Overall Experience

Helping Hands do exactly as their name suggests. Their staff are entirely trustworthy, caring, reliable, patient, well trained and courteous. Nothing is too much trouble. They manage my parent's needs promptly and comprehensively giving me reassurance in my absence as I live a long way away.

Overall Experience

Helping Hands have been attending to Mums needs for over two years now. They helped us at a time when we were very pushed for time and had to get care at short notice as the hospital wanted to discharge her very close to Christmas. We were looking at all options, but decided Mum would be happier if

she could stay at home.
I have changed the rota on numerous occasions based on the changes that Mum needs, and it has always been accommodated within 24 to 48 hours. The ladies come out in all weathers and they have never let me down. All the ladies are lovely and they look after Mum really well .
I cannot praise them enough and would highly recommend them to anyone

Overall Experience

My mum came out of residential care after a short illness last week.
She has really settled back home well with the excellent care you have provided.
In particular one carer got mum involved with a task of helping the carer. The carer washed up and mum dried. It is good for mum to be helpful where

she can.
Helping Hands have understood what my mum needs and are working closely with us.

My experience with 'Helping Hands' has been very good. The carers do their job with care and consideration for my wife, Elizabeth. I have no complaints about anything. Some of the carers are very helpful with other minor problems, which I appreciate. Keep up the good work!!

Overall Experience

Helping Hands have absolutely been the reason why mum can live independently in her home.
As a family - peace of mind for mums' safety and happiness in the priority - all of this is provided by Helping Hands.
The main carers are completely in charge of all matters to make mum's life good, and they

We were impressed with the standard of care Helping Hands provided during the months my Mum needed assistance. Overall Experience

I have been with Helping Hands since Jan 2025 who was recommended to me by a friend. I can honestly say I have no regrets. I have peace of mind knowing that I can rely on my 'helper' to keep my place of residence as I would wish it to be. Nothing is too much trouble.

We are more than happy with the service received from the girls. They are on time, thoughtful and caring towards my 92 year old mum. As well as being diligent in what they do, the girls chat to mum and give her the additional company that she needs. I know that when we are away, I can rely on them to

My wife and I fairly stubbornly evaded asking for help for quite a long time when we clearly needed it, despite family suggestions. It took an emergency situation for us to make a move and thankfully Helping Hands Swadlincote came to the rescue immediately. From the word go we were amazed at the

difference this has made to our lives and almost twelve months from that initial call we are happily spending our lives in a more relaxed fashion thanks to the very welcome visits we get three times every week from a particular member of staff, our Helping Hands personal carer. She is so thoughtful and understands our practical needs and those personal needs required by my wife. All dealt with in a respectful, kind and caring way. Plus we have many great laughs and it is very reassuring to us that someone who has got to know us well continues to call on us providing that all-important companionship. On the rare occasion when a change of carer to visit us has been made we have been equally impressed.

Overall Experience

The carers are very professional and compassionate. They make an effort to provide both practical and emotional support to my Mum. As well as the help with day to day living, having a friendly face and someone to chat to at the start of the day is very important.
Meanwhile, the care provided has been

so important to the rest of the family, as we know that someone is checking on Mum every morning. The carers contact me immediately if there is a problem. Moreover, the daily reports which can be accessed online are so valuable and enable me to work in partnership with the carers.

Overall Experience

Helping Hands provided care services for a period of 2.5 years for my wife, who has a degenerative disease. During the period her care needs have increased considerably.
In this time, we have had a number of different carers, but care was always of a high standard and my wife has been treated with

dignity and kindness. We have also seen a number of management changes in that time and initially there was room for improvement, but the current management at the Swadlincote branch has transformed the professionalism of the service they offer. They have always been able to accommodate changes in the level of care and short notice requests for additional shifts. When I was away from home, I was always confident that my wife would be safe with the carers and that they would leave the house secure when they left.
The main area for improvement is the national out-of-hours call centre, which can be difficult to contact when things go wrong.
HH can be expensive compared to some other providers.
