My husband has Lewy Body Dementia, so he likes to have continuity. Mostly, he has the same regular carer who is excellent and has built up a good relationship with him. While she has been off following a car accident, the 3 replacement carers have also been really good in the way they interact with
and care for him. They always discuss any concerns with his health and personal hygiene with me, and help in any way they can.

Really god experience with using Helping Hands for the care needs of our father.
It was a simple process to agree the level and frequency of support needed. While dad seemed to have one or two favourite carers, all of those supporting him were sympathetic to his ever changing needs, and went beyond
the expected level of support as our father's situation worsened.
I would definitely recommend Helping Hands to others and the only reason that I haven't given 5 stars is due to the difficulty trying to access the daily updates on the App. But that wasn't for the want of trying on Helping Hands part.

Well done and thank you to the manager and the Dartford team.

I have no fault with my carer, in fact, the help and support that she gives me is second to none. In fact, I would say excellent, as I have shared with my friends. No job is too small. A very helpful, friendly, and genuine person. She has undertaken every job I have asked.

All staff are usually punctual, have a good rapport with the client and are very helpful, not afraid to get stuck in. Some do clock watch and rush away, but that's the general gist, as they are usually rushing to another client.

.Helping Hands was chosen by our Daughter and what a good choice she made .The general idea was to take hubby out for coffee just twice a week , allowing me to get some undisturbed sleep without the worry of him going walkabout. Although he became weaker and didn't want to go out he is very happy to
have the company to chat to, watch a bit of sport or old films with and I can still manage to get some sleep. To be able to really switch off and sleep deeply is wonderful and all the ladies and one man who have visited are so friendly and confident I can honestly say I never have the slightest concern with leaving him in their excellent care.
I also look forward to their visits, a little chat when they arrive and another before they leave is a boost for me and any questions I might have relating to day to day caring they are always happy to help me work through.
I am always singing their praises and have suggested the company to other family carers that I know.

The main home care helper for my husband has been the weekly home helper from late April to mid July, and both my husband and I want to give a big thumbs up to her. We hope she receives the credit within the organisation that she deserves - she's competent, cheery and pretty punctual . On the few occasions
when she hasn't been able to attend her replacement was not up to her standard. We have asked to have her back when we resume the visits in late September.
On the admin team side, we appreciated the fast response when we first contacted the local
Folkstone office , who carried out the initial assessment, then setting up of my husband's
account and then commencement of the visits.

I'm very happy with the service that Helping Hands have provided for my Mum, who has advanced dementia and limited mobility. It took a while to settle in to a routine and find the right carers to suit Mum, but since then they have provided important consistency in the carers who look after Mum as well
as being very helpful and responsive when we've had a problem or needed emergency cover. Mum's regular carers now are lovely, warm people, I feel very fortunate to have them looking after her and making her life as comfortable and happy as it can be.

I have been receiving care home Helping Hands for the past 9 months, previous and post knee surgery. All the carers have always been punctual and very flexible in terms of different tasks, some carers are versatile and help with tasks which I can't manage. Checking things are ok. It is always a pleasure
to see the cares who have become friends.

Helping Hands in Ramsgate took over the 24-hour care package for my mum who has PCA Alzheimer's which is a rare form and my mum is blind and was awarded CHC full funding due to the severity and complexity of her condition a year ago. The Care Manager put together a team of 5 experienced carers who look
after mum on a regular basis and rotate their shifts so that mum always knows the girls that are with her and trusts them. The carers are wonderful, they care for mum like she is their mum and have formed a wonderful bond with mum, nothing is to much trouble and my mum could not be in safer hands. I couldn't ask for better care for my mum at this late stage in her life. I will be eternally grateful for the support and care they are giving not only to my mum but also to the family.

Completely professional help from the managers in organising my care needs, and the carers have all been lovely.
I have only needed minimal care so far but my husband is shortly going into hospital to have an operation and the manager responded immediately with a care plan to suit my needs.

I had home visits daily for about 6/7 weeks, 3/4 hour calls to help me shower and dress after I was fitted with a temporary catheter in A&E. The assigned regular carer was very experienced and helpful. They helped me to cope with a difficult situation and to get back into a routine.

I am writing on behalf of my parents who are in their late eighties. When my father fractured his hip over Christmas 2024 we employed Helping Hands (Folkestone) to support my mother at home as my father was her main carer. We continued with visits for the next five months whilst my father was convalescing
at home. We gradually reduced the support as my father recovered until it was no longer needed. From the initial meeting to the final visit Helping Hands were excellent. They were able to guide us as a family through what was new ground, and were always up front and clear about charges. My parents main carer was always kind, considerate and caring. She built up a really good relationship with them over time. Their personal approach was flexible and accommodating to changing needs. I cannot recommend them enough. We will certainly call Helping Hands again should my parents need support in the future.

I am delighted with the service of Helping Hands. They fulfil exactly what our requirements were which is a daily lunchtime visit to prepare a simple meal, wash up, and whilst chatting, prepare a supper for the fridge 6 days a week. It is a great reassurance to the family to know that someone will
be there to check that all is OK every 24 hours, in addition to other visitors and service providers. Also, should circumstances change and more detailed care be required, the operatives are fully trained. A reliable service which has made a difference especially in terms of encouraging eating and hydration.

Sometimes in your life you come across people who make a difference.
Helping hands are the difference in my mum's little world. All the wonderful carers give mum all the love care and attention she needs and deserves every single visit, every single day. Every challenge we face, every new change and
extra care is integrated into mum's visits immediately.
The communication is exceptional. I live without worry, knowing mum, who is now nearing the end of her life, will have had the best care any daughter could ever wish for for their mum. Helping hands were the same for my late father which is why they were immediately contacted when mum started to need help and support and then as mum has deteriorated, we now have an extensive and comprehensive care support package keeping her safe and looked after.. So thank you all, for being so wonderful, truly caring, kind, attentive and very much part of mum's life.
