It took a while to get the correct cover;s for my mum when we first started using your company. I am now very pleased with my mum's main carer. Her attention to detail is very good. We still have occasional issues which I discuss with managmenet but overall am happy with the service provided at this
moment in time.

I have used Helping Hands for respite since 2024, and then in January 2025, a crisis occurred in my husband's illness. The Alzheimer's manifested with delirium and aggression. Your wonderful team supported me excellently until we could find residential help. Thank you so much.

I have found all the carers to be excellent. They wash and dress him after helping him out of bed and are so cheerful, and he (my husband) looks forward to them coming each morning. Their help is very satisfactory.

We've been pleased with the service on the whole, but the organisation needs to be better and answering of messaged quicker. We have had some problems with helpers, which have not been all looked at, and some were serious! Some helpers have been excellent.

The management staff & carers at Wakefield branch are excellent, I can only speak for the carers I have met & who look after my mum.
I do sympathise, however, with the management team, they are constantly run to capacity. When there is sickness, annual leave, or care issues, they come out of the office
to help out. More often than not, this is the case; it would be helpful to provide more resources. I think a 'pool' care is needed for times when cars are off the road. Good staff are leaving to go elsewhere, which is a shame. Overall, an excellent team!!

Think very carefully about using this company, they seem to have perfected the act of ripping off the elderly and their families. My mum was taken into hospital by ambulance, I contacted the company to explain she would not require the helpers until further notice, I was told they would "suspend " the
service but still charged for 2 days attendance even though it was obvious my mum wasn't there needing help.
3 weeks later I informed them that my mum had had to go into a full time care home so would not need help. 3 weeks later they took over £300 from her account even though she had not had any help for 6 weeks. They had charged for 5 days after termination of the contract, we got lucky, it was only 5 days if she had not gone into care it would have been 14 days. So basically the company got nearly £500 for doing nothing.
Be careful and check everything before using this company, they seem to have perfected the art of taking money for nothing.

I'm very happy with Helping Hands and the care they are giving my parents.
I have had to make a few additions/ changes to the care plan due to changes in circumstances. All the staff (both admin and carers) have been able to make the changes in a timely manner.
As I don't live near to my parents,
knowing they are being cared for by a friendly, approachable team is invaluable. Carers will phone me if they have any concerns or queries and I can view details of each visit online.
Carers arrive within the allocated time period and make the effort to get to know my parents.

The staff are excellent. Caring, considerate, and really brilliant with my Dad who is very sick with PSP. When there have been problems (and there haven't been many) the issues are dealt with swiftly, and with care and sensitivity.


From the management down to the individual carers I can't rate homecare

more highly. They are superb in what is very difficult circumstances.

The team at Helping Hands is amazing. The manager is responsive to any changes we need for my mums care and always glad to help. My mum loves "her ladies" that come. They run through a checklist of things I have asked them to do and let me know if there is anything off with my mum. With my mum having
a bit of Dementia and in her 90's it gives me peace of mind knowing that she has someone else helping look after her. I am absolutely thrilled with Helping Hands and couldn't recommend them more!

Helping Hands have been looking after my parents and now just my Mum for over 4 years. A wonderful relationship has been formed with their main carer who is thoughtful, considerate and really pro-active. My brother and I do not live in Leeds, so knowing Mum is receiving daily visits and we are being
kept in the loop is a significant re-assurance. All other carers who visit the house are friendly and professional too


All the office staff are equally attentive and supportive, they all know me and Mum by name and are always really helpful. We couldn't be without you!

After contacting the Rothwell office I was given a quick appointment for the manager to visit and make an assessment of my mother in laws needs .I found the manager very professional, so kind and caring manner .Visits were quickly arranged to suit .
My mother in Law has found the help and care given
amazing , not only from the physical help but enjoys the company and kindness from the care staff .
I can only give praise to the carers , manager and office staff for their understanding and first class service.

Helping Hands provided home care to our Mum as her illness progressed. The staff were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to provide the support needed. They often went above and beyond, for example staying with Mum if an ambulance had been called.
The online portal was really helpful for
understanding Mums needs especially as I live in a different city.

From my first point of contact Helping Hands have been as their name describes a great help with the care of my elderly frail mother. The initial discussion was arranged quickly and all the decisions involved mum too. The office were quick to respond to any alterations of the care plan. Her carers were
friendly and kind. They not only cared for her physical needs but took time to talk to her. The service provided was very flexible and understanding. The team also provided support to me and would contact me promptly with any concerns. I would have no hesitation in recommending Helping Hands Home Care.

The staff at the Rothwell branch have been absolutely brilliant in putting in more appropriate care for my mum whose care needs changed recently. My families engagement with Helping Hands team have been excellent from day 1. From working through what actual care package was required to providing the friendly and emotional support to both my parents. My interaction with the team in terms of the onsite 'Carers' and the team at the office in Rothwell
