable and well looked after. They have been alert to any changes in her condition or particular needs which need attention, medical or otherwise. My mother is very happy with the care she is receiving.

Overall we are very happy with the service and staff of the Company. Every carer that has attended has been very helpful, understanding of the situation and performs all tasks with a friendly and sincere smile.

Perhaps consider splitting the coverage area into 3 sectors and using locally resident carers in s specific area.
