My farhers care plan changed, and now needs carers to dispense meds.
Communication is good between myself and the office, either by phone or email.

My father only uses the service one session a week, and it's good it's usually the same person.

Helping Hands have been wonderful, both the management team and the care staff. The carers have treated my Mum with dignity and respect at all times and it has really improved her wellbeing since they started to care for her, especially as there is a small consistent team of carers looking after her, rather than having different carers going in everyday (which would certainly create anxiety for her). The Management team have always been Professional, easily accessible and flexible in their approach to my Mums changing needs, needs which they carefully and thoughtfully consider and document. I can't thank Helping Hands enough for their individualised service to my precious Mum, we as a family, are so reassured that she is in the best and safest hands. Thank you all again.

I have been very impressed with Helping Hands from meeting Sam Hale at the beginning of the process and the pairing of the carers' sent to suit my Mum. Due to Hollies holiday my Mum has also had Tom and Alex and she gets along with them all. She looks forwards to the visits very much. The carers' are punctual, good company and extremely helpful.

Helping Hands supported my mother in the last two years of her life, and I can say that they enabled my mother to stay in her own home and provided companionship visits and gave me comfort that someone was checking on on her even when she was able to do things for herself. So much of the visit was wellbeing as far as I was concerned, on top of helping her with showers etc.

I would like to give a personal thanks to the Ellesmere Port office staff who continued to adapt rotas whenever I asked them, and maintained that close contact with me . The carers were all lovely and got to know my mum. Thank you so much to the team, we couldnt have done it without you

Helping Hands have been visiting my mother for just over two years now.
Physically she is still remarkable for 97 years of age but her cognitive abilities have declined considerably in this time.
HH have been very good at increasing the number of visits, increasing the time, making more daily checks and helping with more tasks as mum's needs have changed.

By maintaining contact with family who live away and addressing mum's needs she is managing to stay in her own home safely.

After reluctantly accepting I needed some assistance getting shoes and socks and showering I contacted Helping Hands (Ellesmere Port)who arranged for someone to visit me at home with no obligation. I had very many questions for them and all were answered clearly without the use of crib sheets assuring me I would have a team of regular carers . At no time did I feel under pressure to sign up to them.
The team I have are all first class and dependable, with an understanding of my needs, encouraging independence, privacy and dignity at all times in a cheerful and courteous manner undertaking other tasks eg putting out the recycling and making my bed always asking if there is anything else I need before they leave.
I know I will need more care in the future and am happy and confident that I can depend on Helping Hands when the time comes

this review is to cover the last 12 months.
Having not had a break in 6 years i was very reluctant to leave my friend as we literally had not been apart in 6 years that he has lived with me. however one phone call to enquire and i knew straight away from talking to adrienne i was leaving him in very capable hands and my fears went. We was very fortunate to get Abel and wow what can i say there is no words to describe how happy we was with the care he provided Adie. The feedback from my family, Friends and neighbours was outstanding.
Abel is so kind caring patient and very understanding of adies needs i trust him 100 percent in our home he keeps it spotlessI will only have Abel as he knows Adies needs just as much as my family and i myself do.

He is an amazing carer and knows his job and is so dedicated. Thank you for all the care Abel and the rest of helping hands as they always a phonecall away if i need to enquire about anything

We started using Helping Hands in August 2025 to help my mum who has dementia live independently at home. The carers have been lovely and mum really enjoys their company and the little errands that they help her with. Recently mum has had a number of GP appointments to attend and the management have been fantastic in ensuring that there is always a carer available to accompany mum to the appointment, even at short notice. Thank you for your help and support - it makes such a difference when I have my own young family to look after and a full time job - I know that mum has some company and help with jobs at the times I can't be there with her.

I love having my carers each morning. Without them, I would be unable to get out of bed, showered and dressed. As a full time wheelchair user life isn't straightforward but they help me get ready for the day ahead. I have a regular bunch and they are all kind, thoughtful, resourceful, perceptive, punctual and respectful.

I have been a client of Helping Hands for over 3 years and would highly recommend them.

After a thorough review of the various home care providers in the St Helens area, I had no hesitation in hiring Helping Hands. But the proof of the pudding was in the delivery, not the eating! I have been delighted at the level of professionalism and flexibility of all the careers and management in the organisation, always putting my mother's needs and wishes first. I have no doubt that as my mother's condition develops I will have to lean on them more, but I have the comfort of knowing there is someone else there that I can trust 100%.

I can wholeheartedly endorse Helping Hands as a first rate care provider.

Thank you very much for the support and care I have received over the past 6 months. All the carers who came to me were kind and friendly and happy to do whatever I asked!

I am much better now and I hope to be able to manage on my own. Some of the carers were assigned to come to me quite often and became friends. I hope not to need you again in the near future but I want to give you all my best wishes and will be happy to see you again if that's what we need to do.

My mum has been with helping hands now for over 12 months since being diagnosed with dementia and being bed bound upon release from hospital. To keep her in her home we knew we would need help and after much research we believe we have chosen the best available care for our mother. Nothing is to much trouble they also do weekly shop for her as we work long hours so also take the pressure of us. Recently she had a complete new kitchen fitted which would have been stress for mum but the carers went above and beyond to get her through it with as least disruption as possible.

Dealing with management with any issues is a comfort as they are so helpful and knowledgeable solve the problems very efficiently. Our mother need extra visits put in and this was sorted very swiftly and professionally.

We have been using Helping Hands for a while now for my mother. All the carers are lovely, they are super caring, thoughtful and make sure that all mums needs are met whilst chatting and lifting mums spirits throughout the visit. We feel reassured and at ease knowing mum is getting the best care we can ask for. We would highly recommend Helping hands, from the first interaction nothing was too much trouble for them, they listened to us and our concerns and also to my mum and what she wanted, they don't just provide care they are company for loved ones as well. The special touch of one of my mums carers buying her flowers on her birthday was lovely. They go above and beyond on every visit and now my mum looks forward to seeing them every day.

The Carers from Helping Hands were always kind, professional, prompt and supportive of my aunt. They provided her and myself with reassurance that she was always comfortable, safe and surrounded with people who we knew really cared. Over the time that they visited her they became her new friends or as she said " my girls', always courteous and placing May at the centre of their attentions. Most pleasing were their bright smiles and positive attitudes which ensured that May started and ended each day with smiles and love.
The Quality Assurance offered by the company was outstanding , checking regularly with us that the service was of the highest quality whilst also giving us both an opportunity to raise any concerns - of which there where none!

Thank you does not seem enough to express my sincere gratitude to all the carers and the management team for their hard work. You promised quality care at home and you gave it. I wish you every success in the future
