Last view visits on Saturday evening, the bathroom toilet and sink and the separate toilet and sink have not been cleaned. This was reported to the office, and notes were to be updated.
Reply from Katie Rathbone, Customer Experience Specialist at Helping Hands Home Care (Southport)Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I am sorry to hear that the bathroom and toilet areas were not cleaned during the recent Saturday evening visits. This is not the standard of care we expect to deliver. I am glad you have already reported this to the office and that the notes are being updated, as this will help ensure the team are fully aware and corrective action is taken. We appreciate you highlighting the issue, and the team will review this to prevent it happening again. Kindest regards Katie

My mother received home care as well as family input over a period of time . The care she received from the care agency was excellent.. It enabled us as a family to keep mum in her own home for a long time.
The agency communicated with us on a daily basis, as mum could be challenging at times, this
helped a lot .. The care staff and the office staff were considerate and helpful
to mums needs . I would recommend them to anyone who is considering help at home for a loved one

After a bad experience with another care firm, I contacted Helping Hands to care for my mum who has dementia. I cannot recommend their service highly enough. My mum is very comfortable with the same, regular carers and they have been reliable, genuine and nothing is too much trouble. I have been able
to organise extra care as needed and the flexibility of the service is outstanding.
The manager is very approachable and has popped by to assist with various issues and I have been informed of changes and issues consistently.
We have had to pause the care package whilst mum has been in respite care, and again this was no problem and communication has been great. The staff have been very professional and mum's needs have been met with understanding and dignity. Thank you so much Helping Hands!

My mum is currently receiving home care. Mum is really happy with the care she is receiving. All carers are friendly and make mum feel safe and happy. This in turn makes us as a family relaxed knowing mum is receiving brilliant care.

Review took place at client's home as requested by myself. I wanted some additional duties added to the list, which were noted & added to the details. Visit & review were carried out in a friendly & warm & caring manner. Manager interacted with myself & my dad & listened & took an interest in 'small
talk' not connected to the review. Gives myself peace of mind that my dad has good support from people who care.

After a very poor experience with another (local authority arranged) care company, I found Helping Hands to help expedite a hospital discharge that mandated some additional daily care visits, around 2 years ago. The team were quick to respond, and came out at very short notice to arrange a short term
care package, and outshone the other carer company in every way.
When my mum came home for extended hospital and supported care home period last August 2024, I immediately contacted helping hands again, as I felt confident that mum would be in safe hands.
Helping Hands (four members of staff especially but the whole care team) are exceptional.
They arranged doctors appointments if mum was unwell, collected prescriptions, went above and beyond in every way, and were always there for the full duration of the paid care visit (30 mins usually), whereas the other company were in and out in 10 mins flat.
HH would also help with shopping and other emergency asks. Mum passed away in May 2025

We are currently satisfied with our two carers. However, it has taken us several weeks to get to this position. Some carers clearly don't respect their training, and they complain that they are being put out. Not understanding the fact that they are here to work for the client, and they have chosen

I don't have family members living nearby. They all live miles away. They do visit every six weeks so my only contact with people is with the carrers from Helping Hands.I have 2 one hour visits and 3 half hour visits per week. They make my lunch and wash dishes and then we have a chat. They can also water
the odd plant as I can't carry a watering can. They are also very good at changing the bed as duvets can be very difficult.
I have found all the helpers have been very good and have been very satisfied with Helping Hands.

The team of carers who support my Mother 3 mornings a week are kind and willing to do whatever is needed on the day. The flexibility to be able to drive her to an appointment or to accompany her to an appointment is really helpful. We are also grateful for the management team to be able to change
the care appointments if necessary at short notice.

My elderly father in law has been assisted with taking a shower by the staff at Helping Hands for some time now. He has nothing but praise for every member of staff who has attended. They are all professional ,courteous and friendly. He is extremely deaf ,but the staff demonstrate great patience in
dealing with this.
We are very happy with 'Helping Hands' and would recommend their services.

The staff at Helping Hands always present my meals very well. They take care in what I eat. They make my meal times enjoyable, and they check my fridge for dates.
