I was able to utilise the service due to my 89-year old dad having fallen and broken his humerus. The care we were able to arrange for him has helped him enormously, allowing him to work on returning to his independence while having physical support for the most difficult tasks, or those that were unsafe for him to do alone.

He has recovered sufficiently to not need ongoing support now but for the several weeks he had the help, it was really appreciated by him, and by us, his family, as we were not able to do this for him. Thank you to all concerned.

If this isn't possible a paper copy or communication sheet should be placed in the home so carers and family can work together.

The ongoing care of 3 visits a day is invaluable and I can rest assured my mother is in safe hands.

Helping Hands have provided reliable,consistent and caring support to both my husband and myself.They also provided additional support at 24 hours notice when I had an unexpected operation and needed much more assistance.Carers came in every evening to get my husband ready for bed and also increased their daytime visits .My recovery would not have been so successful without this help .I am grateful to all the team and know I can access additional support should I require it

From a communication point of view with the office via email, this has been an excellent service. Toni has been responsive to adjustments in the care requirements and calls for my sister. The care provided on the whole from my perspective has been positive for what is quite an intricate care call, consistency with carers is always welcome, but not always available, this is understandable. Thanks for the continued support.

I have received very good care from the people assigned to me. It has been easier for me to have the same carers each day as you have a more personal relationship with them and they know where everything goes in the house. Nothing has been refused when asked to do it. The office staff have always been helpful in trying to fit me out with compatible carers.

Helping Hands have been looking after my mother for the last 2.5 years. My sister and I could not have enabled Mum to remain in her own home if the carers had not been coming. Mum has 3 visits a day (meals and personal care) except for a couple of days when my sister and I can be with her. Both the carers and office staff are always attentive, caring and professional. They have always been accomodating with amendments to her regular care and alert us to any issues in a timely way. I would not hesitate in recommending them.

I just want to let the general public know that Helping Hands Leeds are a care provider that really do care. My friend has been with Helping Hands Leeds for over 12 years now. There isn't a day that goes by that he let's me know that each individual carer that has visited him has treated him with the upmost respect. His Wednesday afternoon's out to the pub with his carer & neighbour is the highlight of his week. To each individual carer and each member of staff in the office, thank you for what you do. I have had Helping Hands care for my Mum on 2 days a week for the past 6 months. They are amazing. Mum wasnt too keen on the idea of carers as she wanted me to do but I was struggling and needed help. Care was put into place for one day a week...Fridays. Mum soon got used to the idea but it was made easier as the staff who attended were so lovely. I then arranged for a carer to come for an hour on Monday mornings. I cannot praise everyone at Helping Hands enough! From the care Mum receives to the communication from office staff.....everything is 5*

It took a while to get the correct cover;s for my mum when we first started using your company. I am now very pleased with my mum's main carer. Her attention to detail is very good. We still have occasional issues which I discuss with managmenet but overall am happy with the service provided at this moment in time.

I have used Helping Hands for respite since 2024, and then in January 2025, a crisis occurred in my husband's illness. The Alzheimer's manifested with delirium and aggression. Your wonderful team supported me excellently until we could find residential help. Thank you so much.

I have found all the carers to be excellent. They wash and dress him after helping him out of bed and are so cheerful, and he (my husband) looks forward to them coming each morning. Their help is very satisfactory.

We've been pleased with the service on the whole, but the organisation needs to be better and answering of messaged quicker. We have had some problems with helpers, which have not been all looked at, and some were serious! Some helpers have been excellent.

What a wonderful team! Caring, cheerful, and hard working, and I know that my wife Sheila is well looked after and that she feels the same. We have never had a single grouse about anything. All in all - top service. Thank you all.

Thankyou for providing very reliable and consistent care for our father. Currently our father is independent however, he needs two short visits each week to provide some essential care and support. The carers are now familiar to him which is much appreciated. I would recommend Helping Hands to others.

I do sympathise, however, with the management team, they are constantly run to capacity. When there is sickness, annual leave, or care issues, they come out of the office to help out. More often than not, this is the case; it would be helpful to provide more resources. I think a 'pool' care is needed for times when cars are off the road. Good staff are leaving to go elsewhere, which is a shame. Overall, an excellent team!!

Be careful and check everything before using this company, they seem to have perfected the art of taking money for nothing.
