Overall Experience

It is nice to see some carers from the previous home care provider who visited my husband. I feel confident to talk to them. Most carers are friendly and efficient. I do not like jackets worn for my care, so ask for removal of same. I am happy to contact the office locally if the need arises or if I

need advice.

Overall Experience

My husband had care from Helping Hands for over 12 months. Although initially he was very reluctant to accept care from anyone but me, the girls that came were ideal and managed to persuade him to let them wash him. The agency explained they would send different carers for the first few sessions

so that we could work out who suited my husband best and once we had done this there was remarkable continuity of care. When the regular carer was on holiday, they said they would send a carer who had a very similar approach to the usual one, and they did. I was very impressed with this, and with their flexibility when I had to alter sessions at relatively short notice. The carers were kind and efficient and the support and advice from the office staff was very helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I find all carers very supportive, encouraging and helpful, especially my regular carers. Any queries are quickly and sensitively answered by office staff. Very impressed that all office staff also do caring duties when necessary.

A very good service provided to help us look after my dad. They are reliable and always visit as scheduled. The service provided is flexible and able to be up-scaled if we are away on holiday, etc.

Overall Experience

Lovely carers (especially Sharon) go above and beyond.
Carers help with washing, breakfast and prompting medication. Some will empty bins and do washing, mum (and I) would be lost without them.

Overall Experience

We have regular care mainly with one person who knows my wife well. She is excellent. The other 'occasional' carers are also excellent and also know her well. We are extremely happy with the provision we get.

Overall Experience

We are all still very happy with the services being provided to my Mums support.
The ladies are now bonding with Mum and she appreciates the care and company they provide for her.
Let's now hope that my Mum has stabilised to a point where she can remain in her home for years to come.

Overall Experience

I have had visiting care for 5 weeks whilst recovering from major surgery. The input from Helping Hands has been very helpful to me, and reassuring for my son (who live and works in Bristol) and for me. The staff were always helpful and willing, courteous and respectful, friendly and cheerful. I was

particularly grateful when the timing of a visit was changed at short notice to accommodate an urgent blood test.
My son and I thought there would be a high level of continuity of care, and this is the only thing which could have been improved. Of the 20 sessions of care I had, one person came 3 times, six came twice, and five came once. That means I saw 12 different people for 20 sessions.

Overall Experience

Excellent service from the first call to assessment and then provision of care. Everyone was professional and helpful. Care was arranged swiftly. The carer was kind and supportive and helped with a difficult transition home from hospital.

Overall Experience

For 16 months HH have provided excellent live in care. Particularly from one lady who has been there most of time. On one occasion when a relief carer was not suitable she was replaced within the hour. Unfortunately this carer had been appointed by head office, and was unknown by the branch.
