We started using Helping Hands in August 2025 to help my mum who has dementia live independently at home. The carers have been lovely and mum really enjoys their company and the little errands that they help her with. Recently mum has had a number of GP appointments to attend and the management have
been fantastic in ensuring that there is always a carer available to accompany mum to the appointment, even at short notice. Thank you for your help and support - it makes such a difference when I have my own young family to look after and a full time job - I know that mum has some company and help with jobs at the times I can't be there with her.
Reply from Katie Rathbone, Customer Experience Specialist at Helping Hands Home Care (Nantwich)Good morning,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, we really do appreciate it.
We are delighted to hear that our carers have been a great support to your mum and that she enjoys their company and the help with errands.
It's wonderful to know that the team has been able to assist with GP appointments, even at short notice, and that this has made things easier for you while balancing family and work.
Your kind words mean so much to us, and we'll make sure they are shared with the carers and management team.
Kindest regards

I love having my carers each morning. Without them, I would be unable to get out of bed, showered and dressed. As a full time wheelchair user life isn't straightforward but they help me get ready for the day ahead. I have a regular bunch and they are all kind, thoughtful, resourceful, perceptive, punctual
and respectful.
I have been a client of Helping Hands for over 3 years and would highly recommend them.

After a thorough review of the various home care providers in the St Helens area, I had no hesitation in hiring Helping Hands. But the proof of the pudding was in the delivery, not the eating! I have been delighted at the level of professionalism and flexibility of all the careers and management in
the organisation, always putting my mother's needs and wishes first. I have no doubt that as my mother's condition develops I will have to lean on them more, but I have the comfort of knowing there is someone else there that I can trust 100%.
I can wholeheartedly endorse Helping Hands as a first rate care provider.
Reply from Katie Rathbone, Customer Experience Specialist at Helping Hands Home Care (Widnes)Anthony,

Thank you very much for the support and care I have received over the past 6 months. All the carers who came to me were kind and friendly and happy to do whatever I asked!
I am much better now and I hope to be able to manage on my own. Some of the carers were assigned to come to me quite often and
became friends. I hope not to need you again in the near future but I want to give you all my best wishes and will be happy to see you again if that's what we need to do.

My mum has been with helping hands now for over 12 months since being diagnosed with dementia and being bed bound upon release from hospital. To keep her in her home we knew we would need help and after much research we believe we have chosen the best available care for our mother. Nothing is to much
trouble they also do weekly shop for her as we work long hours so also take the pressure of us. Recently she had a complete new kitchen fitted which would have been stress for mum but the carers went above and beyond to get her through it with as least disruption as possible.
Dealing with management with any issues is a comfort as they are so helpful and knowledgeable solve the problems very efficiently. Our mother need extra visits put in and this was sorted very swiftly and professionally.

We have been using Helping Hands for a while now for my mother. All the carers are lovely, they are super caring, thoughtful and make sure that all mums needs are met whilst chatting and lifting mums spirits throughout the visit. We feel reassured and at ease knowing mum is getting the best care we
can ask for. We would highly recommend Helping hands, from the first interaction nothing was too much trouble for them, they listened to us and our concerns and also to my mum and what she wanted, they don't just provide care they are company for loved ones as well. The special touch of one of my mums carers buying her flowers on her birthday was lovely. They go above and beyond on every visit and now my mum looks forward to seeing them every day.

The Carers from Helping Hands were always kind, professional, prompt and supportive of my aunt. They provided her and myself with reassurance that she was always comfortable, safe and surrounded with people who we knew really cared. Over the time that they visited her they became her new friends or
as she said " my girls', always courteous and placing May at the centre of their attentions. Most pleasing were their bright smiles and positive attitudes which ensured that May started and ended each day with smiles and love.
The Quality Assurance offered by the company was outstanding , checking regularly with us that the service was of the highest quality whilst also giving us both an opportunity to raise any concerns - of which there where none!
Thank you does not seem enough to express my sincere gratitude to all the carers and the management team for their hard work. You promised quality care at home and you gave it. I wish you every success in the future

Iv been a service user for a while now with helping hands and I couldn't be happier with both the office staff/management, excellent professionalism across all fronts and never had any issues.

