The home care service has created massive peace of mind for me. The staff are able to check things for me like that the phone is plugged in, internet plugged in, tablets taken, while also supporting my Mum in taking tablets, eating meals, going for walks, and making appointments.
Having staff able to take my Mum to and from appointments has been a huge help as we don't have to delay or organise everything around my work schedule.
My Mum was reluctant at first but the staff are amazing with her and encouraging her to go for walks with them etc.

I cannot thank them enough for all that they are doing to support my Mum and me.

All the carers were friendly, polite and very caring and socialble.

As it was my son who organised this for me. I would have liked to have details of what to expect the carers to do and details of the changes. I did ask the management, but did not receive any details; all I had was the monthly sum on my bank statement.

My parents have been having Helping Hands carers to cook lunch & leave tea over the past few months. They have found all carers who have attended to be very nice and pleasant and look forward to them coming. They have found the first lady carer who attended, to be especially helpful and very professional.

Thank you for providing a great service x

The carers have been so kind and attentive. Mum can't hear, so they are all adept at speaking into their phones so the words are printed on the screen for her to read. They cook her 'proper' meals from real ingredients, and suggest meals when she can't decide. They are adept at working the washer and dryer, and everywhere is spotless when they have left. They are good timekeepers, and will stay for a chat if there's time for that too.

Everyone who takes care of mum is wonderful. I cannot rate them highly enough from the manager and her team in the office through to the carers who come and see mum. Whenever I need anything it is accommodated. The carers are warm, friendly and caring and always do a brilliant job. I would highly recommend Helping Hands in Doncaster. Well done all and thank you

Helping Hands Doncaster have been outstanding in caring for my brother, who lives two hours away from me. Their communication is excellent-responsive by phone and email-and they really understand my concerns. The carers are kind, patient, and professional. I've spoken with three members of staff who have all been fantastic with my brother and great at keeping me informed. I also really value their online portal, which lets me check visit reports, upcoming bookings, and updates. My main contact, is brilliant-empathetic, understanding, and always helpful. Staff in the office is also very efficient and kind. Helping Hands have given me real peace of mind, and I'm so grateful for the care and support they provide.

Helping Hands were excellent when a member of staff found my father with a black eye of unknown origin. They contacted me and after discussions which included the doctor they phoned 999 and stayed with him until the ambulance arrived. I live 90 miles away so I could not be there.

Helpful and very caring. Thankyou.

We are both very pleased with the service we have recived. The carers have been very professional and really helpful and are mostly on time but we do understand sometimes there may be issues with other clients or heavy traffic. Any changes to visit times have been been dealt with straight away. No complaints at all

Really friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble for them both at the point of delivery and in the office. They treat my mum with the greatest of respect despite her being confused and sometimes unwilling to get out of bed to have her wash and meals.

From Helping with medication delivery to washing pots doing laundry and making meals or just providing a friendly chat. These ladies are fantastic.

All the careers looking after my mum are really kind and have called me if there is something that they want to make me aware of. Giving me the confidence that my mum has had her medication is a weight off my mind. Thank you!

We've used Helping Hands a number of time over the last 2 years and always found all of the care staff to be extremely professional as well as incredibly friendly. My 86 year old mother lives alone and independent thanks to the care that they provide. This gives our family full confidence that mum is safe and secure in her own home and well looked after. The staff manage her pain medication and ensure she is always well fed and drinking plenty of fluids. Most of all she always enjoys their company and this is really important to the whole family.

The back office team are extremely responsive and always available to change times, fill in for appointments etc and this takes the pressure off myself particularly.

Helping Hands have provided a consistently high quality of service. All the carers have made sure mum has what she needs. If I ring with any extra requests the office staff have always done their utmost to help. Mum was really hesitant to get the extra help she needs but is now comfortable with the agreed level of service and enjoys some new company each week.

It was a difficult change to my parents lives to accept care but they are always happy with the care they receive and always comment positively about their carers. We can not thank all staff enough

My mother is 89 this year. She has been unable to wash herself properly for a few months. As her son and full time carer, I was unable to assist in that respect.

I usually go away in October each year for a couple of weeks and my Sister stays to look after our mother, but this year my Sister advised she was unable to do that.

As a consequence I thought I would give Helping Hands a try at my mothers personal care and if successful, have them cover my absence in October.

Despite my reservations (dread) about the process, the initial consultation/ needs assessment was pretty impressive. The first 1 hour visit was even more impressive. I had booked an hour thinking that since my mother can be, lets say, difficult but the whole process took less than 30 minutes. The carer was outstanding. So I changed the appointment to twice a week for 30 minutes. I am now working on the logistics for my October escape and confident that Helping Hands are more than capable of covering my absence.

Helping hands have come in and transformed the care provision for my mum. The carers are so kind and professional. It feels like a partnership with them to look after my mum who has dementia. They are also very persuasive with my mum and make tablet, meals and trips out so much easier. The office is super responsive and I love the full transparency on all the tasks and notes online. I am so grateful to the Helping Hands Doncaster team.

Having a stranger come into your home daily can initially be daunting. Quickly the carers from Helping Hands are not strangers, they become known to you. You can trust them and they see jobs that need to be done and do them. Their work is not rushed but time is not wasted. The carers vary young to old, which we older people can delight in as it keeps us young also.
