I just can't thank all the staff and carers enough for the service you provide to the friend of mine who is a service user. Over the years Helping Hands have taken the pressure off my role as a carer especially as I have had health issues and a family bereavement and been unable to provide the care
I should have for my friend. Nothing is too much trouble and they always go the extra mile for me.


I honestly don't know what I would do without them especially as I have now reached retirement and just don't have the energy to do it on my own any more. I would highly recommend them to care for your loved ones and feel completely reassured when I know my friend is under their care.

My parents recently moved to the Rochdale Branch of Helping Hands and have care help twice daily morning and night. The carers are wonderful ! They always polite, punctual, caring and compassionate. Mum and Dad both look forward to their visits. As much as possible the same carers are sent so real friendships
have blossomed with them, they know the routine and Dad doesn't get confused with unfamiliar faces. The managers in the office are wonderful too, respond quickly and are very approachable. I would highly recommend Helping Hands Rochdale.

Care, compassion, dignity and trustworthy. Mum has a lovely team of carers visiting her 2x daily they enable her with activities of daily living and keep her hat clean and tidy. It gives the family peace of mind to know that someone is calling to check she is eating/ drinking and taking her meds. We
would not hesitate to recommend this company - management are efficient and always there if needed for changes to rotas nothing is a problem.

Helping hands in Wigan have been looking after my mother in law for the past few years. Whilst this is not a regular service, they have covered our holidays and short term needs which has meant we are able to have peace of mind that she is in good hands.
The management team are approachable, friendly
and very accommodating.
The carers they use are always prompt, caring, professional and provide an excellent level of care.
Most importantly, my mother in law really enjoys their company too!

These observations relate to the whole period that my mother received visits from 'Helping Hands'.
Overall I do recommend Helping Hands Oldham.
1) The ideal would be for consistency in the individual providing the care. Obviously this is nigh on impossible but at least most staff do repeat visits
so my mother could get to know them a little.
2) a) Some of the carers would have benefitted from more training with regard to the needs of elderly people i.e. not to put crockery items away on high shelves but instead to leave on a work top close at hand.
b) To have more comprehensive understanding of domestic equipment popular with older people i.e. a ewbank!
3) I understand that the volume of traffic is ever increasing creating a challenge for carers time keeping. The issue of the time a carer should or should not attend the premises has been addressed more than once. This may be singularly relevant to my mother who liked her tea at a particular time to reduce stress on her heart.

Helping Hands Sale have been supporting my Mum since April 2024. Mum is 85 and has arthritis in her knees and some short term memory issues and the carers make a very positive impact on Mum's quality of life.
Mum had never had regular carers previously and Helping Hands have been great in finding carers
that have been able to form a positive relationship with Mum which is much appreciated.
The carers all have cars and are able to help around the home or take Mum to the shops or to appointments. Mum really enjoys the visits.
We started with one 3 hour session per week and it has worked so well that we have gradually increased it to three 3 hour sessions per week.
A few weeks ago a health issue arose and Mum needed additional support. Helping Hands were brilliant and were able to provide additional visits on an ad hoc basis so that Mum had a carer visit every day. This support has enabled Mum to recover and get out and about again.
I highly recommend Helping Hands Sale.

We have used Helping Hands for the last 2 years or so to provide home visits for my mum.
Mum was initially against using home care as she was upset at losing her independence as she reached 90 but she is so happy with Helping Hands. Obviously like any company there is the occasion glitch in the system
but the office are always responsive and proactive. Larni has been extremely helpful.
Mum loves all her carers who are genuinely caring , compassionate and friendly. They carry out all the jobs mum asks for and she loves chatting with them. They always alert us to any area of concern with mums health.
We feel confident using Helping Hands and would recommend them to anyone wanting care for their loved one.

They accommodated us, to provided increased hours to help take the pressure off myself. The staff have been marvellous, treating us with dignity and compassion.

We have always been really happy with our 2 main carer's who's compassion and care are excellent.
We have struggled in the past with the cover provided when our 2 main carer's are on leave. Be it hand over's or the quality of carer provided.
Recently we have had a seamless cover when our main carer's
both had their breaks one after the other. There was enough time for the handover's which has not always been the case.
Now the care is managed locally there has been a massive improvement in communication.
We feel confident as a family that mum and dad are getting the best care. Their home feels like home with a nice relaxed atmosphere and a bit of fun thrown in.

I recently asked Helping Hands Sale Manchester to come and help me look after my 94 year old Dad. My dad is always praising the carers, he says each one of them is so lovely and show him such kindness. At first I was worried about bringing carers in to help as my dad had never had anyone in before,
but from the very beginning the staff at Helping Hands helped to alleviate my concerns. It brings me great comfort to know that when I can't be there, my dad is being looked after and more importantly that he is happy. Thank you so much.

Helping Hands give us the perfect 'care package' for supporting mum's needs. The care they provide is exemplary. The carers are patient and kind to mum and take their time to chat with mum and build a relationship with her. The practical help they give too with helping me to run the house (cleaning
and washing etc) is just wonderful and enables me now to have more time to work and time to spend with my own family. The managers are always very friendly and approachable. They are incredibly supportive and understanding and go out of their way to provide flexible help in any way they can.

Mum is very happy with the twice daily care visits she receives from Helping Hands and this support is enabling her to remain in her own home. It is also very reassuring for me to know that she is safe.
I feel I can contact the office any time for extra support or information and I always get a prompt
and positive response. Clare in particular has been fantastic.

Since joining this company, I have never met with a carer who hasn't been respectful of all my wishes. I have enjoyed the chats and laughs that we have had, and they have also enjoyed some of the stories I have been able to tell them of years gone by. It is a very organised company and will oblize you
in any way they can. One of the reasons I think it works well is because they try to keep you with one carer so you can build a good relationship with each other. I am so glad that I chose this company and will stay with them as long as it takes.

I recently used your services as sit in care for my wife while I was having cataract surgery. The carers who came were very friendly and helpful and really looked after my wife who has alzheimers.I could not have asked for better care.I would recommend your company to anyone, you are simply the best.

Overall the service has been really good, the carers are realible, very friendly and on time. I feel confident with the level of care provided for my stepdad and Helping Hands are a vast improvement on the previous care agency that we had in place. If I have any concerns or queries, these are usually
dealt with promptly by the team - either by the office-based team or the carers themselves. It is useful to receive the weekly rota so that my Stepdad has an idea of who is coming. Generally, we are very satified with the service.
