A rapid decline in my wife's help, especially in mobility, means that we have needed to place her in a residential nursing home, but, if the occasion arose, we would certainly use Helping Hands again, and we will certainly thoroughly recommend your excellent service to others.

The carer that comes to me is a caring carer and nothing is too much trouble.

Every morning a member of your team, very cheerfully greets us, does splendidly giving us an all over wash, or shower. Having made our beds, they prepare our breakfast of a boiled egg and cereal with fruit. They then complete various other jobs. At all times they are respectful.

Caring for my mother has been made a lot easier with the help from Helping Hands we receive. They have made all the changes that we had requested and even suggested other ideas. So we are very pleased with the service provided.

Helping Hands came in to care for my mother-in-law for a couple of hours each day. They treated her with respect and understood her needs and their help was invaluable in supporting us as family members as well.

All the carers are very nice, polite, competent and good listeners and you seem to be able to work round any other commitments that I have and they each remember how I like things done. I think that the level of care is adequate for the moment but this may change if I get more health issues.

Their attention to detail is fantastic and it is obvious that they enjoy their work. Very friendly and empathetic, all in all very happy with the service they provide. We use their Sitting Service and I feel confident that mum is looked after properly and cared for whilst they are there.

Friendly carers, usually on time and always happy to do whatever mum needs them to. It is nice for her to have someone else to talk to and help her with things she is no longer able to manage for herself.

It is nice to see some carers from the previous home care provider who visited my husband. I feel confident to talk to them. Most carers are friendly and efficient. I do not like jackets worn for my care, so ask for removal of same. I am happy to contact the office locally if the need arises or if I need advice.

My husband had care from Helping Hands for over 12 months. Although initially he was very reluctant to accept care from anyone but me, the girls that came were ideal and managed to persuade him to let them wash him. The agency explained they would send different carers for the first few sessions so that we could work out who suited my husband best and once we had done this there was remarkable continuity of care. When the regular carer was on holiday, they said they would send a carer who had a very similar approach to the usual one, and they did. I was very impressed with this, and with their flexibility when I had to alter sessions at relatively short notice. The carers were kind and efficient and the support and advice from the office staff was very helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Helping Hands are invaluable to both myself and my father. They help with his personal care and provide invaluable social interaction. They are always respectful and kind. They are an essential part of Dad's day.