All amazing people, great characters and very welcoming all at the same time. The office themselves are

very accommodating and I could not be happier with everyone. The carers go above and beyond in every way xxx

All the carers are good, doing everything requested. They arrive on time or close to it and do not rush you. Generally, they are gentle as they wash and dry you and always ensure you are ok before they leave. One carer regularly checks that your skin is not damaged in any way and warns you if there
are any potential issues.

The carers from Helping Hands are incredible and I literally couldn't cope without them. They have got to know my husband really well and go the extra mile to make sure he has everything he needs. They are kind, non-judgemental and patient. They are also there to listen to me too which means a lot.
They are true angels. The management team are also excellent, they regularly check in with me and keep me updated with any issues or changes. Thanks to Helping Hands i have been able to continue working and my stress levels have reduced as I know my husband is being cared for. Thank you for everything x

Helping Hands (Nantwich) have over many years provided exceptional care and support to my mum.

Throughout there has been one constant member of staff.

She has consistently gone above and beyond always ensuring my mum has the very best care. She has also supported me many times too providing updates

outside of the normal hours of care. I cannot therefore thank her enough for her professionalism, dedication, and care to the job she has demonstrated. She is an asset to your business, always there to reassure all they are in the best of hands. A deep gratitude will always remain from both my mum and I for the support this carer and Helping Hands has given.

Thank you Helping Hands you did a brilliant job! I wish you continued success in providing a high quality service.

I am generally pleased with the service from Helping Hands. Had a couple of hiccups earlier in the journey but these were sorted out satisfactorily.
We generally have the same carer twice a week at a regular slot which l have found beneficial to my husband with dementia. He has confidence in her care
and is treated with dignity and even looks forward to the visits.

My parents were not looking forward to getting Carers , but now they are so glad they did, all the ladies are very Friendly and i can relax now to know they are getting proper meals with fresh vegetables every day and a pudding. They now wash and dress my Mum every morning and give her her pills.
They also help out with ironing, cleaning emptying bins checking the fridge for out of date food. They make the bed and change the bed and put clothes away. The weekly rota is excellent as I can let my Mum know who is coming . Me & my brother now have peace of mind that they are being looked after , I ring the ladies in the office too and they are also very friendly and very helpful I fully recommend Helping Hands.

All carers are friendly, well presented and helpful.
Most have good timekeeping, when they are unable to be so due to e.g. traffic, I am kept informed.
Most of the time they use their full hour and look for additional tasks or ask Is there anything else I can help with? When I feel rushed (not
often) I have contacted the office.
I have a few 'main carers' i.e. most often here; they know my routine and if they spot something that needs doing will either just get on and do it, or let me know that they will action it the next day.

Helping Hands have been looking after both my parents then my mum for 10 months now. They have been such a support through my dad's death and my mum's changing needs. Strong relationships quickly grew with the team of carers. They did everything they could for my dad. Mum trusts them and has become
very fond of them. Their care has enabled her to stay at home where she wants to be. Helping Hands are really good at getting in touch if they have any concerns. They have been very helpful in communicating with the surgery and pharmacy when needed.

Mostly the service provided has been very good, courteous and respectfully. The only negative has been that occasionally the lady coming in to help has not arrived at the agreed time, meaning my father is sitting about in his dressing gown waiting for her to arrive. Also my mother doesn't think they
need a whole hour just to wash him, she thinks half an hour would do. But overall the service has been very good.
Another small point, my mother asked for a man to assist with dad's washing, I understand this is very difficult, and except this may not be available all the time.

Helping Hands are the first care company that I've used for my Dad, and I couldn't be happier. My Dad is an independent person who has always done things from himself, but due to ill health needs help for the first time, especially after my Mum passed away last year. He was initially reluctant to have
carers, but now he actively looks forward to each visit. He finds each of the carers very friendly, warm and engaging - and will now tell me to cancel other things if they clash with a carers visit!)
